Happy Birthday Sweetie! - Card

One of my nieces is having a birthday soon. She is in the Mandarin Chinese immersion program at her school and loves Mulan. I thought it would be fun to do a Mulan inspired birthday card for her. I was just trying to figure out the design of my card when the new Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge came up. It made it a breeze to put together with the sketch as inspiration.

Below is the sketch (and there is still a ton of time to join in the challenge so you should join in too). You can find the details HERE.

PKC-14-09

And here is the card that I made. I changed things a tiny bit but stuck pretty close to the sketch.

I got the Mulan inspired cut file from Too Cute By Jessica's Pretty Little Princesses 2. The perfect little face I stamped on is from Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Face Assortment. The oval die and sentiment are both from My Creative Time. The oval comes from the Surprise Pop-Out Card die and the sentiment is from Celebrate Good Times.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

It's a FROZEN Celebration!

I just wanted to share a fun poster and some cake decorations that I made. I love how these turned out and I hope you do too.

Here is the poster:

I used some new files from Lettering Delights for this poster. They are called Ice Princess and Ice Princess Party. I used the print feature of my Silhouette Cameo for these and I just hid the faces so I could stamp them with some Peachy Keen Face stamps. I used the Princess Face Assortment.

And for the cake:

For this one I used the same Lettering Delight Files along with the print and cut feature on my Silhouette. I once again stamped their faces with the Princess Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I also used a bunch of awesome My Creative Time products on here. Emma came out with her Winter Flake Dies just in time. I also used the Build a Banner and All Around Birthday Time sets for the middle snowflake with the '5'. For the banner I used the Teeny Tags Layering Dies and the Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set, also by My Creative Time.

The celebration was a hit. I hope you enjoyed these too. Hugs- Glora

La bûche de Noël

For the current Let's Face it Friday Challenge over at the Peachy Keen Challenge blog we were asked to make a card or layout with you favorite holiday recipe. About 12 years ago I lived in France for 17 months. I spent two Christmases in France and my favorite Christmas treat was une buche de Noel. It is a yummy chocolate and cream filled creation rolled up and decorated to look like a log. It was often decorated with cute little decorations like holly and such. I am told that they are traditionally served with mushrooms made with meringue and that is why I have added cute little meringue colored mushrooms to my recipe layout.

Here is a little bit of a closeup:

The holly is actually a hidden recipe card. You just pull it up and the front has the ingredients on it and the back will have the directions on it. Here is a picture with the recipe card pulled out.

Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

MCT October Stamp Release Sneak #1

Hello My Creative Time friends. It is time for another release week at My Creative Time. Today we are showcasing a set called Cherish This Moment. This set has a REALLY nice sized font and terrific sentiments. It is SO perfect for scrapbooking but terrific for cards as well. Today's project is an autumn layout (you can click on the pictures if you want to see the details better).

Here is a closeup of the top title section:

The 'life is beautiful' and the 'cherish this moment' stamps are both on this set. I cut the autumn word art out from the Stretch You Imagination Cricut cartridge. I stamped the acorn with a Simple Sally face from Peachy Keen Stamps and added some faux stitching with my gel pen.

I just had to show a closeup of that sweet little leaf. The darling face is from the Princess Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

And another fun thing I wanted to show you was my 'hidden' journaling tag. Do you notice the curvy yellow piece to the side of this photo mat? Well it is a hidden journaling tag that I made with Emma's XL Label Die.

All I have to do is pull the tab and I can remove it and read the journaling for this page (which has not been completed yet, I will do that when I add the pictures)...

Did you notice those beautiful and perfect journaling lines (I so need those because I can not write straight without them)? Well those beautiful journaling lines that fit perfectly on Emma's XL Label Die are included in this new Cherish This Moment stamp set. So fun! I hope you enjoyed todays project.

Fall Banner

If you are looking for my Whimsical Wednesday - No Tricks Just Treats post scroll down or click HERE.

I had made a mini banner for summer and when I took it down my oldest started to plead with me to make a fall one. Her requirements were leaves and the word fall. I had wanted to put the word 'autumn' but she insisted fall was better so fall it is. This is also my project for the current Let's Face It Friday Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is the whole banner strung together with raffia. I think raffia is such a fun fall look.

This is a close up of the first girly leaf:

I inked all of the leaves and added a few doodle dots. The leaves come from the Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge and are cut at 5". The darling face is from the Princess Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is a closeup of one of the fall letters:

The letter is cut from the Gypsy Font cartridge and is cut at 1.5" (base and shadow layers).

Here is the cute little boy leaf:

The face for this one is from the Boy Mates stamp set by Peachy Keen stamps.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little fall banner. Have a terrific night friends! Hugs- Glora

My Teacher Rocks - Basket

If you are looking for the My Creative Time sneak peek #4 scroll down or click HERE.

Hello sweet crafting friends, I wanted to submit a project that I made for the Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday Challenge. It has been a busy week so this is going up right at the last minute.

I made a fun little container to put some pencils and other supplies in. My daughter's teacher asked for some pencils, erasers, glue sticks, etc. I thought they would look cute coming in this basket.

This basket is super easy to make and only requires a sturdy piece of 12 x 12 paper. This was some cute paper by Me and My Big Ideas. HERE is a picture tutorial that I found a while back on  Kristal Andrew's site (Getting Cricky) blog. These are super easy to make.

The AWESOME sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time. I've used this set A LOT and absolutely LOVE it!!!

The ruffle along the top is crepe paper. I got this fabulous idea from Kimberly over at My Craft Spot. I love the way it dresses things up. The pencils are from the Smiley Card Cricut cartridge. The adorable faces are by Peachy Keen Stamps - Boy Mates and Princess Faces. The twine at the top is by Trendy Twine.

This also seemed to fit the criteria for the Pinkalicious Blog Hop and Challenge so I wanted to enter it there as well.

Alright I think that about wraps it up. I hope to see you in the morning for the My Creative Time September Release Blog hop!!! Have a fabulous night! Hugs- Glora

Sneak Peek #1 - My Creative Time - September Stamp Release

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today is the start of another awesome stamp and die release from My Creative Time. Today we are showcasing the stamp set called Game Night. My family is really into playing games together. We have all sorts of fun board games and I lovingly refer to my mom as the Yahtzee Queen. So with today's set I thought it would be fun to make a game night invitation, something that I would actually love to make for our next big family game night.

Doesn't this little cutie look excited to play Bingo? This girl cut is from the Beyond Birthday's Cricut cartridge (she is on button #4 across the top of the overlay or on page 93 of the booklet). She is just supposed to be a silhouette image, but I thought it would be fun to cut her out three times, once in peach, once in yellow polka dots, and once in brown. From there I hand cut the dress, hair and barrette. I must admit that I did not like the way the hair turned out the first time so I used part of a hairdo from the Everyday Paper Doll Cricut cartridge to make it look better. The face is from the Princess Faces stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. And last but most definitely not least the darling bingo board and sentiment are from Emma's new Game Night stamp set.

I also did the inside of this card up just a little bit:

I want to make sure that you know that the 'Date:' and 'Time:' stamps are NOT on the Game Night stamp set they are from the "Honey Do" List stamp set that has been out for a while. I just thought that they coordinated PERFECTLY on here. See how the fonts match and everything. The darling dies and 'Let's play!' sentiments ARE on the new Game Night set.

Monday Madness... Imagine That!

Welcome to  another Monday Madness... Imagine That! with Emma at My Creative Time. This week we were to make anything we wanted so long as we used our Imagine or patterned paper. I don't have an Imagine, so it was patterned paper all the way!

I was super excited to break out my new Cricut Everyday cartridge that I got with my 3 month Cricut Circle trial membership. I had a really sweet friend give me the membership and this is the cartridge that they sent out to us.

Can you tell that it is a Gypsy?! I thought it would be fun to give her a cute Peachy Face too! I used Emma's 'Paper Princess' stamp set along with her 'Stitched Oval Die'! I love how many sentiments fit onto these dies. They are perfect! I LOVE them!!!

I hope you will hop on over to Emma's blog (if you haven't already been there) and see what she and the rest of the design team have in store for you! I'm hoping to find all of you sweet friends happy and well! Be safe and make it a good day! Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer - Day 5

Hello my sweet Peachy lovin' friends. I can not believe this wonderful week has come to an end. I have absolutely LOVED sharing my love of Peachy Keen Stamps with all of you and I'm so thankful for Kathy, Angelica and the whole Peachy Family for giving me this, dream come true, opportunity! Thanks a million times over!!!!

My last back to school project is a banner. I used my daughter's school colors of blue, red and white and have it hanging up in our house. My girls LOVE this banner and I hope you do too. First I'll show you a picture of the whole banner and then we will zoom in on some of the details...

Left side closer up:

Middle closer up:

Right side closer up:

Okay now here is my first little banner holding girl:

I think this little girl is such a CUTIE especially thanks to her darling Peachy Face! I used 'Princess Faces' for her super sweet face. I also used a background stamp called 'Punched Tin' by Market Street Stamps for her dress. I seriously want dresses with that same pattern on it for my girls!

Here is the cute banner holding boy:

For this sweet little boy, I used one of my favorite go to stamp sets called 'Wide Eyed Kids'! LOVE these! And for his sports team numbers I used the awesome chunky numbers from Emma's 'Follow Your Dreams' stamp set. If any of you are BYU sport fans that number should look familiar ;).

And now for the last little banner holder:

Doesn't she look SO happy! I just love the 'Happy Lashes' set by Peachy Keen Stamps. It makes everything look SO super cute! For the dress I stamped it with the 'Extra Small Polka Dot' stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Well, I think that's it. What a wonderful week!!!! Thanks so much for being so supportive and encouraging to me! You are all so very sweet and I hope that I can help to encourage you in your creative work as well. Hugs- Glora

The Blog Candy for this week, which was generously donated by Peachy Keen Stamps, is the new Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.
