MCT February Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time February Release Blog Hop. If you came here from Courtney's blog then you are in the right spot, if not make sure you start at Emma's blog so you can get the whole hop in.

Today I am showing you the awesome Treat Slider Die!

This really makes for a cute little treat box. I wanted to make little windows for each of these boxes so you could see the treat that is inside them. For this first one I cut a heart shaped window out with the Stitched Heart Layering Dies and covered it with some vellum. I added the Teeny Tag and a sentiment from You Had Me at Chocolate. It is filled with Sweethearts. It is tied off with some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Next I made a St Patrick's Day one. For it I used the new shamrock die that comes in the You're My Pot of Gold set. The sentiments all come from an oldy but goody I Believe in Leprechauns. I filled it with chocolate gold foil coins (an idea borrowed from my fellow DT members) and I tied this one off with some more hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

And last but not least is an Easter one. For this one the sentiments and die I used to make my window come from the To My Best Peep stamp and die set. It is filled with jelly beans and tied off with some twine from The Twinery.

Here is a picture of this new set. PLEASE SEE NOTE BELOW THIS PICTURE:

Everyday Cricut Project - Dancing Leprechaun

Hi crafty friends. Sorry things have been SO quiet on here this week. Life has just been good and busy and it hasn't left a whole lot of time for crafting. The little I have got done is for the upcoming PKS Stamp of the Month release. You will NOT want to miss that so make sure you are checking in on the sneaks the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April.

Today I'm sharing my St. Patty's Day card that I made over at Everyday Cricut a couple of weeks ago. I figured I better get it posted over her before March is over ;).

This is a pretty simple shape card that I made in my Gypsy using the Lacey Labels Cricut Lite cartridge and the Simply Charmed cartridge.

I really LOVE the leprechauns on the Simply Charmed cartridge. They are just too sweet. I stamped his face with a stamp from the February 2012 Stamp of the Month set by Peachy Keen Stamps and those absolutely PERFECT St Patty's Day sentiments are from My Creative Time's I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set.

I added lots of stitching and doodling with my Sakura Gellyroll pen and that darling little leprechaun is on an Action Wobble, so he really is doing a little jig. If you haven't seen an Action Wobble in motion before I have a really quick 20 second video that you can watch below.

Thanks for taking a look at my project. I hope your day is TERRIFIC!!!! Hugs- Glora

Have a Sham-Rockin' Day!!!!

I've made a VERY simple note card for you today.

This little cutie shamrock (with all its perfect stitching) is from the February 2012 Stamp of the Month set by Peachy Keen Stamps. I think he is just too cute! I added an Action Wobble to the back of him so that he could wobble around, in fact my 3 year old has tested him out A LOT already. Did you know that Peachy Keen Stamps sell Wobbles? You can check them out HERE. They really make for a fun and interactive card. Children love wobble cards, but I've found that adults have a blast with them too. The perfect sentiment for my rocking shamrock comes from My Creative Time's I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set.

I've added just a SHORT video for those of you who haven't seen an Action Wobble in action before...

Have a Sham-Rockin' Day friends! Hugs- Glora

3D Wednesday with My Creative Time - St Patty's Day Treats

Hello and welcome to another 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time

For my project today I made little St Patty Day treat holders. My mother-in-law had brought my girls the cutest Valentine treats in containers just like this (except with a heart cut out and they were pink and red but you get the idea - the STYLE was the same). Anyway, after my girls had taken the candy out I opened it up and saw how easy it would be to replicate in my Gypsy and so I did.

All it took was a rectangle from Plantin' Schoolbook (3" by 8") welded to a scallop edge from Plantin' Schoolbook (3" wide). Then I added a shamrock from the Designer's Calendar cartridge (add it upside down because when you assemble it will end up right side up). I cut it out and then I scored it a 3.25", 4.75" and 8" and voila, I was done with the basic container.

After cutting and scoring I decided to clear emboss the front with the cute Lucky Day Shamrock background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps and I added a fun sentiment from Emma's darling I Believe in Leprechaun's stamp set.  I REALLY love these two sentiments I used because they are PERFECT to use ANY time of the year.

For the candy I put it in a tiny treat bag and stapled it in place. Then I added the white scallop piece to cover the staple and a little bit of twine and I was done. Easy but cute. I hope you enjoyed these. I can't wait to see what Emma and the rest of the design team have in store for us! Hugs- Glora

Lucky to Have a Friend Like YOU!

That title is perfect, because I am lucky to have friends like you. I guess this is one of those last minute posts. The deadline is in less than two hours, but I made it. This card is my Let's Face it Friday Peachy Keen entry. The challenge was to use stitching (real or faux) and a Peachy Keen Face. I made another spinner card. Can I just say these things are addicting. I have ideas for several more too.

Anyway, here it is, face #1...

Turn the knob a little and you get face #2...

Spin a little more and you get the final face, face #3...

This oh so perfect sentiment is from Emma's (My Creative Time's) I Believe in Leprechaun set. All the face stamps are Peachy Keen Stamps. #1 is Wide Eyed Kids, #2 is Happy Lashes & #3 is Critter Faces. Speaking of Peachy Keen they are having a sale through midnight (March 17th) so if you have been wanting some cute Peachy stamps now is a great time to do it!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Card X 30

Okay, so you are going to look at this card and think it is the simplest card you've ever seen. Well it probably is. My Daddy wanted 30 St. Patrick's Day cards so he could send one to each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He wants to write each grandchild a special note from him and my Mom and include a lucky $2 bill.

This is a tri-fold style card. You open up the shamrock...

Then open the Happy St. Patrick's Day flap and there is lots of space for writing, which I happen to know my Papa will use up completely. He loves writing notes to his family.

So, how long does it take to make 30 simple cards. Well, I don't how long it would take most of you, but it took me about 3 hours and I was feeling REALLY good about that. I completed each step for every card before moving to the next. This makes it go SO much faster. So I cut all 30 cards and then the 30 shamrocks, then I folded all of them, next I adhered the green shamrocks to each card, then I stamped all of their adorable Peachy faces, following that I stamped them all with Emma's cute sentiment and last of all I did my doodling. 3ish hours later... 30 cards... et VOILA!

Throwback Thursday Design Team Project- St Patty's Day

Hello crafty friends. It is time for another Throwback Thursday Challenge. For this challenge you can use any older Cricut cartridge that you want and the theme is St Patrick's Day! Please join us in the fun and make sure to check out THIS post to see all of the fun design team projects.

Here is my card (which is also my entry for the Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge):

Isn't that stamped sentiment PERFECT? It is from Emma's I Believe in Leprechaun's set. The leprechaun is from Simply Charmed, however, I had to change him up just a tad. His little derby hat was cute, but I wanted to give him the leprechaun hat from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. With the help of my awesome Gypsy, I was able to size it just the way I wanted it. Oh yes, and this happy fellow is on an Action Wobble. He had to be dancin' the St Patty's Day jig.

Here is a super quick video that my husband did the audio for. Enjoy!

Have a Sham-rockin' Day!!!!

Alright, I just got my stamps from Emma (My Creative Time), and can I tell you they are AMAZING! They are so SUPER cute and they stamp like a dream because they are manufactured by Peachy Keen Stamps. Those of you who are Peachy fans know what kind of quality that is. Emma has designed some gorgeous stamps!!!

While I know that St Patty's Day is a ways off. I had this idea for this stamp and had to make it. This sentiment comes from the I Believe in Leprechauns stamps set. I hope you like it.

Here is a closer look at this adorable stamp set

I had to attach the shamrock to an Action Wobble, so it could be rockin'. So here is another really short video.
