Welcome Baby Banner

If you are looking for the My Creative Time June Release Blog Hop make sure to scroll down to the next post.

Hi sweet Peachy Keen Fans. Today is my day to post on the Peachy Keen Blog and I have a fun little 'welcome home baby' door sized banner to share with you.

Here is the whole banner so you can get an idea of how it looks all together.

And here is a closer shot:

All of the light blue paper was stamped with a background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps called Grampa's Pajamas. I think it looks so sweet on here. The banner pieces are cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and the letters are cut from the Pooh Font Cricut cartridge. I added eyelets and inking to each banner piece. I also added some faux stitching around each letter.

I love how sweet these little babies turned out with their Peachy faces, so I have a closeup of each baby:

The babies are cut from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge and their sweet faces are from the Just Baby Faces Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I chalked the edges and cheeks and added some Glossy Accents to the eyes. The banner is connected with some tricolor Trendy Twine.

I hope you enjoyed this banner and I hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time's October Stamp release BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the October My Creative Time Stamp Release Blog Hop! If you came here via the amazing Katie you are in the right spot, if not make sure you go to Emma's blog and get the whole hop in because you aren't going to want to miss a chance of winning some of these darling stamps.

For my project I'm showcasing the All Around Accessories set. I also used the XL Label Border stamps being released today and the XL Label Die. For my project I made another vertical banner. Hey, what can I say I'm getting ahead on my holiday decorating ;).

Here it is:

Here is a close up of the darling Santa suit, I used Fun Flock for the red and the white parts so that it is really soft and fuzzy. I love the way it feels, unfortunately a tiny bit of the red got on some of the white (even though I did them at separate times) but I still like it:

I also added Fun Flock to the Ho Ho Ho (don't you just want to reach through the screen and touch it - LOL)...

Well, that's it for my project for today. Short and sweet so you can get on your way hopping along :).

Let's Face It Friday - Organize It

I absolutely LOVE to see organizational ideas and if you are like me and want to see some AMAZING and super cute ideas go and check out the design team projects and submissions for the Let's Face It Friday challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

For my project I wanted to make something fun and interactive for my daughter to keep up on her 'school' skills in the summer. She LOVES this so I think it will help out a lot. Last year we didn't use any charts but we did find out that if we did her reading and stuff first thing in the morning then we would remember to get it done. Otherwise the day would get busy with fun summer activities and this summer learning would get pushed aside. This chart should help too since each day each item will start up in the 'TO DO' box and then she can move them down to the 'COMPLETED' box as she finishes up each item. This chart is approximately 6" x 11"

(If you would like to see the details closer you can always click on the photo).

I made the background using Microsoft Excel. I'm an accountant so I am a bit of a spreadsheet nerd. Then I printed my spreadsheet on some super cute paper from DCWV's Mod-Retro Stack. I stamped a darling little heart from Emma's stamp set My One and Only in the corner. I cut the pieces for my project from various cartridges at about 2" each.

This cute little book is from the Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge. I stamped it with a My Creative Time stamp from the set called 'My Teacher Rocks,' and I also used the adorable Peachy Keen stamp set called 'Happy Lashes'.

This cute little pencil came from the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge. I stamped his cute face with a Simple Simon face stamp by PKS.

I made the little chalkboard myself. I used the super cute Woodgrain background stamp by Market Street Stamps. For the cute face I white embossed a darling Simple Sally face and for the numbers I welded them together using my Gypsy and the Pooh Font cartridge.

And for this cute little kitty, I used Create-a-Critter for the cat and Pooh Font for the letters. The adorable face is a Critter face stamp from Peachy Keen stamps.

I laminated everything so they will SURVIVE the summer. I have my own personal laminator that I use for lots of little things for my children. I seriously LOVE it. Then I attached everything with Velcro.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project today. Hugs- Glora

Teacher Door and Blog Hop WINNER

Hi, I wanted to share with you real quick the door I decorated for Teacher's Appreciation week. My daughter's teacher's door was already being decorated by someone else so they asked me to do a fairly 'generic' door for some of the classroom aids. It is pretty simple but I think they really liked it.

And the WINNER of the Livestrong Blog Hop is...

Congratulations Georgiana. I will send you an e-mail to get you address. If you see this first feel free to send me an e-mail to: me(at)glorajean(dot)com.

Sweet Dreams

I had made up some baby cards to have on hand. It seems like I always need to have a few sitting around so I'm not trying to throw something together at the last minute.

Here is the same card, but in colors for a boy...

I really love this cute little sleeping baby Pooh Bear. I do wish that I had bought a stamp that says congratulations rather than hand writing it. I think that this image would make a super cute shape card. I think I will do that one of these days. I will post it when I do. The sleeping Pooh Bear comes from the Winnie the Pooh Font Cricut cartridge.
