MCT April Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the final stop on the My Creative Time April Release Blog Hop. I have had SO much fun this week as the guest designer and I hope you have enjoyed some of the projects I've had to share with you as well. Thanks SO much to Emma for letting me join in. You should have arrived at my blog from Veronica's blog but if not make sure to head back to Emma's blog and get the full hop in. I know there are fabulous projects at every stop, you won't want to miss a thing.

I have two projects for you today! Like I mentioned yesterday I'm totally thrilled and excited about the Springtime in Paris set and couldn't wait to scrap my first day in PARIS now that I have the perfect set. There I am as fresh as a daisy, LOL, after a 3 layover flight to Paris, France. The president (adult leader) of my mission came and picked us up from the Charles de Gaulle airport and we stopped and saw a few sights. We went to Trocadero, the perfect spot to get a full shot of le tour eiffel (the Eiffel Tower). We also got pictures with the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine river in the background. And although I don't have a picture of it, I don't know if I've ever been quite as scared for my life as I was when we drove down the Champs-Ellysees and onto the round-about that circles the Arc de Triomphe. There are 10 or more streets that empty into/off of that round-about and cars were going in, out and around it at least 6 cars deep. It was SCARY. That is one experience I will pass on next time I go to France :). Anyway, sorry to keep you, I couldn't help but reminisce a tiny bit.

Here is my layout:

The vines, designs (french damask), French sentiments, Eiffel Tower and coordinating die all come in the Springtime in Paris set. For my date at the bottom I used the die and alphabet stamps from Just Simply Live. My Bienvenue a Paris (Welcome to Paris) sign is stamped on the Vintage Stitched Label Dies and each of my pictures was cut out using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die.

My last quick project is a gift tag. I got this awesome bottle of  Sweet on Paris body-wash from Bath and Body Works and I wanted to make up a little thank you gift tag for it.

I cut out the Eiffel Tower die, from Springtime in Paris, on sturdy white cardstock and then I stamped it with the coordinating Eiffel Tower stamp and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I inked it up with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I added an eyelet at the top and stamped the Merci (thank you) sentiment to one of the Chunky Jar Accessories die cuts and attached it to the side of the Eiffel Tower. I think it turned out pretty cute and it took very little time at all.

Halloween Hustle Day 5

I can't believe it is the last day of the My Creative Time Halloween Hustle. I had so much fun and I got so many awesome ideas too. I hope you loved it as much as I did.

I have a SUPER easy project for you today. I bought these cute little Halloween lip balms for my girls and wanted to doll them up with just a bit of twine and a cute tag and sentiment. It doesn't get any easier than this.

I used the brand new sentiments from the new Teeny Tag Holiday stamp set. Aren't those cute? There are some great holiday sentiments for the whole entire year and you can start buying this stamp set today. Something else that is fun is that this set isn't just for the Teeny Tag Dies you can use most if not all of these sentiments with the tags that are on the Chunky Jar Accessories Set. I just love how versatile My Creative Time products are.

Make sure to check out Emma's blog. I'm certain that you will leave with some awesome ideas. Hugs- Glora

Game On Football Frame

It is time for a new Peachy Keen Challenge. This challenge is to make something 3D and that has the theme of FALL SPORTS.

My brother played lots of football and I thought this fun altered frame would be a great way to display one of his favorite football pictures.

The 'game on' sentiment and the awesome football with the stitched circle around it both come from the October 2013 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps. I used a circle that I had cut out on my Cricut machine to stamp the football image on and I used a die from the Chunky Jar Accessories set by My Creative Time to stamp the sentiment on.

Simple and easy but I think he is going to love having this little visual reminder of his football days.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Challenge and join in on the fun too.

More Baptism Cards

Well I have some more simple baptism cards to share. You will probably see a few more of these as there are still about 4 or 5 more children that will be baptized this year.

I used a floral embossing folder, some prima flowers, adhesive pearls, and a little ribbon. I also used My Creative Time's Stitched Oval Die along with the Many Greetings Stamp set. Have a wonderful Sunday!

For this one I used another Cuttlebug Embossing folder. I used the same baptism sentiment stamp by My Creative Time. I added some butterflies from a die that comes in the Chunky Jar Accessories set.also by My Creative Time. I folded up their wings for some extra dimension. Then I tied it off with some purple ribbon.

You Hold the Key to My Heart

***If you are looking for my Peachy Keen Stamps & SVG Cutting Files Blog Hop post please click HERE or scroll down to the next post.***

Today is Thoughtful Thursday at My Creative Time. Make sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what everyone has been made.

I used the More of My Favorite Sayings stamp set by My Creative Time along with one of the key dies from the Chunky Jar Accessories stamp and die set. The scalloped heart and stripe cut is one of the pre-loaded images that came with my Silhouette Cameo. I just made a simple shape card out of the image. I really love how precise the Silhouette cut this image.

I did a little faux stitching and added a ribbon at the top and my little shape card was done. I hope you enjoyed it. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Easter Treat Basket

It is time for another 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time.

For my project I got my inspiration from a recent trip to Archiver's. They had these paper baskets that I've made before, but there's had something different. They had a peeking bunny over one of the edges. They had used some paper punches and hand drawn a face on theirs too. I couldn't get over the cute idea and knew that I had to make one but with Emma's dies and with a Peachy Keen Face Stamp.

To make my bunny I used Emma's Stitched Circle Die and the Stitched Oval Die. Easy peasy but cute too. I used the Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8" faces by Peachy Keen Stamps for the face. The sentiment is from Emma's To My Best Peep stamp set and the little piece I stamped on is a die from the Chunky Jar Accessories set.

If you haven't made one of these baskets before it is SUPER simple. My friend Pam made a video tutorial on how to make these a while back. Click HERE if you are interested in seeing her video. Most people make these with a 12x12 piece of paper (which requires a LOT of candy to fill it). I was going for something a little smaller and used a 6x6 piece of paper.

If you are interested in making these in different sizes I will give you some measurements below that might help you out:

*The original 12x12 size is scored at 4" and 8" (when completed the base and each side panel is 4"x4")

*For a 9"x9" piece of paper score at 3" and 6" (when completed the base and each side panel is 3"x3")

*For a 7.5"x7.5" piece of paper score at 2.5" and 5" (when completed the base each side panel is 2.5"x 2.5")

*For a 6"x6" piece of paper score at 2" and 4" (when completed the base and each side panel is 2"x2"). THIS is the size that I used for this project!

And if you want to make a really tiny one...
take a 3"x3" piece of paper and score at 1" and 2" (when completed the base and each side panel is 1"x 1")

Make sure to stop by Emma's blog and check out the other 3D projects!

Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Stamp Book

Welcome to another 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time. For my project today I finally put together a stamp book like the one that my design team sister, Miss Crafting Katie, made. You can check out her stamp book HERE along with all the details on how to make it.

For the outside of my book I used the new Chunky Jar Accessories stamp and die set along with the Paper Princess stamp set to make my patterned paper (I used watermark ink). I used the Lowercase Fun Dies for the letters. I also used the Stitched Circle from the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die set to make my little tabs. From the outside it looks like a pretty scalloped edge but from the inside you can see my different stamp section labels.

I like how this turned out so much that I'm in the process of making one for all of my PKS Face Stamps and another one for all of my other PKS stamps. I will share what they look like here on my blog when I get them finished up.

Make sure to check out all the other 3D projects on Emma's blog! Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora
