San Antonio Texas Layout

I wanted to join in the current challenge at My Creative Time which was to use pockets and envelopes on a layout. I went through some of my college choir tour pictures and found something fun to add a pocket and envelope to.

When we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in San Antonio Texas (just along the Riverwalk), I kept a few mementos. The little flag out of my hamburger and a little two sided advertisement. I didn't want to adhere the advertisement down because I want to be able to take it out and look at the map on details on the back too, so a pocket was the perfect solution. My friend Kim used the Stitched Bracket Dies as pockets on her layout and I LOVED how it looked so I totally took the idea from her (you can see her layout HERE).

I also used the following My Creative Time items: Just Simply Live for my 'SAN ANTONIO' and my other two stamped sentiment, the Vintage Stitched Label Dies,  Lowercase Fun Dies for TEXAS, the Mini Stitched Envelope Die along with the smallest heart from the Stitched Sweethearts and XOXO Dies.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

MCT April Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the final stop on the My Creative Time April Release Blog Hop. I have had SO much fun this week as the guest designer and I hope you have enjoyed some of the projects I've had to share with you as well. Thanks SO much to Emma for letting me join in. You should have arrived at my blog from Veronica's blog but if not make sure to head back to Emma's blog and get the full hop in. I know there are fabulous projects at every stop, you won't want to miss a thing.

I have two projects for you today! Like I mentioned yesterday I'm totally thrilled and excited about the Springtime in Paris set and couldn't wait to scrap my first day in PARIS now that I have the perfect set. There I am as fresh as a daisy, LOL, after a 3 layover flight to Paris, France. The president (adult leader) of my mission came and picked us up from the Charles de Gaulle airport and we stopped and saw a few sights. We went to Trocadero, the perfect spot to get a full shot of le tour eiffel (the Eiffel Tower). We also got pictures with the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine river in the background. And although I don't have a picture of it, I don't know if I've ever been quite as scared for my life as I was when we drove down the Champs-Ellysees and onto the round-about that circles the Arc de Triomphe. There are 10 or more streets that empty into/off of that round-about and cars were going in, out and around it at least 6 cars deep. It was SCARY. That is one experience I will pass on next time I go to France :). Anyway, sorry to keep you, I couldn't help but reminisce a tiny bit.

Here is my layout:

The vines, designs (french damask), French sentiments, Eiffel Tower and coordinating die all come in the Springtime in Paris set. For my date at the bottom I used the die and alphabet stamps from Just Simply Live. My Bienvenue a Paris (Welcome to Paris) sign is stamped on the Vintage Stitched Label Dies and each of my pictures was cut out using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die.

My last quick project is a gift tag. I got this awesome bottle of  Sweet on Paris body-wash from Bath and Body Works and I wanted to make up a little thank you gift tag for it.

I cut out the Eiffel Tower die, from Springtime in Paris, on sturdy white cardstock and then I stamped it with the coordinating Eiffel Tower stamp and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I inked it up with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I added an eyelet at the top and stamped the Merci (thank you) sentiment to one of the Chunky Jar Accessories die cuts and attached it to the side of the Eiffel Tower. I think it turned out pretty cute and it took very little time at all.

PKS November Release Sneak Peek Day 2

Today is the 2nd day of Peachy Keen Stamps Sneak Peeks. I have to tell you there are a TON of stamps on the new November 2013 Stamp Kit of the Month and there are SO many awesome possibilities.

I used the new November 2013 SKOTM in conjunction with the Stitched Quilt size A2 background stamp. This card is actually a 5x7" card because I wanted to mat my layers a bit and add a sentiment at the bottom but you could totally just go with the awesome A2 size and be done.

Aren't you just loving these new stamps? The little banner die at the bottom is by My Creative Time and is part of the Vintage Stitched Label Dies set.

Make sure to check out the other designer's creations over at Peachy Keen Stamps website. Hugs- Glora

Happiness is Eating Cookie Dough!

It is time for a new challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. This challenge is a CARDS ONLY challenge and you need to include a recipe with your card somewhere. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

I thought this would be a fun card to send someone who is having a rough day, I mean who doesn't love to eat cookie dough?

I included the recipe for a chocoate chip cookie dough that is safe to eat as is. In fact I believe the recipe said that it doesn't cook up well it is just for eating or adding to ice cream.

For this card I used the September 2013 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps for the bowl, cookie dough and face and cookie dough sentiment. I used the In the Kitchen stamp set for the 'Life's short eat dessert' sentiment. I also used a few dies from My Creative Time for my card. I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle dies and the Stitched 3x4 Journaling Die as well as the banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

HERE is a link to the recipe if you would like it (Willow Bird Baking actually has 3 different kinds of edible cookie dough listed here). Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Forum page with the title Challenges and check out what the other ladies made and join in the fun yourself. Hugs- Glora

Simple Boy Birthday Cards

It is time for another designer challenge at My Creative Time. Cindy is hosting our challenge and it is a BIRTHDAY challenge. So just make any birthday themed project and link it up on Emma's blog.

I made a set of 4 simple boy birthday cards. I have a terrific DCWV boy themed mat stack that has some terrific little scenes. I just added a couple of dies or stamps to each one and matted them to a card base and I was done. Super simple.

Here is a picture of each card close up and with the stamps and dies I used for it.

For this card I used a couple of strips of Washi Tape along with My Creative Time's Chocolate Greetings stamp set and the banner die that comes with the Chocolate Greetings Stamp set for the white layer. The black banner layer makes a perfect mat. It is the banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Die . I saw my fellow DT team member Cheryl use this idea before and knew I would love using it this way. Here is a set of cards she made layering these dies HERE

This one uses the Circle Font stamp set along with a bunch of hand doodled bubbles.

For this card I used the Stitched Square Speech Bubble dies, the Chocolate Greetings stamp set and the It's All About You stamp set.

And last of all is the Fun Ticket stamp set and the Stitched Fun Ticket Die set.

Make sure you hop on over to Emma's blog to see what fun projects everyone made for this challenge. I hope you will join in the fun too! Hugs- Glora

Back to School - Hand Sanitizer

It is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and for my project I had decided to dress up some hand sanitizer for some back to school gifts. We all know how those little germs like to spread around a school so I got the huge (40 oz) pump hand sanitizer for my daughter's new teacher and the little 1 oz bottles for each of my girls.

For the large cover I cut the apple paper with the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die (I manipulated the cut in my Cuttlebug to make it 3x6. I used the Vintage Stitched Label Die and the Vintage Label Stamps for the kraft piece. For the white circle I used the Stitched Circle from the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die as well as the All Around Everything stamp set. I punched some holes with my hole punch and tied it off with some ribbon.

For the 1 oz bottles I used the Stitched Lollipop Holder Die with the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies. And once again I stamped it with the All Around Everything stamp set. The apples are some buttons that I bought at Michaels and have had on hand for a while.

Make sure to check out Emma's blog to see what everyone has made! Hugs- Glora

Happy Birthday Kitty Tag

Today is the last day of sneak peeks over at Peachy Keen Stamps. Tomorrow will be the big release party on the Peachy Keen Connection as well as the official release.

I made this cute little tag using 3 of the new sets. I used the Cat Background, the August 2013 SKOTM, and the I Didn't Do It stamp sets. I also used 2 My Creative Time Dies: the Tag Dies and the Vintage Stitched Label Dies. I used some orange sheer ribbon I had on hand along with some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Don't forget to check out all of the AMAZING peeks over on the PKS blog. Hugs- Glora

Heard You Were Feeling Ruff

It is time for another Peachy Keen Challenge and it is an ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE. Just use your Peachy Keen Stamps on whatever your little heart desires and link it up. Easy Peasy!

I could not resist using some of the new stamps from the August 2013 SKOTM. Isn't that puppy SO sweet?! That awesome paw print, bone and dog house background is a new background stamp too! YAY! It is called Dog Background. The sentiment at the bottom is from the new SKOTM as well.

I also used a few My Creative Time dies for this project. I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die for my card base. I used the XL Label Die and the Stitched XL Label Die for the piece behind the dog. And the piece that the sentiment is on is from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies set. Other than that I used some gingham ribbon to tie it off.

I hope you will join in the challenge HERE. I'm excited to see what you make. Hugs- Glora

Teacher Appreciation Week

Well it is Teacher Appreciation Week here and I wanted to share a couple of things I have made so far.

First of all we decorated the door for our school's PE teacher.

I used my Sports Mania Cricut cartridge for all of the ball cuts. I used my Old West Cricut cartridge for the Thank You and for the other font I used the Cricut Craftroom Basics.

I also made a quick little wrap for an XL candy bar for my daughter's teacher. Our school has a gift theme for each day so we will be sending her teacher something each day. It should be fun.

Isn't that chalkboard paper fun. It is some old paper that I've had for years made by Provo Craft. The darling little belly band is made with My Creative Time's Vintage Stitched Label Die and stamped with the Vintage Label Stamp set. The thank you comes from My Creative Time's My Teacher Rocks stamp set. I tied each side off with a bit of twine.

I'm sure there will be more Teacher Appreciation stuff to share later this week so make sure to stop by! Hugs- Glora

PKS Sneak Peeks Day 3

Well we are already on day 3 of sneak peeks for Peachy Keen Stamps newest release. Aren't these babies and farm animals the CUTEST? I hope you have been enjoying the sneak peeks as much as I have.

For my projects today I made some bookmarks for my girls

All the stamps come from the May 2013 SKOTM. I just love these farm animals SO much! They have such cute accessories too! I colored them both with Copics. I added some ribbon and some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.  The tags, hearts and banner's are all dies by My Creative Time and you can find them in her store HERE.

There is also this awesome circle with a heart in the SKOTM. It is actually meant to be a wheel for the wagon/stroller but I thought it would make a cute background for either a wedding or anniversary card. So here is my CAS card that took about 5 minutes to make and everything stamped on it is from the May 2013 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps too.

Make sure to stop by the PKS blog to see what other awesome projects the other designer's have for you. Have a great evening! Hugs- Glora

Baptism Cards

I figured these cards were good to share on a Sunday. I work with the children in my church on Sundays in what we call Primary. When these children get baptized I like to give them a special little card.

Here is one of my simple boy ones. I used the Inspired Heart Cricut cartridge for this card. I also used the Many Greetings stamp set by My Creative Time.

And here is a simple girl one (sorry the angle isn't terrific). I took a few quick pictures before taking the card to her and this was the 'best' one. I borrowed this card's design from the beautiful baptism card that my talented sister-in-law made for my daughter's baptism.

For this card I again used the Many Greetings stamp set along with the Vintage Stitched Label Die. I used some adhesive pearls, Prima Flowers, satin ribbon and the BloomDot Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

For Someone EGG-stra Special

Well, I know I've been kind of quiet this week but I have been busy and this is part of the reason. It is time for another Peachy Keen Stamps release and I've been stamping, cutting and planning some for projects for the release.

My card for today is a pretty simple and easy one.

The ADORABLE eggs and faces are from the new March 2013 SKOTM, the background is a new background stamp called Grandma's Bathroom Floor and the sentiments come from a set called Easter Eggs. I also used a die from My Creative Time for my little banner dies. It is called Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Blog so you can see TONS of cute projects using these new stamps :). Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Congratulations - Missionary Card

Happy Sunday. I just wanted to share a 'religious' type card with you really quick. My nephew is going to be a missionary for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). He will be going to the state of Washington. I wanted to make him a card to congratulate him.

This card was VERY easy. I used the Inspired Heart Cricut cartridge and some My Creative Time stamps and dies. The die is from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies and the sentiment is from the Gift Card Sentiments.

Anyway, a simple and easy shape card that did that was exactly what I was looking for. Have a wonderful and peaceful Sunday. Hugs- Glora

You are Outta This World

Well I'm back. Don't forget to check out the fun card that I posted earlier, you can scroll down to see it or click HERE and you can check out Pam's card HERE.

I wanted to post this today because I wanted to remind you that you still have a few more hours to make a card and submit it for the current Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge. It is a really fun sketch and there is tons of inspiration over on the challenge blog, so I hope you will join in the fun HERE if you haven't already.

For this card I used the February 2013 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps as well as the Geared Up Background. I love this little robot. My 20 year old nephew is a HUGE robot fan and this card will be making its way over to him in Spain. The banner across the front was made using a die by My Creative Time called Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

Here is the original sketch. Isn't it great?!

Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

MCT - 12 Days of Christmas - Day 6

Welcome to the 6th day of My Creative Time's 12 Day of Christmas. Today I have a friend or neighbor gift idea. For the packaging I just reused a plastic bag that I had been given and it already had the cute little silver filler in it. I love to reuse stuff :).

I love this YUMMY hot chocolate and although I could just crush my own candy canes and add it to hot chocolate I kind of like having it already done for me ;). For the label I used the new Vintage Stitched Label Dies. For the darling hot chocolate mug and hot chocolate sentiment I used the Do the Cocoa Motion stamp set. And last but not least the 'warm holiday wishes' sentiment came from the Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set all once again from My Creative Time.

Here is a close up of the tag and little jingle bell with the candy canes behind it.

I hope you enjoy all the awesome ideas that the ladies have been showing so far. If you haven't yet, make sure to stop by Emma's blog to see what everyone has done today. Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen December Sneak Peeks

***If you are looking for DAY 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas for My Creative Time please scroll down to the next post***

Wow, I can not believe that another month has flown by and that I'm showing you December sneak peeks from Peachy Keen Stamps newest release. I can not believe how FAST this year has gone by!

First off here is a card using the new December 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month. I'm SO in love with these darling candles and the cute faces to put on them.

This style of card kind of reminds me of my friend Cassandra, she loves to use a rainbow of colors in a lot of her projects. The patterned paper is all from the Simple Stories Snap Color Vibe paper pad. I used the tag from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies by My Creative Time. I love how perfect the sentiment fits on here. The sentiment and all the candles and their faces come from the December 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month. I paper pieced the candles and added some Stickles, Glossy Accents and twine bows too.

My second card is from one of the new add on sets called Snow Me a Man. I totally fell in love with this snowman and this sentiment. I have lots of male winter birthday cards to make so this seemed like a fun one to make up.

Isn't he SO sweet? The patterned paper once again came from the Simple Stories Snap Color Vibe paper pad and I used the My Creative Time's Vintage Stitched Label Dies for the banner at the bottom too. I did some shading using some inks and chalks too. Have a terrific day and make sure to check out more sneaks over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. Hugs- Glora
