Peachy Keen Challenge #5

Today is the start of another Peachy Keen Challenge. We are making 3D projects that have to do with the weather (no cards and no layouts).

I made a sweet little spring gift box.

I used the Spring Holiday Cards Cricut cartridge for the box. I just made the box as large as I could on my Gypsy. It turned out to be a very nice size. The scallop and circle are from the Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge. And this adorable little spring chicken and umbrella are from a set called Shower Peepers. This is one of those darling stamp/ die combos that Peachy Keen Stamps and Cottage Cutz make together. This little chickie was just too cute not to make up for the weather theme. 

I tried something new for me, I cut everything on white cardstock and colored her with Copics and some chalk. My friends Lorie and Janice do this A LOT and I wanted to give it a try. I really love the extra depth and dimension it adds to the dies, I will definitely be trying this again.

MCT February Release Sneak Peek Day #1

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today Emma and some of the design team members are showing sneak peeks at a darling set called Happy Hunting. This set has some darling images and sentiments. I had a lot of fun making a coordinating card and envelope, a sweet crafting friend of mine, Crafts Manda from AT Home Ink always makes coordinating cards and envelopes so this project is very much inspired by her. Anyway, I hope you like it.

The card is approximately 4x4" and I wanted it to look like it matched/coordinated with the little one that fits on the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies. So yes, this Happy Hunting stamp set comes with the darling little bunny and round sentiment that fits on the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die and it also comes with this adorable matching and larger sized bunny, plus some bigger sentiments and such as well. Isn't this bunny a cutie? The sentiment is normally straight but I just curved the sentiment on my stamping block to make it go around in a circle.

PKS - Lady Bug Thank You!

Today, I have my card for the Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge #53. This challenge had an adorable sketch and a little twist to the challenge. We had to use some sort of a sponging techinque. I had a lot of fun with this challenge. I used the sponging technique on both the red dot background and the red part of the lady bug. Then I used a sponge and some ink to ink around the edges of the gray pieces.

This sketch was too cute. I'm certain I will be using it again. The cute lady bug and the thank you come on the same set Peachy Keen stamp set. They are called Lady Bug Thank You. The cute dotted background is one of my favorite background stamps by Market Street Stamps called Loopy Loo Polkas.

NSD Challenge #12 "Critter-licious"

This challenge is to make a scrapbook page, card, or other project using an animal or critter.

The circle and scalloped circle are from Mini Monograms. The cute little penguin didn't photograph very well because of the sparkle, but he is super cute. He is in a set of "Sparkler" stickers from SEI. These stickers are fun, they go on a lot like a rub on. You cut out the sticker you want, remove the backing, and then rub the front layer that is on top of the sticker. Then you gently remove the front plastic and voila a cute little penguin.

NSD Challenge #10 "May Day"

This challenge was to make something with flowers or something springy. I tried to incorporate both.

This is a candy bar wrapped with floral scrapbook paper. I stamped a butterfly on a circle cut from Mini Monograms along with a scallop circle from mini monograms. I tied ribbon around it and added the thanks sentiment (it is from the Don Juan cartridge).

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 24

It's time for another Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge. I had a lot of fun with this one. Here is my take on challenge 24.

This is the sketch they gave us to work with, isn't it great?


The main stipulation for this challenge was that you need to use a Peachy Keen Stamp somewhere on your project.

Card recipe: The baby is from Everyday Paper Dolls. For the baby's face I used Peachy Keen stamps (the pacifier is from the Peachy Keen stamps set PK-573 Basic Paper Doll Faces and the eyes and nose are from the new Everyday Character Face Parts PK-493). I cut a headband from Everday Paper Dolls and added a Prima Flower and a rhinestone. The scallop circle is from Mini Monograms and the scallop edge is from Plantin Schoolbook. And all of the patterned paper is Provo Craft paper I have had in my stash for quite a while.

Halloween & Fall Birthday Cards

This card was for my sister-in-law's birthday. She loves candy corn and her birthday is in October. I thought it made a fun combination.

Here is a different color scheme for the same basic card.

This is a simple Halloween card that I made using some of my patterned paper scraps.

This was my attempt at a Mickey Pumpkin card. I think it still needs some tweeking, but that will probably have to wait until next year.

Challenge 14 Recipe

***Make a card

***Use the colors PINK AND BROWN as the main color scheme.

***Use a stamped image (preferably Peachy Keen Stamp - but not required)

***Incorporate a piece of ribbon

***Use some type of glitter (stickles are fine!)

This is my card. I love pink and brown together so this was a joy to make. Thanks for the challenge Peachy Keen, maybe I will get ahead on some of the cards I need to be making.
