Guest Designing over at Liz's Paper Loft

Hi friends, today I'm SO happy to be guest designing for Liz at Liz's Paper Loft. I have admired Liz's work for A LONG time and I have also been lucky enough to work with her on the My Creative Time Design Team! She is SO sweet and super talented. I'm certain she can hardly wait to start posting on her own blog again and I can't wait to see what creative projects she has dreamed up while recovering.

Today I wanted to share a card that I made for my daughter's dance teacher. They have just finished their dance year and dance recital and I wanted to make sure to tell her thank you.

I hope you like it, I was going for a classic ballet kind of look with just black, white and pink. The frame shape and the ballet slippers are from the Shall We Dance Cricut cartridge. The beautiful flowers were made using My Creative Time's Flower Petal dies. I also used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval die and stamped a sentiment from the Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set. I added some sweet little pink buttons and some faux stitching with my gel pen. That pretty background paper is by Doodlebug Design and is called Petite Prints.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Liz has some exciting news to share with you, but not quite yet. However, in the meantime, while she's recovering, she is reading every comment! Not only is she reading them, she's counting them, because at the end of all this, she will have two announcements! The first will be a winner of some exciting BLOG CANDY! The second, it's a big one...and no, she's not coming out with stamps...you just have to wait and see!

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

3D and Wobble Wednesday AND A WINNER!

Hello crafty friends. Today I have combined two projects into one. It is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and it is also Wobble Wednesday on the Wobble Wednesday Blog. Since Teacher Appreciation Day/Week is coming up soon I thought I would try to make a project for that.

This is just a little container that we will put some yummy treats in, it is from the Spring Holiday Cards Cricut cartridge.

My little cheerleader is from the Recess Cricut Lite cartridge. She is also on an Action Wobble which you can buy at Peachy Keen Stamps or at the Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Shoppe. Her darling face is from the Wide Eyed Kids Face assortment. The sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time.

Make sure to stop by Emma's blog to see all the awesome 3D projects that she and the design team have made. And if you have some Action Wobbles and want to add one to a "school/teacher appreciation" themed project then come and join the Wobble Challenge. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Oh yes and the winner of the Echo Parks 6x6 paper pad from the My Creative Time Blog hop is...

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #14 - Color Inspiration

*** If you are looking for the My Creative Time April Release Blog Hop scroll down or click HERE ***

Hello Peachy Keen fans and welcome to another Color Inspiration Challenge. Isn't this a fun and bright color combination? The brightly colored balloons are what started me off on my take on this challenge.

I always need birthday cards and I wanted another excuse to use the new Here Kitty Kitty face stamps so this is what I came up with.

I used the April SKOTM for the sentiment. I did LOTS of inking on EVERYTHING and added lots of little faux stitching. I accented the hat with a little pearl and the balloons with some twine strings.

I hope you are having a terrific day and I hope you will be able to come and play in the Color Inspiration Challenge with us. Make sure to check out the PKS Challenge blog so you can see what everyone came up with. These ladies are AMAZING! Hugs- Glora

MCT April Release Blog Hop

Hello there My Creative Time friends and welcome to the April stamp and die release. If you came here from Cindy's blog you are in the right place, if not make sure that you start back at Emma's blog so you can get the whole blog hop in.

For my project today I made gift wrap for a present. I used 3 items from Emma's newest release. The background flowers that I stamped my wrapping paper with is from the Bloom Where You are Planted stamp set. The beautiful 'Happy Birthday' sentiment comes for the Floral Sentiments stamp set (I just stamped Happy and Birthday separately so they would fit on my tag). I also used both of the Rolled Flower Dies to make my flower.

I have picked up a lot of fun new tips and ideas for these flowers this week from Emma and the rest of the team. For this flower I used 2 of each die cut to make my flower. I did a very loose flower (almost flat), one slightly tighter (but still fairly flat), one almost normal and one super tight and layered them all inside each other. It turns out to be a pretty good sized flower (about 2 1/2" instead of the 1 1/4" ones that I made yesterday). I think it makes the perfect little accent for a present.

Here you can see the dimension just a little bit better.

Here is what I used from the new release:

MCT April Release Sneak Peek Day 3

Hi, My Creative Time friends and welcome to day 3 of Emma's new release. Today we are featuring an awesome set of sentiments and a beautiful set of dies to make rolled flowers out of. These flowers are BEAUTIFUL and I really LOVE these sentiments too!

I made a little gift bag and added a sentiment from the new Floral Sentiments set. These sentiments have a really pretty font and a they are a great size too. I also made one of each type of flower from the Flower Dies.

I used some silver leaves that came with some sequin flowers I bought a long time ago and I added some Stickles to the edges of the flowers. They are just too pretty and sparkly in person. I think these dies will be getting A LOT of use around here!

MCT April Release Sneak Peek Day 2

Hello My Creative Time friends and welcome to day 2 of Emma's new release. I am having TOO much fun using this new release. Today we are featuring an awesome large stamp set with beautiful floral images and sentiments. I got a little carried away and made a few different cards to have on hand. This set is called Bloom Where You are Planted.

This sweet bunch of sunflowers just made me smile when I saw them. I could NOT resist coloring them up! I think it will make a sweet thank you card to have on hand.

This one was made using both of the pretty rose images and a perfectly coordinated sentiment.

And here is the last one that I made.

This little flower reminded me of one of the flowers on Alice in Wonderland. I just had to add a sweet little Peachy Keen Face to it (Simple Sallies - the smallest size in the assortment pack). I love how the flower petals look like her hair and the leaves look like her little hands.

MCT April Release Sneak Peek Day 1

Hello My Creative Time friends and welcome to day 1 of a new release. This release is AWESOME! You are in for a real treat. Today we are featuring two different stamp sets that coordinate with each other and with the Scalloped and Stitched Circle Dies too. The sets are called All Around Everything and All Around Everything Accessories. I love the possibilities with this set and how you can mix and match to your hearts desire. There are SO many options.

I have a couple of projects for you today. First of all I have a gift card holder for my daughter's teacher during teacher appreciation week.

Isn't that darling apple tree too cute (it is from the All Around Everything Accessories set)! The perfect Many Thanks sentiment is from the All Around Everything stamp set. I also used Emma's Scallop and Stitched Circle Die, her Embossed Gift Card Holder Die and the sentiment at the top is from the More Gift Card Sentiments stamp set.

My second project is for my children. The oldest is at the age of losing teeth so when I saw this tooth image and sentiment I thought I would make something that could be used over and over for the tooth fairy. I cut the pouch out of felt using Emma's Embossed Gift Card Holder and then I hand stitched it together using some pretty twine.

I stamped the sentiment and the tooth on some white cotton fabric that I mounted onto some sturdier white felt. The grey piece is also felt that was cut out using Emma's Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies.

Wishing Your Day is Colorful, Bright and Cheerful

Hi friends, I just wanted to share the Easter spinner card that I made during my Everyday Cricut guest designer week!

For a spinner card you basically turn the little notch at the bottom and change it to the next image. Here is the first face for my bunny spinner card:

The face here is from a stamp set called Wide Eyed Kids by Peachy Keen Stamps and the perfect sentiment is from My Creative Time's Happy Hunting stamp set.

When  you turn the little knob at the bottom this is the second face you will see:

This beautiful polka dot paper is from Doodlebug Design and is called Petite Prints. I had a super sweet crafty friend send this to me and I'm totally in love with it. If you love polka dots you will have to look into this paper.

When  you turn the knob the final time this is what you will see:

The face stamps I used for the last two are called Happy Lashes by Peachy Keen Stamps. And I just love how Emma's Happy Hunting sentiment ties it all together.

This is a standard A2 sized card meaning 4.25" x 5.5". The bunny is from the Simply Charmed cartridge, and the card base is from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. I also got the grass and eggs from the Everyday Paper Doll Cricut cartridge. I inked ALL of the pieces with similar colors as the paper and did lots of stitching with my Sakura Gellyroll pen. I tied a couple of twine bows with twine I got from a company called Trendy Twine and that was it.

It's Time to Get Better!

I just LOVE this new Peachy Keen Stamps April 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month set. I just had to share another card I made with it. This is a card that is going to a friend that recently had surgery. I hope it puts a smile on her face.

The sentiments on this set are FANTASTIC. There are sentiments ranging from birthday, anniversary, get better soon, to miscellaneous. It is so versatile and super cute. I used the fun What Time is It? background stamp again too. Sorry about the glare on her one eye. She has sparkly Stickle eyeshadow and glossy accent eyes so this was as good as the picture got.

Have a terrific day and make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see what some more of the design team members made with these beautiful stamps! Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Stamps April Stamp of the Month Sneak Peek

Hello Peachy friends. We are starting sneak peeks on yet another AWESOME stamp of the month set by Peachy Keen Stamps. There are SO many possibilities with this set and I can't wait for you to see everything everyone on the design team has made. Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps blog for different sneaks Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

I made a birthday card for my nephew. I think he is going to LOVE this! It is a tall card to fit inside a business size envelope.

Isn't that grandfather clock image AMAZING? Not to mention the beautiful sentiments. And did you notice that beautiful number patterned paper well that is a new background stamp called What Time is It? that is going to be available too. Isn't it perfect? I'm SO in love with it. I stamped my clock on kraft and then colored it with Copics. I put some acetate on the parts of the clock that would be glass. It love how the acetate looks in person.

My DT sister Heather did a card with this same grandfather clock image and she put a banner on the top and the bottom  just like I did (I'm not sure when she will be posting hers but make sure to look for it, it is awesome). I did NOT copy her on purpose in fact I had completely forgotten that she had done it until I looked at her card again, OOPS, sorry Heather, it was a great idea and I'm happy to give you the credit of thinking of putting the banners that way first.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see what the other Design Team members have for you to look at. You are going to LOVE it!!!! Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora
