Happy Birthday Tutu You!

Here is a more detailed look at another card from the Peachy Keen Stamps and Core'dinations Blog Hop.

The card base comes from the Create a Critter cartridge sized at 4.25 x 5.5". The background rectangle was hand cut at 3.5" x 4.75". This cute ballerina alligator came from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge, I cut her at 4". The sentiment for this card come from the June 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamp. The perfect little face came from the Funshine Faces Side Views stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. I used some Stickles and bling to add some fun sparkle. All of the papers are Core'dinations and the white background paper is pre-embossed. All of the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I also did a lot of faux stitching with my Sakura GellyRoll Pen.

Hugs- Glora

Wishing you a Fairy Happy Birthday

Here is the first card in detail from the Peachy Keen Stamps and Core'dinations Blog hop a couple of weeks ago. This card is one of my favorites because of the colors and because I absolutely LOVE Teddy Bears.

The card base comes from the Create a Critter cartridge sized at 4.25 x 5.5". The background rectangle was hand cut at 3.5" x 4.75". This little bear came from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. I cut her at 3.5". I used a star paper punch to make her a wand. The sentiment for this card come from the Peachy Keen Stamp set called Mini Fairies and Girl Gnomes. Her darling face comes from the Here Kitty Kitty 1 1/8" face assortment. I used some Stickles and Glossy Accents. All of the papers are Core'dinations and I also used the Core'dinations sander on the pre-embossed polka dot background and the bears ears and tummy. All of the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I also did a lot of faux stitching with my Sakura GellyRoll Pen.

I hope you have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Piano Birthday Card

I wanted to make a card for a very sweet friend. I work with her at church and she is simply amazing. I wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her. When I was thinking of a card for her I just wanted to do something that looked really classy. I hope I accomplished that plus she does play the piano so that helped with the inspiration as well.

All the cuts are from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. The beautiful music pattern is a stamp. It is called 'Vintage Music' by Market Street Stamps, and the oh so perfect birthday sentiment is from My Creative Time's 'Many Greetings' stamp set. I Inked the edges a little and added a few gold accents and I was done. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer - Day 1

Hello, Peachy Keen Friends. Today is the first day of my guest designer spot for Peachy Keen Stamps and I'm thrilled. When I realized that my Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week and the start of school (in my neck of the woods) would coincide it seemed only natural to plan 'back to school' projects. At the time I didn't realize how popular that theme was going to be this month. Nevertheless, I'm VERY excited to share with you some fun projects that I made with a 'back to school' theme in mind.

Today, I have one of my favorite kinds of cards to share with you. I call it a spinner card and was originally inspired to make this kind of card when I saw THIS card on Nikki (Scrappin' Navy Wife's) blog. I have a picture tutorial for this kind of card HERE if you are interested in making one of these yourself. If you do make one, let me know I'd love to come and see it!

So here is the first face of my back to school girl:

I had to start with this sad face because I have to admit that the very first day of school can be scary or sad at first for the child (in my case for the MOM)! But don't worry because it gets better, as you turn the dial...

You  get a smiley face. Yes, the little girl finds out that school really is fun and she is having a great time (and that makes this whole school thing easier for Mom too) and then turn the dial one last time and we find...

This little girl leaves school SO happy and she is super excited just thinking about the next day!

Don't those darling faces just bring this girl to LIFE?! I seriously LOVE my Peachy Keen Stamps to pieces. For this project I used one of my favorite sets called Wide Eyed Kids. I also used the adorable Princess Face stamps.

The darling Back to School sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time as well as that cute stitched circle in the corner. It is from the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die set (I just cut it down to fit in the corner).

Here is a VERY short video just showing how the card looks as you turn the dial. If you are interested in the picture tutorial on making this card click HERE.

The prize for this week, which was generously donated by Peachy Keen Stamps, is the new Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.

If you leave a comment here and on the Peachy Keen Stamps Home page each day this week, you will have up to 10 chances to win these adorable stamps. I will be drawing the winner on Saturday, August 27th. Good luck and thanks for stopping by today! I hope to see you tomorrow! Hugs- Glora

Proud to Be an American

Well, here I am getting in another Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday challenge at the last minute. I was gone on vacation and have been busy with sneak peeks but I wanted to hurry and squeeze this one in. I also wanted to make this for the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge that started up yesterday. It was also a patriotic theme but we needed to add buttons, brads or bling. I added buttons.

That super cute sentiment is on the 'My Little Firecracker' stamp set by Emma at My Creative Time. These are the cutest patriotic sentiment stamps. And the super adorable face is Wide Eyed Kids. I just LOVE these faces! I find myself using them A LOT!!!

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you will come by tomorrow for Emma's awesome June release blog hop! Hugs- Glora

We are So Proud of You

*** This post disappeared during the BLOGGER problem. I though it might show back up but it hasn't so I've re-added it back **

Well I guess there is nothing like a last minute challenge entry. This challenge seriously closes in about one hour. Anyway, this card is for the Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday Challenge. The challenge was to use a banner somewhere on your project and a Peachy Keen face stamp. Well I just went to the cutest spring dance recital and wanted to give some of the participants a little card telling them how proud we were of them. The youngest was only 3 years old and they were so brave to stay on the stage and perform their little numbers.

I think they will love their little cards. The sentiment is from Emma's graduation set called "Follow Your Dreams" This set has some awesome sentiments of congratulations that can be used for many cards beyond graduation. The cute pink patterned paper is actually a Market Street background stamp stamped with watermark ink. It is called 'Punched Tin'. Isn't it beautiful? And of course that cute face is from a darling Peachy Keen Stamp set called Wide Eyed Kids.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

MS Blog Hop

Welcome to the MS (Mulitple Sclerosis) Blog Hop. If you are coming from Amy's blog, then you are in the right place! However, if you are just randomly coming up on this blog hop, please head back to Fancy Framework so that you can see ALL of the fun we have in store for you.

Our projects today all have to do with MOVEMENT. I hope you will take the time to drop by all of the stops and if you have the money, and/or are looking for a 2011 tax write-off, make a donation HERE or bid on some of the projects that are up for auction. Some of us girls are donating our projects to the cause. So if you are looking for some fun cards and/or craft items and would like to get a tax write off at the same time, then you are in luck go ahead and bid. In the comment form put BID: (and then an amount). I am a NO pressure sort of gal, so I will not feel bad if you do not want to bid on my project. Honestly. Feel free to comment for a chance to win the blog candy, whether you want to bid or not. Sound fair? Good.

Now on to my cards.

I made an everyday girl card and an everyday boy card. The darling sentiments inside are both from My Creative Time's stamp set called, Turn That Frown Upside Down. They are both on Action Wobbles and are fun to play with. They would definitely put a smile on the face of the little one that received it. They come as a set (including envelopes) so if you do bid it is for both of them, and just for fun, if the winning bid is over $10, I will include the leprechaun card posted HERE (which is also on an Action Wobble).

Outside / Inside of girl card:

Outside / Inside of boy card

Thanks so much for joining in the fun. I have 10 Action Wobbles as my blog candy, so go ahead and make a comment and I will randomly select a winner from the comments on Monday, March 7th, 2011.

The bidding on the items will go until Monday morning as well. I will let the winner know the rest of the details at that time.

Your next stop is Gloria from Girlia's Cards. If you get lost along the way, head on back to Linda's blog as she has a list of the full line up.

Turn That Frown Upside Down

Have you ever seen something someone has made and been so in awe of it, that you just had to try something like it? Well this is what happened to me last night. My fellow Creative Time design team member Miss Nikki AKA: Scrappin' Navy Wife made the cutest astronaut spinner card. If you haven't seen it, you have got to check it out! It is OUT of this WORLD ADORABLE! Click HERE to link to Nikki's awesome card and blog.

So like I said I couldn't get the idea out of my head. My daughter saw it too and wanted a girly version made for her. I put on my thinking cap and pulled out my Gypsy and this is what I came up with. I only put two different faces on mine, but it is still super fun to play with. Part of the inspiration came from Emma's (My Creative Time's) adorable stamp set 'Turn That Frown Upside Down'. I knew that sentiment would be perfect because I would litterally be turning the frowny face into a smiley face- LOL. So here is the frown:

And here is the SMILE - aren't those Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kid face stamps THE CUTEST?!!!

Here is a super short video showing how the card works. Thanks for looking.

Once again - total props to awesome Nikki - Scrappin' Navy Wife!!! And thanks for dropping by!

Throwback Thursday and EXCITING News!

First of all I have to share my SUPER exciting news! I've known for almost a week, but Emma (My Creative Time) decided to do a design team and she chose me along with 7 other talented crafters. Can I just say that the fact that she chose me has put me on cloud 9. She is one of the sweetest crafters around. She was the second 'follower' of my blog (my sweet husband was the first). She is amazingly talented and so positive and encouraging towards other crafters. Oh and did I mention that she just came out with some super adorable sentiment stamps! This is going to be an awesome team to be on. I can't wait for my 3 month adventure! THANKS SO much to Miss EMMA!!!!

Every other Thursday Emma does a challenge on her blog called Throwback Thursday. This week we could use whichever cartridge we wanted but needed to incorporate a heart. Here is my kitty valentine that I made yesterday:

I had already made this little puppy valentine card last Sunday. I wanted to share it now because I think they make a super cute set. This dog and cat come from the Sweethearts cartridge, and in my opinion, they are not all that cute with the faces they come with, but add a Peachy Keen Stamps face and they are SERIOUSLY about the CUTEST things on earth!

Oh, I love Valentine's Day. I'm looking forward to making lots of other cute Valentines. How about all of you?

The cat and the dog both have a bobble head thanks to an Action Wobble. Here is yet another short video showing how fun these Action Wobbles are.

ZUMBA!!!

Yes, I love Zumba! It is a dance/aerobic type craze that has hit the nation. And I'm happy to be a part of it. I have a super sweet friend that has been teaching a community class, for free, 2-3 times a week. She has helped me start back on the path to a healthier lifestyle. I won't get too personal but I have lost a few (of many) VERY unwanted pounds and my bloodpressure has gone from borderline high to almost perfectly normal. Anyway, this sweet friend is heading in for her Zumba certification today and I wanted to wish her luck with this shape card.

This little cutie is from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. I thought she looked like she could be an aerobics girl as well. Doesn't that adorable Peachy Keen Stamp make her look so SUPER cute. I love Peachy Keen Stamps!!!!! Anyway, I hope my friend likes her card, but more importantly I hope she knows how much I appreciate her willingness to help us ladies get/keep in shape.
