Monday Madness... Imagine That - Shaped Card

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today is another Monday Madness... Imagine That over at My Creative Time. We are all making shaped cards using our Imagine or patterned paper. I'm using Emma's stamp set called My One and Only. I thought that this 'eternal love' sentiment might look kind of fun done up with an aged look. This isn't my normal style, but I think it is good to try new things.

This heart cut is from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Since I don't have an Imagine I used some patterned paper from PaperTrey Ink. The paper is usually red and white and I inked it up with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The swirly heart layer and banner were cut in white paper and inked up with two shades of distress ink. I dotted around the edges of my heart and added some red rhinestones. And of course the sentiment and banner are from Emma's My One and Only stamp set.

Make sure you drop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the design team have in store for you! Hugs- Glora

Valentine's Day Decorations featuring Peachy Keen Stamps

Hello sweet Peachy Keen fans today I have posted this fun project over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. I made these cute little dangling decorations, they are very simple to make and are about 2 feet long. I made 3 different ones to use as Valentine's Day decorations.

Are you interested in making some of these? Well here is what I used to make them. First, I cut this heart from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge at 5". I cut 3 white scalloped hearts and 6 pink hearts so that I could make them double sided. They swirl around a little and I wanted both sides to be equally as cute. For the adorable faces I used some of the beautiful 4" face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. Yes that is right 4" faces. I'm completely in love with them and my mind has been swimming with all the possibilities. I used the faces called, PKK-03 4" Happy Lash Simple Smile, PKK-05 4" Happy Lashes - Open Mouth and PKK-06 4" Happy Lash Mouth Open w/ Tongue Out.

Here is a little closer look at the face with the tongue out:

For the swirl piece all I did was take a spiral shape from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge. Here is a picture of what it looks like when it is first cut out:

I cut it at 4 1/2" but you could cut it smaller or larger depending on how long you want yours to be. I punched a hole in the piece at the very center and one at the end of the spiral. Then I put some twine through the holes and tied a knot to make some little loops. The top twine loop so that I can hang my decoration up and the bottom one is to attach the dangling double sided hearts. The weight of the heart on the middle part pulls the spiral down and makes a long whimsical decoration.

I think I will be making some of these for each holiday using these awesome 4" faces. I'm thinking shamrocks, easter eggs, ghosts, snowflakes, the possibilities are endless...

I also want to show you a close up of each heart real quick because I think these faces make the hearts look SO sweet! Just imagine how cute these hearts would look as a 5" shaped card for Valentine's Day.

For this one I used: PKK-06 4" Happy Lash Mouth Open w/ Tongue Out

And this one has PKK-05 4" Happy Lashes - Open Mouth

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you were inspired to try something fun and different. Have a super Peachy day! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam #8

Hello sweet crafty friends. Today is the first Wednesday of September, which means it is time for another Simply Crafts with my amazing and talented friend Pam of Simply-Pam. If you are new to this, Pam and I take turns choosing a cut from a Cricut cartridge and make something with it. This month it was my turn to choose and I chose the gumball machine from the Sweethearts cartridge.

I made this card for my husband, in fact I have wanted to make it for him since I got the cartridge but never got around to it. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. To make a long story short, he hid my engagement ring inside a gumball machine (in his personal office) over 10 years ago. Little did he know that I was a sucker for gumball machines. Well I got the ring, he proposed and everytime I see a gumball machine I think of him 'my sweet love!'

For my card, I used twice as many gumballs to make it look more full, half of them are colored cardstock and the other half were cut on white cardstock and I colored them in with my Copics. I also added a piece of acetate to the front of the gumball machine to make it look more realistic.

Well, I hope that you make sure to drop by Pam's blog and see what awesome project she came up with using this cut. I know it will be AMAZING. Click HERE to go to Pam's blog.

Whimsical Wednesday - Fun with Folds

Hello and welcome to the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #16. Our challenge today is to have "Fun With Folds." The challenge is to make anything other than a standard shape or A2 style card. For example you could make an easel, gatefold, waterfall card, etc. I hope you will get a chance to join us in the fun.

For my card I made my first ever easel card. It is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and was so fun to make. I love the way it looks in the easel position and can definitely see myself making more of these.

Wedding cards are always nice to have on hand and I'm loving this style of card.

I hope you will drop by the Whimsical Wednesday blog and check out what the other talented Design Team ladies have in store for you. Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Throwback Thursday and EXCITING News!

First of all I have to share my SUPER exciting news! I've known for almost a week, but Emma (My Creative Time) decided to do a design team and she chose me along with 7 other talented crafters. Can I just say that the fact that she chose me has put me on cloud 9. She is one of the sweetest crafters around. She was the second 'follower' of my blog (my sweet husband was the first). She is amazingly talented and so positive and encouraging towards other crafters. Oh and did I mention that she just came out with some super adorable sentiment stamps! This is going to be an awesome team to be on. I can't wait for my 3 month adventure! THANKS SO much to Miss EMMA!!!!

Every other Thursday Emma does a challenge on her blog called Throwback Thursday. This week we could use whichever cartridge we wanted but needed to incorporate a heart. Here is my kitty valentine that I made yesterday:

I had already made this little puppy valentine card last Sunday. I wanted to share it now because I think they make a super cute set. This dog and cat come from the Sweethearts cartridge, and in my opinion, they are not all that cute with the faces they come with, but add a Peachy Keen Stamps face and they are SERIOUSLY about the CUTEST things on earth!

Oh, I love Valentine's Day. I'm looking forward to making lots of other cute Valentines. How about all of you?

The cat and the dog both have a bobble head thanks to an Action Wobble. Here is yet another short video showing how fun these Action Wobbles are.

Wedding Bells Are Ringing

I have several weddings to attend in the next little while, so I thought I should make some cards to have on hand. This one needed an Action Wobble so that the wedding bells could 'ring' back and forth. All it needs now is a little sound card so you can hear the bells ringing :).

Here is a short video of the bells ringing (powered by an Action Wobble).

Puppy Love

I made a scrapbook page! I can hardly believe it. I haven't taken the time to scrapbook for a while. The Peachy Keen "Let's Face It" challenge was to make a card or scrapbook page showcasing your muse (inspiration). I have inspiration that comes from all sorts of people, things and places. However, my greatest source of inspiration is my husband. He inspires me and he supports me in everything I do, and I love him SO much. So, this is for you, sweetheart!

I'm also entering this in the My Pink Stamper challenge. It was to make something cute. I think this turned out pretty cute.
