Wishing You a Fall of Sweet Surprises

It is time for a new Designer Challenge at My Creative Time. The requirement for this challenge is to make something with a 'pumpkin' theme.

I went super simple with my card today but I really love how it turned out.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked it with some white chalk ink. I added a couple of pieces of grosgrain ribbon and then I added some My Creative Time products. I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies along with the All Around Halloween stamp set.

I hope you will take a look at the other projects on the My Creative Time blog and join in the challenge too. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Apple Lacing Card

Hello. Today I'm posting over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. Here is a fun project I made for my daughter. I used to have these lacing project kits when I was young. I loved them a lot. I haven't seen many of these kinds of things around so I decided to make my own for my children to use. I am going to laminate it so it will last longer too.

I think it turned out pretty fun. The apple is from Create a Critter and is cut at 3.75 inches, I stamped the Everyday Character Faces 1.75" size set for the face. Then I laced some ribbon through my apple. I hope you have a fantastic day! Hugs- Glora

Simple Card for a Special Occasion

This one pretty much speaks for itself. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. Then I used some seam binding ribbon and a gold flower from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. Have a beautiful Sunday! Hugs- Glora

You Hold the Key to My Heart

***If you are looking for my Peachy Keen Stamps & SVG Cutting Files Blog Hop post please click HERE or scroll down to the next post.***

Today is Thoughtful Thursday at My Creative Time. Make sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what everyone has been made.

I used the More of My Favorite Sayings stamp set by My Creative Time along with one of the key dies from the Chunky Jar Accessories stamp and die set. The scalloped heart and stripe cut is one of the pre-loaded images that came with my Silhouette Cameo. I just made a simple shape card out of the image. I really love how precise the Silhouette cut this image.

I did a little faux stitching and added a ribbon at the top and my little shape card was done. I hope you enjoyed it. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

PKS Connection Challenges... Shape Card

Well the new stamps are out and the release party on the PK Connection is over but the challenges are just beginning. Make sure to check them out for a chance to win some fun Peachy goodness.

I'm hosting one of the challenges this month and it is to make a shape card.

I made a milk carton shape card on my Cameo using an old Lettering Delights svg set called Oishii (it had 40 food items & was on clearance for $1). Oh course the darling cow is from the new May 2013 SKOTM that was just released for Peachy Keen Stamps. This cute sentiment is on the stamp kit of the month as well.

I added some stitching with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I added glossy accents to the eyes and a cute little grosgrain bow as well. I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you will join in on the challenge over on the PK Connection. Hugs- Glora

Happy Christmas Tag

I realized that I never posted my fun snowman tag that I made a few weeks ago so I thought I would share it now.

For this cutie I used the Happy Snowman with Label by Peachy Keen Stamps. For the snowflakes on the tag I used some stamps from the Snow Gifts stamp set. The tag itself is by My Creative Time and is called Tag Dies. I hope you enjoy this and have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

PKS Sketch Challenge

Well it is time for another awesome sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I think this is such a fun sketch:

As you can see I don't normally stray too far from a sketch - LOL.

I used the Halloween Holler Scarecrow Driver stamp set. I colored him up with my watercolor pencils. I've been having some fun with those lately. For the sentiment I used a die that comes from the Just Simply Live stamp and die set by My Creative Time. A few adhesive rhinestones and sheer polka dot ribbon and that was about it.

I hope you will join in this fun challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. I can't wait to see what you make.

Also did you notice the call for the 2013 Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team (click HERE for details)? This has been a dream come true experience for me. So many of you are huge Peachy Keen fans and do such amazing work with the stamps. I hope you will try out for the team and I wish you the BEST of LUCK!!!!

MCT August Release - Sneak Peek Day 3

Hello My Creative Time friends. Aren't you LOVING this release so far? WOW! I have loved seeing what everyone is making with these sets and I hope you are too.

Today we are showcasing a set called Just Simply Live. This set comes with an AMAZING Polaroid die and a fun little banner die too. I just LOVE it. I've only made a couple of projects with it so far and see myself using it over and over again.

I made two projects today, this first one is a magnet. I used some magnetic backed paper that I picked up a LONG time ago. This die cut it BEAUTIFULLY.

I thought this would be perfect to leave on the fridge and put little wallet sized pictures of my family in it. This picture is of my sister and me at Disneyland years ago (I'm the one on the right).

I also made a double sided Christmas ornament. This die is symmetrical so you can totally make it double sided so that both sides are equally pretty. For the sentiments on the ornament I used the new From our Family to Yours stamp set.

Here is the front side:

Here is the back side:

My Creative Time Gift Tag

Hello My Creative Time fans today I am guest designing for the super sweet and talented Miss Emma. I'm so glad that she has been able to have this time to be with her family while Baby Aaron has been recovering.

Today I have a tag to share with you. A friend of mine recently had surgery and I wanted to drop her off a loaf of banana bread with this tag attached to it.

I LOVE how well My Creative Time products work together. It made this tag a piece of cake to make and I think it will really brighten my friend's day. I used the Tag Dies for the tag, the flower image is from the Bloom Where You are Planted stamp set, and the sentiment is from Pain Pain Go Away.

I started with white cardstock and I colored the image with Copic Markers then I inked up the background with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. To finish it off I used some orange twill ribbon and just a bit of bakers twine.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will continue to keep Emma and her family in your thoughts and prayers! Hugs- Glora

MCT 3D Wednesday - REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today our 3D projects are all about being environmentally friendly. We are Reducing, Reusing and Recycling to make our projects. For my project I used a soup can that would have gone in the garbage and all of the paper was from scraps that could have been thrown away.

I decided to make a little 'Summer Can of Fun.' This can will have little pieces of paper inside with different activities that my girls and I can do this summer. Once homework and chores are done, they can pick a fun activity from the can. I think it will be a huge hit!

I used two My Creative Time stamp sets to make this. The first set is Have Fun in the Sun and the second was All Around Everything Accessories. I just randomly stamped sentiment on the red background paper and on the piece of white cardstock I did flip-flops in various colors. The end touch was some orange twill ribbon by Celebrate It.

Don't forget to stop by Emma's Blog to see a lot of awesome projects. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Challenge #5

Today is the start of another Peachy Keen Challenge. We are making 3D projects that have to do with the weather (no cards and no layouts).

I made a sweet little spring gift box.

I used the Spring Holiday Cards Cricut cartridge for the box. I just made the box as large as I could on my Gypsy. It turned out to be a very nice size. The scallop and circle are from the Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge. And this adorable little spring chicken and umbrella are from a set called Shower Peepers. This is one of those darling stamp/ die combos that Peachy Keen Stamps and Cottage Cutz make together. This little chickie was just too cute not to make up for the weather theme.

I tried something new for me, I cut everything on white cardstock and colored her with Copics and some chalk. My friends Lorie and Janice do this A LOT and I wanted to give it a try. I really love the extra depth and dimension it adds to the dies, I will definitely be trying this again.

I hope you will join in on this fun PKS challenge and I'm really looking forward to some of the sweet spring rain! Hugs- Glora

MCT January Stamp Release Sneak Peek #1

Hello My Creative Time fans and welcome to another sneak peek week. Today I am featuring one of Emma's newest stamp sets called Fast Pitch Rocks! It is an awesome set for the softball players in your life.

I made a gift card holder for the coach for the end of the season along with a card.

I made my own background paper for both of these using the softball sentiment off of the Fast Pitch Rocks stamp set. For the gift card I did use a sentiment from Emma's already release Sports Sentiments set as well as her Embossed Gift Card Holder, but everything else on the gift card and card come from the Fast Pitch Rocks stamp set. For the gift card I used a technique that I saw my DT sister Katie use on a basketball card. I was hoping to give the effect of her swinging at the ball.

Simple Gingerbread Christmas Card

A couple of weeks ago I helped some ladies at my church put this cute little Christmas card together. I cut pieces for about 60 of these. They are simple cards but it still took a bit of time. Everyone seemed to like them so it all worked out.

I used the ginger on the Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge. The darling face is called Happy Lashes by Peachy Keen Stamps and I used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval Die and sentiment from the Gift Card Sentiment stamp set for the Merry Christmas.

I hope you are having a terrific day! Take care! Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time 3-D Wednesday

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today at My Creative Time we have made 3D projects to share with you. For my project I made a little favor box.

These are really simple to make and just require a square piece of paper and something to score with. In the past I've only made these using 12x12 paper, however for this little one I used a 6x6 piece of paper. If you are interested in a video tutorial on the 12 x 12 size my friend Pam has a great one HERE.

I used Emma's All Around Birthday Time stamp set for the truffle and the round sentiment and I used her Scallop and Stitched Circle dies as well. The pretty ribbon is from the Celebrate It Sheer Creations ribbon line at Michaels. My friend Cassandra told me about it and I love it.

If you are interested in making these in different sizes I will give you some measurements below that might help you out (you can watch Pam's video HERE, if you don't already know how to make these, and then just adjust your paper size and score marks as stated below):

*The original 12x12 size is scored at 4" and 8" (when completed the base and each side panel is 4"x4")

*For a 6"x6" piece of paper score at 2" and 4" (when completed the base and each side panel is 2"x2")

*For a 7.5"x7.5" piece of paper score at 2.5" and 5" (when completed the base each side panel is 2.5"x 2.5")

*For a 9"x9" piece of paper score at 3" and 6" (when completed the base and each side panel is 3"x3")

And if you want to make a really tiny one...
take a 3"x3" piece of paper and score at 1" and 2" (when completed the base and each side panel is 1"x 1")

Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party

Hello sweet crafty friends. Today I wanted to show you the project that I made for the Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party. This block party is a big deal as they are celebrating one year of being in business and the winner of this fun block party is going to receive $600 of beautiful stamps. If you have some Market Street Stamps head on over for the full details and make sure you join in the fun for your chance to win. Click HERE to see the details.

I absolutely love Market Street Stamps and I'm especially addicted to their background stamps, I believe I'm only missing 3 of those beautiful backgrounds so far. I had just purchased the Sweet Spooks stamp set from their latest release and I had to use it for my project. I had this idea of making a vertical (image only) banner using the Sweet Spooks images and Market Street background stamps behind each piece. I really like how it turned out and I hope you enjoy it too.

Here is what the whole thing looks like just so you can get the general picture. Then I will zoom in on different pieces so you can see the detail better.

Here is a close up of the first three pieces:

I clear embossed all of the background orange oval pieces and I colored the images with Copics. Each image is also pop dotted up for some extra dimension.

Here is a close up of one of the bats:

I used the new Argyle background stamp for his background and some glossy accents on his eyes.

Here is a closeup of one of the ghosts:

I used the beautiful Cane background stamp for these.

And here is a closeup of a spider:

The background on this one is called Pretty Perfect Grid. I just turned it on an angle instead of straight up and down. The base of the spider is pop-dotted up. For this one I needed to stamp the spiders legs and its little string that it is hanging from. I had to stamp the legs and the string BEFORE I did the clear embossing. When you do this just make sure that you use an ink that embossing powder doesn't cling too and it works like a charm. I just used some Memento ink for the black and then I stamped the background in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see what you create for this fun Block Party too. Hugs- Glora

Whimsical Wednesday -"No Tricks Just Treats"

Today we have all made treat containers over at the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Blog. We hope you will make a fun Halloween treat container and join in the challenge.

This little milk carton was donated for our use from Regina at The Cutting Cafe and is called the Halloween and Fall Milk Carton Set. I don't have any other machine for electronic cuts other than my Cricut, but there was a pdf file and I just printed it off on patterned paper and cut it out by hand. It was super easy to cut out by hand, just straight lines and some scoring.

The little sucker and candy corn images are also from The Cutting Cafe, they are from a printable stamp set called Halloween Treats Just For You. The pretty crinkle ribbon is by Patsy at the Prairie Bird Boutique. The orange trick or treat circle is the Stitched Circle die by My Creative Time. The little starburst shape is a die from the Build a Banner Kit by My Creative Time and the sentiment is from the Mixed Holiday Sentiments by My Creative Time.

I hope you will stop by the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Blog and see what all the other ladies have in store for you. I also hope that you will participate in the challenge. Regina from The Cutting Cafe has sponsored this challenge with 3 cut files. Patsy from the Prairie Bird Boutique is also sponsoring this challenge with a bundle of shabby crinkle ribbon. I hope you get a chance to play along in the challenge. Hugs- Glora

Piano Birthday Card

I wanted to make a card for a very sweet friend. I work with her at church and she is simply amazing. I wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her. When I was thinking of a card for her I just wanted to do something that looked really classy. I hope I accomplished that plus she does play the piano so that helped with the inspiration as well.

All the cuts are from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. The beautiful music pattern is a stamp. It is called 'Vintage Music' by Market Street Stamps, and the oh so perfect birthday sentiment is from My Creative Time's 'Many Greetings' stamp set. I Inked the edges a little and added a few gold accents and I was done. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
