Feliz Cumpleanos

Well Pam and I like to do a cut challenge each month. We were doing it on the first Wednesday of the month and having it as an open challenge. We have both had a lot going on so we decided that for the time being we will just keep the cut challenge between ourselves.

I chose the cut this month, the 6 candle cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge. I like this cut and haven't used it before. I thought it would be a cute cut for my nephew's birthday.

I kept the colors bright and basic because it is for a boy. I also used my Peachy Keen stamps for the faces. I used both Simple Simons and the December 2012 SKOTM for the faces. The Spanish birthday sentiment is from Emma's (My Creative Time's) Wow So Many Candles! stamp set. I used Versamarker around all the edges and did some accenting with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. I also pop dotted the candles up and rounded some corners as well.

Don't those faces make you smile? I hope they will bring a smile to the birthday boy's face too. Make sure to check out Pam's blog (HERE) so you can see what she did with this cut too. I can't wait to check it out as well. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Thankful Blog Hop

Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps Thankful Blog Hop. Today we are hopping with the current and alumni design teams and it is all about being THANKFUL. I hope you enjoy all the projects today and end up feeling inspired and thankful. You should have arrived here from Raven Baca's blog but if not make sure that you start back at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog so you don't miss out on anything.

For my project I made a thankful banner:

I know it looks small here but the pilgrims are actually over 12" tall. I used the new 4" Everyday Character Faces for these cuties and I think I am in LOVE. I'm SO thankful that Kathy made these.

Here are some close ups:

The cute pilgrims come from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and are extra cute because of their Peachy faces. Here is the boy:

The banner pieces and letters are all cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge:

I have so much to be thankful for. I have a beautiful family and a strong faith. We are truly blessed, I could could go on and on but I know you will want to keep hopping along.

Don't forget about the big sale going on right now:

There are some gift certificates up for grabs so make sure that you comment on as many blogs as possible to increase your odds of winning.

Your next stop is Ruthie Nixon

Simply Crafts Challenge September 2012

Well believe it or not it is the first Wednesday of September which means it is time for another Simply Crafts Challenge. This month I chose the cut and it is the birthday sundae on the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. If you would like to join in on the fun you can get the full details HERE on the Simply Crafts Challenge blog.

Here is my card using this cut.

This is the second day in a row that I've posted an ice cream card. Well I guess I have just been in the ice cream mood and let's face it ice cream makes me happy so the sentiment ICE CREAM = HAPPINESS! rings true for me. My card base comes from the Birthday Bash cartridge as well. I hadn't cut any of their pre-designed card shapes before and really thought I should give one a try. I love how this one turned out, in  fact so much so that I am planning on trying another one very soon. I didn't want to cut out and glue tiny sprinkles so I used some sprinkle paper from a 6x6 Imaginisce Hello Cupcake paper pad. I added some VersaMarker and some doodling to most of the pieces. I did some faux stitching along the edges of the card as well. And that oh SO perfect sentiment comes from My Creative Time's Celebrate Good Times stamp and die set.

Make sure to check out Pam's blog so you can see the details on her project and once again if you would like to join in on the fun and have a chance at winning an awesome prize link up at the Simply Crafts Challenge blog. Hugs- Glora

Welcome Baby Banner

If you are looking for the My Creative Time June Release Blog Hop make sure to scroll down to the next post.

Hi sweet Peachy Keen Fans. Today is my day to post on the Peachy Keen Blog and I have a fun little 'welcome home baby' door sized banner to share with you.

Here is the whole banner so you can get an idea of how it looks all together.

And here is a closer shot:

All of the light blue paper was stamped with a background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps called Grampa's Pajamas. I think it looks so sweet on here. The banner pieces are cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and the letters are cut from the Pooh Font Cricut cartridge. I added eyelets and inking to each banner piece. I also added some faux stitching around each letter.

I love how sweet these little babies turned out with their Peachy faces, so I have a closeup of each baby:

The babies are cut from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge and their sweet faces are from the Just Baby Faces Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I chalked the edges and cheeks and added some Glossy Accents to the eyes. The banner is connected with some tricolor Trendy Twine.

I hope you enjoyed this banner and I hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs- Glora

LUCKY Banner

Hello Peachy Keen Fans. Today is my day to post on the Peachy Keen Blog and I have another project using those beautiful 4" faces by Peachy Keen Stamps. I love to make banners for each holiday and I love to have people or animals holding up the banner. I was so excited when the 4" faces came out because now I can make some bigger banners.

Here is what the whole banner looks like:

I know they look tiny on here but those leprechauns are actually about 11.5" tall. Aren't they adorable? They are from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. Here is the first one closer up, I used the Happy Lash Mouth Open With Tongue Out 4" stamp:

And here is the leprechaun on the end, closer up, for him I used the Happy Lashes Mouth Open 4" stamp:

And last of all here is a close up of one of the letters, I used the Lucky Day Shamrock background stamp on each of the letters. It makes the perfect St. Patty's Day paper. I REALLY love this background stamp. The shamrocks are from the Designer's Calendar Cricut cartridge and the letters are from Birthday Bash:

I wish you could all see this in person, it is a terrific size with the leprechauns at 11.5" and the shamrocks at 4.5". Anyway, I hope you like it and that it inspires you to try something new and fun. Hugs- Glora

Cricut Banner

**If you are looking for Gilby's Makeover walk scroll down or click HERE**

I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the Cricut Banner contest. The contest was to make a banner with the word CRICUT. There are supposed to be 5 winners of the new E2 Cricut Machine and many of the banners will be shown on HSN on Monday, September 26th. I don't have cable so if you happen to see my banner let me know ;).

When I heard about the contest I had a couple of ideas but only got one of them made and turned in before the deadline. Here is a full picture of the banner, you can always click on a picture if you want to see it close up, but I will include some closeups as well:

Close up of left side:

Close up of right side:

Close up of the letters only:

These banner pieces are from Birthday Bash and are cut at 5.5". I included LOTS of stitching...

And now to my VERY favorite part of the banner... The Cricut LOVING banner girls. Here is the brunette:

This cute brunette was cut at 9.5" and is about 10" tall assembled. Her face is a Peachy Keen face I bought on clearance last year (discontinued). It is a BIG face and fits this darling banner girl PERFECTLY!!! She is holding her lovely Cricut green Gypsy and her darling Creative Genius shirt was a bonus stamp that Emma gave out with one of her stamp releases.

Now onto our adorable blondy:.

This cutie is a quite the paper princess. Her cute sentiment on her crafty shirt came from Emma's Paper Princess stamp set. She has another huge Peachy Keen Face that I picked up on clearance last year (discontinued). Can I say I'm SO glad I bought these last year!!! You could get very similar faces, just a little bit smaller with the 7-9"  Basic Paper Doll Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps. Anyway, she has her Baby Bug Cricut with her and is ready to play with some paper because that is what makes her HAPPY!

I had a BLAST making this and I LOVE how it turned out. I plan on making one to put in my craft room when I get some spare time - LOL! I hope you enjoyed it!

Football Themed Birthday Cards

My Dad really loves football and his birthday was last week, so I thought this would be the perfect theme for his birthday card. I also incorporated the colors of his favorite college team - BYU. It was a hit!

This card is 5.5" x 5.5." I used Emma's 'Wow! So Many Candles' stamp set for the sentiment and embossed it with the Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug embossing folder. I also made a similar card for my great-nephew but his is standard A2 Size of 4.25 x 5.5.

I had made a similar style of a basketball card a while back. HERE is the link if you are interested on seeing it or getting more details on that one.

Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer - Day 5

Hello my sweet Peachy lovin' friends. I can not believe this wonderful week has come to an end. I have absolutely LOVED sharing my love of Peachy Keen Stamps with all of you and I'm so thankful for Kathy, Angelica and the whole Peachy Family for giving me this, dream come true, opportunity! Thanks a million times over!!!!

My last back to school project is a banner. I used my daughter's school colors of blue, red and white and have it hanging up in our house. My girls LOVE this banner and I hope you do too. First I'll show you a picture of the whole banner and then we will zoom in on some of the details...

Left side closer up:

Middle closer up:

Right side closer up:

Okay now here is my first little banner holding girl:

I think this little girl is such a CUTIE especially thanks to her darling Peachy Face! I used 'Princess Faces' for her super sweet face. I also used a background stamp called 'Punched Tin' by Market Street Stamps for her dress. I seriously want dresses with that same pattern on it for my girls!

Here is the cute banner holding boy:

For this sweet little boy, I used one of my favorite go to stamp sets called 'Wide Eyed Kids'! LOVE these! And for his sports team numbers I used the awesome chunky numbers from Emma's 'Follow Your Dreams' stamp set. If any of you are BYU sport fans that number should look familiar ;).

And now for the last little banner holder:

Doesn't she look SO happy! I just love the 'Happy Lashes' set by Peachy Keen Stamps. It makes everything look SO super cute! For the dress I stamped it with the 'Extra Small Polka Dot' stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Well, I think that's it. What a wonderful week!!!! Thanks so much for being so supportive and encouraging to me! You are all so very sweet and I hope that I can help to encourage you in your creative work as well. Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer - Day 2

Hello friends, welcome to day 2 of my Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week. Today is the beginning of a new sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog and I am BEYOND thrilled to be designing along with the Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team. They are so talented, incredibly sweet and wonderful ladies. I am happy to say that I draw much inspiration from each of them and consider them dear friends!

For this sketch challenge there is a twist and that twist is to use BUTTONS somewhere on your project. Sticking with my 'Back to School' theme, I made an altered notebook for my daughter. This will be her 'School Journal' where she can practice her spelling words, write stories, draw pictures, etc.

Here is the beautiful sketch we are working with for this challenge! Don't forget to use BUTTONS when you join in the fun!

Here are a couple of closeups so you can see the details a little better.

Aren't these apples buttons ADORABLE? I fell in love with them and yes, I even stamped one of them with a Simple Sallies face.

I used the Snow Cuties Face for the girl's darling face, I used Simple Sallies for the face on the one little apple and I used the Extra Small Polka Dots for the polka dot print on my girl's shirt (I heat embossed it). All of these beautiful stamps are in the Peachy Keen store.

I also used Emma's My Teacher Rocks! stamp set for both the little note in the girl's hand as well as the homework list on the chalk board. And last, but not least I used the beautiful Woodgrain background stamp from Market Street Stamps for the wood grain on the chalkboard. All of these stamps are manufactured by Peachy Keen Stamps and they are the best quality! I LOVE them!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!!! I appreciate all of you taking the time to support and encourage me. I hope that I do a little of the same in return. Have a wonderful day! HUGS- Glora

Guest Designer over at September Ninth

***If you are looking for the My Creative Time - July Release - Day 3 project please click HERE or scroll down***

Hello, everyone, I'm beyond thrilled to have been asked by Ruthie at September Ninth to be a guest designer on her blog today. I have been a fan of Ruthie's ever since she started as a Design Team member for Peachy Keen Stamps and now I'm lucky to be on the My Creative Time Design Team with her. She has a perfect eye for color and pattern combinations and makes the most beautiful banners I've ever seen! I love everything she makes but she is, in my opinion, the Banner Queen! I think I might be crazy to post a banner on the Banner Queen's blog, but she was the one who has inspired me to start making a few banners, so I felt it was only appropriate. This is a mini-banner that I made and is hanging on the door of our family room.

I'm going to show you a few more pictures just so that you can see the details better.

I'd like to thank RUTHIE so much for letting me have the opportunity to be a guest designer on her blog. Hugs- Glora
