Beary Happy Birthday Wishes!

My daughter's teacher just had a birthday and she loves bears. I found this cute teddy bear cupcake file that I had picked up from Lettering Delights a while back. The set is called Nancy's Party and it is adorable. I used the teddy bear cupcake and made a cute little shape card with my Silhouette Cameo machine.

The sentiment comes from the Peachy Keen Stamps January 2013 Stamp Kit of the Month, The eyes came from the Everyday Character Faces 1.75" and the nose and mouth came from the Everyday Character Face Parts (all of which are no longer available for purchase). However, there are some very cute Teddy Bear Assortment Face Stamps that are still available (I have them and love them, they were just too small for my project). HERE is a link to the cute teddy bear faces if you are interested.

I wanted to make this card double sided so here is what it looks like opened up. I think it is kind of fun.

I also used some Glossy Accents, an enamel dot and some chalk to finish up my card. I hope you enjoyed it and that you have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Birthday Kathy!

Um, lets see if I remember how to even do a blog post anymore - LOL. I have continued crafting as time allows but just haven't made the time to post them on my blog. Maybe I will be better at posting soon, but for now, I wanted to make sure that I shared a card that I made for a VERY special lady. Kathy the owner and artist of Peachy Keen Stamps is having a birthday. She is such an amazing and sweet lady and I just couldn't let the day pass without letting her know how much I love and appreciate her! Happiest of birthdays Kathy!!!!

Kathy's face stamps just make me smile. She has such an awesome variety of expressions and looks. This darling face on this little girl is from the Christmas in July Face Assortment. The Happy Birthday sentiment is also by Peachy Keen Stamps and is from the Darren and Laura Lee stamp set. The cute stitched border comes from My Creative Time's die called Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More. The darling little girl and background are both from Lettering Delights.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and a very Merry Christmas too!

Hugs- Glora

Penguin Birthday Card

Hello! It has been a LONG time since I have posted on my blog. That doesn't mean I haven't been crafting, because I have. Things have just gotten busy around here. I didn't realize that having two children in school and to help with homework would take that much longer but it does. I wouldn't change it for the world though.

Anyway, I made this card for my niece's birthday. She loves penguins and she loves ice cream so it seemed like the perfect combination for a birthday card.

I followed the basic sketch for the current Peachy Keen Challenge:

For my card I used an SVG that they used to sell at KaDoodle Bug Designs but she is no longer available for purchase. I used the Critter Faces - Large by Peachy Keen Stamps and I used a few My Creative Time products: Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, Vintage Sentiments, and Trio Stitched Banner Dies

I hope you have a very sweet day! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs- Glora

Happy 50th Birthday Lorie!

My sweet friend Lorie is celebrating her 50th birthday today! I just had to join in the fun and make her a card for her extra special birthday. She is just the sweetest ever and I hope she loves her big birthday card surprise (lots of people joined in the fun).

I thought this turtle svg was so cute! It is from a set called Nancy's Party that is sold by Lettering Delights. I decided to make it into a shape card.

The adorable little turtle face is from the Pile of 1" Smiles by Peachy Keen Stamps. The '50' stamped on the hat is from Just Simply Live by My Creative Time and the HB2U sentiment along the side is from Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments by My Creative Time.

I used the basic color scheme for the current My Creative Time Challenge and so I'm linking it over there.

I had tons of fun making this card for Lorie and I will be sending it in the mail so she can have it soon. Happy birthday Lorie! I hope it is the BEST day!!!! Love ya!

Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Happy 1st Day of School!

Well, after more than a month I'm finally back with a crafting post. You probably didn't even miss me but that's okay too. I have been enjoying my summer with my children. They will be back in school in a couple of weeks. I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by. Today I made some cards for my girl's teachers for the first day of school.

The frog cut file is from Lettering Delights. The paper is American Crafts. The cute little face comes from the PKSC-06 June 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month. I used the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, Fun Stitched Edges and Gift Card Sentiments all by My Creative Time.

My 2nd card is very similar but I followed the current Peachy Keen Stamps sketch for this card.

The products used for this are the same as the ones listed above.

I hope you are all having a terrific summer too. Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Guest Designer

Hello! Today I am guest designing at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I love Lisa's cut files and I was so excited when they said I could guest design. I made a few projects to share with you today.

A special little boy just turned 2 so I thought this fun shape card would be cute for him:

This cute little boy and cake come from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons file called Make a Wish Cutting File. Isn't he darling? I stamped his face with a Peachy Keen Face stamp called PK-1320 In the Garden Face Assortment. I also used a couple of My Creative Time stamp sets. The #2 is from Follow Your Dreams and the Birthday Boy sentiment is from Celebrate Good Times. I did some faux stitching with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen and added some Glossy Accents to the eyes.

Next up is a fun beach ball shape card for my niece's birthday next month. She loves swimming so I thought this would be the perfect summer birthday card.

The beach ball shape card and girl both come from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons file called Little Swimmers. I stamped her face with another Peachy Keen Face stamp called PK-1200 The Moodies. I also added a sentiment from Craftin' Desert Divas. It is from the Simply Said stamp set. I did more faux stitching and added Glossy Accents to the eyes.

And my last project is a stick puppet for my girls. They LOVE it and I'm really hoping that Lisa comes out with some more princess costumes for these cute girl cuts.

I made a front side and a back side for her so she would be cute as they played with her coming or going. It was really pretty simple to do. All I had to do was rearrange the layers and voila.

The cute little girl is from the PPPR Dress Up Girls 1 Cutting File and her cute princess dress is from the Dress Up Girl Princess Dress 1 Cutting File. I stamped her face with another PKS face stamp from the PK-1320 In the Garden Face Assortment. I also did a little bit of accenting with my Sakura Gelly Roll.

I hope you enjoyed my projects for today!

Lisa, thanks so much for letting me guest design for you! Hugs- Glora

Happy Father's Day!

I made this shape card for my husband for Father's Day. It is also a shaker card. It was a lot of fun to FINALLY make a shaker. I also learned A LOT about making them from trial and error :). It was loved by my husband and my children too.

This card was made with only My Creative Time products. The circle shape is the largest of the circles from the new Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. I used the three smallest circles to make my Mickey icon (I cut the bigger circle and then I cut each ear). Since there is stitching on the negative it gives a fun effect to my Mickey icon (the stitching does overlap just slightly but I love it). I filled the shaker up with tiny little micro-beads I've had on hand forever. The sentiment is from Here's Lookin at You. Since it was for my husband and with a masculine theme I'm entering it into the current My Creative Time challenge.

I hope you have a terrific day. Hugs- Glora
