Everyday Cricut Day 3

This is a copy of my 3rd day project over on Everyday Cricut. If you have seen it wonderful, this is just a repeat, if not... ENJOY :).

Hello, wonderful Everyday Cricut Fans. This is Glora from Glora's Crafts and I am having so much fun being your Guest Designer this week. You are awesome fans. Thanks for your sweet comments. I've loved reading every single one.

Today I want to share a few things that I LOVE. First of all if you are not a Disney fan, I apologize in advance. I am a total Disney nut and love everything about it. I also love Core'dinations cardstock. I love the texture, the colors and the way it cuts in my Cricut! I am addicted to twine and ribbon of all sorts. The more the better. And I absolutely LOVE My Creative Time stamps and dies. True, I am on Emma's design team, but I would honestly LOVE these stamps and dies even if I weren't. Emma has an AMAZING eye for detail and design and I fell in love with her stamps the instant I saw the first sets that she was releasing.

And so with a little history of some things that I love, here is my card for today:

I cut Mickey in a chocolate brown instead of black because I wanted to keep with my fall colors. All of the paper is Core'dinations except for the card base and the peach (skin) color. Mickey is from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge and this beautiful leaf frame is cut at 5.25 inches from the Pooh and Friends cartridge. Even if you are not a Disney fan, these cartridges have a lot of extras images, frames, and such that you can make some beautiful projects with.

For the sentiment I used This and That by My Creative Time. I also used the Stitched Oval Die by My Creative Time. This die fits so many sentiments perfectly!!! I keep reaching for it over and over again.

I added a couple of brads and a little bit of twine along with a little doodling with my white gel pen and I was finished.

If you are a total Disney nut like me and would like to see a couple of my favorite Disney cards I will give you a link. I have a fun Mickey jack-o-lantern HERE and a cute Mickey Snowman HERE.

Mother's Day Card and Winners!

Alright, first I'll show you my Mother's Day card, but if you participated in my birthday celebration make sure to scroll down through the end of the post. I had to re-pick two of the winner's from my birthday week celebration because the prizes didn't get claimed. I also have the winner of the Thank You Emma - Surprise Birthday Hop.

This is the card that I made for my wonderful Mom. I also made a card for my sweet Mother-in-Law. I will probably post it tomorrow. This card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Pretty big but we all went in on her gifts together so I wanted to make sure that there was enough room for everyone to write her a special note. I think Emma's Mother's Day stamp set is perfect for all the women in your life. I loved this sentiment. It comes from the Mom You ROCK stamp set.

Alright now for the winners. Random.org helped me choose my new winning numbers

First was the sampler pack from The Twinery. The lucky winner is...

The second is a My Creative Time stamp set Wow! So Many Candles. The lucky winner is...

The birthday celebration rules were that you had to contact me if you won a prize. So if you two can contact me by sending an e-mail with you address to me(at)glorajean(dot)com that would be perfect.

And the winner of the Thank You Emma - Surprise Blog Hop prize (Mickey Celebrates embossing folder) is...

I have your e-mail address so I can send you an e-mail to get your information. But if you see this first and want to send me your address that would be great. My e-mail is: me(at)glorajean(dot)com

Items Used:

*Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge

PKS 36 - Rainy Day

Time for another Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. This is a sketch and color challenge (melon, daffodil & cobalt). I tried to think of things that might naturally be these colors and this is what I came up with. You can always click on the picture if there are certain details you would like to see better.

Well this is my cute little ducky girl in her rain boots and splashing in a rain puddle. The scallops are the storm clouds. I chalked them with a gray edge (it doesn't show up very well in the picture). The blue banner brings a little sunshine. Thanks for looking. I had a lot of fun with this and I really like how it turned out. Below is the sketch for this challenge. You should come and join in the fun. Click the link at the top of the page if you would like to play along.

Have an UDDER-ly marvelous April Fools

I thought I would post the cow shape card I made for my sister-in-law's birthday. She LOVES COWS!!! Especially the black and white ones. We found her some cute (in our opinion) cow slippers for her birthday so a cow card to go with it was tres neccessaire!

This card was made using my Gypsy and my Cricut. I used the Animal Kingdom Cricut Cartridge - for the cow, and Pooh and Friends - for the cute present. Last of all I added a little outlining, some black brads for the eyes and a prima flower with a rhinestone center.
