Bird Cage Thank You

Today my friend Pam and I are doing our monthly cut challenge. This month Pam chose the cut and it was the bird in the bird cage from the Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge.

I made mine into a shape card

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Sports Sentiments stamp set. The die it is stamped on is her Stitched Oval Die. I drew an eye and beak on the bird. I added a few accent marks, gem stones and a bow. Simple but fun and it will fit in a standard A2 sized envelope too.

I'm excited to see what Pam did with this cut. You can check it out too by going to her blog HERE. Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Fall Banner

If you are looking for my Whimsical Wednesday - No Tricks Just Treats post scroll down or click HERE.

I had made a mini banner for summer and when I took it down my oldest started to plead with me to make a fall one. Her requirements were leaves and the word fall. I had wanted to put the word 'autumn' but she insisted fall was better so fall it is. This is also my project for the current Let's Face It Friday Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is the whole banner strung together with raffia. I think raffia is such a fun fall look.

This is a close up of the first girly leaf:

I inked all of the leaves and added a few doodle dots. The leaves come from the Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge and are cut at 5". The darling face is from the Princess Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is a closeup of one of the fall letters:

The letter is cut from the Gypsy Font cartridge and is cut at 1.5" (base and shadow layers).

Here is the cute little boy leaf:

The face for this one is from the Boy Mates stamp set by Peachy Keen stamps.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little fall banner. Have a terrific night friends! Hugs- Glora

LINK UP and Day 2 of My Guest Designer Week over at Everyday Cricut

Once again, I just wanted to share my projects from my guest designer week over at Everyday Cricut ! Wow what an awesome opportunity that was. I'm truly blessed. If you've seen this great, if not I hope you enjoy it.

I wanted you all to have a chance to link up anything you've made for fall if you would like. I also want to remind you that the Whimsical Wednesday Halloween Blog Hop is coming up Friday night, October 7th at 7:00 pm EST.  Okay, I think that is it, the fall project link up will be at the bottom of this post. And now onto the repeat post....

Today I'm back with a fall gift bag.

This cute bag is from the Plantin' Schoolbook Cricut cartridge that came with my Expression. The beautiful fall leaf is from the Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge.

The awesome stitched circle and scallop at the top of the bag are a die set from My Creative Time (Scallop and Stitched Circle Die set). The beautiful fall sentiment inside the stitched circle comes from the All Around Halloween stamp set by My Creative Time. The leaf in the very middle is just a punch I have had around for a long time.

For the pattern on the leaf and the bag I used a beautiful background stamp by Market Street Stamps. The background stamp is called Cane. I stamped the bag (before assembling) and the leaf with the background stamp (using Versamark Ink). Then I heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I always love the shine and texture this can add to a project.

I hand stitched and gathered together some cream ribbon and then attached it with some adhesive along the inside at the top just to dress it up a bit. Then last of all I finished it off with just a little bit of rafia for that final fall touch.

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam

Hello sweet friends! Today is the start of a fun challenge between me and my sweet crafty friend Pam at Simply-Pam. The first Wednesday of each month we are going to challenge each other to make something using a specific cut from a certain cartridge. This fun challenge was Pam's idea and so she chose the cut for this month. The cut is the clothes line from the Straight from the Nest cartridge.

I had to add my own little touch to the clothing by adding a Mickey icon. I also wanted the clothes line to go all the way across and so I changed that a little as well.

The sentiment for my card is from the My Creative Time - Mom You ROCK stamp set. I must admit that doing laundry isn't my favorite part of being a mom but those sweet little girl hugs and kisses make it all worth it. They are the best!

I can't wait to see what the very talented Pam has come up with for our challenge. I hope you will check it out. Pam is SUPER talented and makes BEAUTIFUL cards and projects. Click HERE to go to Pam's blog you won't be disappointed.
