MCT February Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time February Release Blog Hop. If you came here from Courtney's blog then you are in the right spot, if not make sure you start at Emma's blog so you can get the whole hop in.

Today I am showing you the awesome Treat Slider Die!

This really makes for a cute little treat box. I wanted to make little windows for each of these boxes so you could see the treat that is inside them. For this first one I cut a heart shaped window out with the Stitched Heart Layering Dies and covered it with some vellum. I added the Teeny Tag and a sentiment from You Had Me at Chocolate. It is filled with Sweethearts. It is tied off with some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Next I made a St Patrick's Day one. For it I used the new shamrock die that comes in the You're My Pot of Gold set. The sentiments all come from an oldy but goody I Believe in Leprechauns. I filled it with chocolate gold foil coins (an idea borrowed from my fellow DT members) and I tied this one off with some more hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

And last but not least is an Easter one. For this one the sentiments and die I used to make my window come from the To My Best Peep stamp and die set. It is filled with jelly beans and tied off with some twine from The Twinery.

Here is a picture of this new set. PLEASE SEE NOTE BELOW THIS PICTURE:

Grandparents Day Card

***If you are looking for Angelica's Farewell Blog Hop click HERE or scroll down***

Hi, did you know that yesterday was Grandparents Day? It is not a very well known holiday, but my children have incredible grandparents and we wanted to let them know that we love and appreciate them. Today I want to share the Grandparents Day card that my kiddos helped me create. We made two card and they are ALMOST identical so I'm just going to post the one.

This is a larger card. It is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card. I just love their sweet handprints on the card and they had fun with it, well everyone except for the baby, he didn't like it too much. The color combination is a little unique but I had already stamped my baby's handprint and the girls chose out the colors they wanted so I just went with it. The hemp twine is from Liz's PaperLoft Boutique. And the sentiments all come from My Creative Time stamp sets. The 'XOXO' is from 100% Sweetness, the 'made with love...' is from You Had Me At Chocolate and the 'Happy Grandparents Day' is from the More Gift Card Sentiments.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Day. I was SUPER lucky and found a Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge on SALE at JoAnn's on Friday. I'm dying to try it out. So hopefully tomorrow I will have a card to share with you using it. Hugs- Glora

Also, don't forget that it is Scrappy Monday at My Creative Time.

Items Used:

My Creative Time stamps - 100% Sweetness
My Creative Time stamps - You Had Me At Chocolate

Cupid Brought Us Together...

I want to share one last Valentine card before February is over. I just finished this one up on Saturday so I will have to hold onto it until next year, but I HAD to make a card with this cute little cupid stamp I got from Peachy Keen Stamps. It is called Cupid's Sting.

I colored it with Copics, added gellyroll details and lots of glitter paint and stickles. I used a perfect sentiment from My Creative Time's You Had Me At Chocolate stamp set and I also used her Stitched Oval Die. I added a little bling and then I was done. Have a SUPER Monday! Hugs- Glora

Girly Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Candace's Girly Birthday Blog Hop. If you came here from the birthday girl's (Candace's) blog then you are in the right spot, if not make sure to head back to Candace's blog so you can wish her a happy birthday and get the whole GIRLY hop in.

I have two little girls, so I love making cute and girly things. My daughter's are currently in love with Rapunzel.  When I saw these cute Rapunzel stickerz by EAD Designs I fell in love. EAD Designs was kind enough to donate a set for me to try out for Candace's Birthday hop.

All of the pink and purple paper is full of glitter and my girls LOVE it. Now I just need to get a picture of them with Rapunzel the next time we are at Disneyland and my layout will be complete.

The darling 'happily ever after' sentiment is from My Creative Time's, You Had Me at Chocolate, stamp set. The beautiful blingy paper (which is SUPER glittery in person) is by Core'dinations and as mentioned above the stickers are by EAD Designs.

There are two awesome sponsors for the blog hop. The first is Pink By Design with a $15 gift certificate and the second is EAD Designs with a $20 gift certificate. Make sure to comment on every stop along the hop to be entered to win one of these prizes. You have until 11:59 CST on September 22nd to get your comments in.

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam #8

Hello sweet crafty friends. Today is the first Wednesday of September, which means it is time for another Simply Crafts with my amazing and talented friend Pam of Simply-Pam. If you are new to this, Pam and I take turns choosing a cut from a Cricut cartridge and make something with it. This month it was my turn to choose and I chose the gumball machine from the Sweethearts cartridge.

I made this card for my husband, in fact I have wanted to make it for him since I got the cartridge but never got around to it. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. To make a long story short, he hid my engagement ring inside a gumball machine (in his personal office) over 10 years ago. Little did he know that I was a sucker for gumball machines. Well I got the ring, he proposed and everytime I see a gumball machine I think of him 'my sweet love!'

For my card, I used twice as many gumballs to make it look more full, half of them are colored cardstock and the other half were cut on white cardstock and I colored them in with my Copics. I also added a piece of acetate to the front of the gumball machine to make it look more realistic.

Well, I hope that you make sure to drop by Pam's blog and see what awesome project she came up with using this cut. I know it will be AMAZING. Click HERE to go to Pam's blog.
