April Showers Bring...

I wanted to share a mini sized card (3"x4") that I made to fit a gift card for Easter inside.

I made this up with the color/photo challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps in mind. The colors and picture just reminded me of spring in its sweet subtle pastel colors. What pretty inspiration:

This is what I came up with. A cute little chickie with her umbrella.

I used the following items to make this: Peachy Keen Stamps - CottageCutz Shower Peepers Dies and stamps. I also used the PK-107 Cloudy Day stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps. For the card base I made a shape card out of My Creative Time's Stitched 3x4 Journal Die and I also used the Stitched Grass Die as well.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

Wishing You Brighter Days

This card came together in minutes. I love that about Emma's products. I needed a quick card to put a gift card in for a friend going through some rough times. I kept it plan and SIMPLE. No frills at all but they loved it!

Here is what it looked like when it was opened up. The only thing that ended up different was that I added a little note for them.

Like I said simple and easy but it served its purpose beautifully.

I used Emma's Surprise Pop Out Card along with the Stitched Gift Card Pocket die and last of all the sentiment came from Treasured Moments

Plane and Simple Thank You!

I just LOVE My Creative Time products. They carry such a PUNCH! Here is a thank you card that I made using only My Creative Time products.

Isn't that paper airplane sweet? I love it.

I used the following My Creative Time items: Fly Away with Me Sentiments (for the Thank You!), Plane and Simple (for the plane & simple...), Fun Stitched Edges (for the notebook edges), 4x4 Journal Die + More (for the card base, red piece, blue piece and itty bitty hearts and stars), and Fun Paper Airplane Die (for the airplane die and the stamped stitching).

I hope you enjoyed my card. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Chickie Easter Tags

The new March 2014 Stamp Kit of the Month at Peachy Keen Stamps is SO CUTE!!! I can not get enough of it! I just HAD to color up these ADORABLE little chickies!

Aren't they the cutest?! All sweet and fluffy! Gotta love them! I made up some cute little Easter tags using the March 2014 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps and the Just Tags Dies by My Creative Time. I also added some May Arts Chevron ribbon, hemp twine and other small embellishments.

I hope these chicks make you smile as much as they made me smile. I'm going to add this to the linky party going on HERE at Peachy Keen Stamps. If you bought any of the new stamps for the March release you can link up your projects HERE too.

Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam

I've been meaning to share these little sunbeam postcards for a couple of months now. I am the Primary President at my church (which means I help with the children age 18 months to 11 years) and I like to give the littlest children, called Sunbeams, a happy greeting. The first few weeks in a larger setting can be a little scary for them so I like them to have something fun and just for them to take home. Last year I made some that looked like THIS (click HERE to see last years version).

This year I used my Silhouette Cameo to the max.

I designed these little 4x4 postcards and then printed them out. The outer edge was just SLIGHTLY bigger than 4x4 so I could cut them out using My Creative Time's 4x4 Journal Die + More. I gave the cards such a professional look.

The sweet sunshine and background are all files from Lettering Delights. Then I stamped on some cute Peachy Keen Faces. I had mostly boys in the class this year so I used the Boy Mates Face Assortment along with the Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! May the Lord watch over and bless you always! Hugs- Glora

P.S. Since it is Sunday and these cards were made for a religious purpose I thought I would share a link to my, I'm a Mormon page. You can find it HERE if you are interested.

Fun Note Cards

Here are some fun and simple note cards that I put together pretty quick. I got TONS of inspiration for using these new stamps and dies from Emma and her My Creative Time design team. I decided to join the current monochromatic challenge going on at My Creative Time with THIS card (the rest were just for fun):

I went a little crazy with this next one. I'm not sure I like it as well as the others but I figured I'd show it anyway. Plus I REALLY love the font for the Gracias. I think it is my current favorite font that Emma has been using!

And how about one going a different direction?

These cards took very little time and I was able to mix and match the pieces from all of them to make the cards in a short amount of time. All of these cards use the new Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments and the Stitched Chevy Dies from My Creative Time's February release. However, the last card features a unique item from the others (a heart). This heart die is from the Stitched Heart Layering Dies.

I hope you have a terrific weekend! Hugs- Glora

Happy Easter

I love this darling sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I'm getting close to the deadline on this one but that is how my life goes sometimes.

I flipped the sketch on its side but kept everything else pretty close to the original.

I used several fun products on this cutie! The bunny is a Peachy Keen CottageCutz Die called Crunchin' Carrot Bunny. I've had it for a while and can't believe I haven't used it before. It is SUCH a cutie patootie bunny. I also used some My Creative Time products. The grass is the Stitched Grass Die (I'm SO glad to have that die - I was BEGGING Emma to make one for several MONTHS - thanks for giving in Emma). The awesome little egg dies and super cute sentiment are from the Hello Chickie stamp and die set by My Creative Time and the blue piece was cut using My Creative Time's Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. The papers are Core'dinations and Hootenanny by My Minds Eye.

I also wanted to link this cutie up to My Crafts Spots Cute Critter challenge because this bunny is definitely a cute critter if there ever was one. I hope you have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Guest Designer at My Craft Spot - Critter Cards

Happy Friday! I was SO happy to have been invited to guest design for Kimberly at My Craft Spot today. I have followed Kimberly's blog for a long time and learned lots of awesome crafty tips from her. She sells stamps and dies but she also sells beautiful crinkle ribbon, baker's twine, sequins, etc. in her My Craft Spot Shop. You should definitely check her shop out if you haven't already.

I love cute little critters and punny sentiments and was excited to showcase a couple of creations using her Cute Critters stamp set. Both of these are A2 size cards (4.25" by 5.50"). I wanted them to coordinate so I used some of the same products on both of them. The patterned paper on both is from American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad. I also used my corner rounder for the layered piece on each one of these and my Spellbinders Classic Ovals Die set for the oval background behind each critter.

For my ducky card I used the darling 'You QUACK me up!' sentiment from My Craft Spot's Cute Critters set. The adorable duck is a Peachy Keen CottageCutz set called Duck with Egg 4x4. I used some pretty crinkle ribbon and Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine.

To give my card a finished look I inked the edges, added Glossy Accents to the duck's eyes and chalk to her cheeks. I also used my Fine point Sharpie pen to make some accent dots.

Now for my second card:

Isn't that skunk SO sweet? I think this little cutie would brighten anyone's day. The skunk is another Peachy Keen Cottage Cutz die called Stinky Skunk 4x4. I thought she was perfect to go with this cute sentiment from the Cute Critters stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on the My Craft Spot's Ribbon Banners Wavy Die.

I did more inking, chalking, and added Glossy Accents to her eyes. I also added some Prima Flowers. I added adhesive pearls to the middles and drew some stems and leaves onto them so it could be a little bouquet of flowers. I also added more accent dots with my fine point Sharpie pen.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Thanks again to Kimberly for having me guest design for her. It was a lot of fun. Kimberly was also super sweet and has offered to let me give a stamp set away to one of my lucky followers. All you need to do is leave a comment here on my blog and let me know which My Craft Spot stamp set is your favorite. You can check out her stamps HERE

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora
