Bonjour

Bonjour! I have a simple little note card that I made and wanted to share. It will be perfect for one of my dear friends in France. I know she will LOVE it.

I used the current photo inspiration challenge at My Creative Time as my inspiration.

Here is what I made:

I used a handful of My Creative Time products for this. I used the Pretty Spring Wreaths for the flower wreath and colored it up with some Tim Holtz Distress Markers. A very sweet friend gave them to me quite a while ago. I have used them a few times but really need to learn how to master them. I've seen amazing things done with them. They are dual tipped and the small tip was perfect for coloring these tiny leaves and flowers. The sentiment comes from My Creative Time's Springtime in Paris. For dies I used the 4x4 Journal Die + More and the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. The size of my card is 4.25" x 4.25" square.

I hope you enjoy my simple project for today. Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

MCT April Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the final stop on the My Creative Time April Release Blog Hop. I have had SO much fun this week as the guest designer and I hope you have enjoyed some of the projects I've had to share with you as well. Thanks SO much to Emma for letting me join in. You should have arrived at my blog from Veronica's blog but if not make sure to head back to Emma's blog and get the full hop in. I know there are fabulous projects at every stop, you won't want to miss a thing.

I have two projects for you today! Like I mentioned yesterday I'm totally thrilled and excited about the Springtime in Paris set and couldn't wait to scrap my first day in PARIS now that I have the perfect set. There I am as fresh as a daisy, LOL, after a 3 layover flight to Paris, France. The president (adult leader) of my mission came and picked us up from the Charles de Gaulle airport and we stopped and saw a few sights. We went to Trocadero, the perfect spot to get a full shot of le tour eiffel (the Eiffel Tower). We also got pictures with the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine river in the background. And although I don't have a picture of it, I don't know if I've ever been quite as scared for my life as I was when we drove down the Champs-Ellysees and onto the round-about that circles the Arc de Triomphe. There are 10 or more streets that empty into/off of that round-about and cars were going in, out and around it at least 6 cars deep. It was SCARY. That is one experience I will pass on next time I go to France :). Anyway, sorry to keep you, I couldn't help but reminisce a tiny bit.

Here is my layout:

The vines, designs (french damask), French sentiments, Eiffel Tower and coordinating die all come in the Springtime in Paris set. For my date at the bottom I used the die and alphabet stamps from Just Simply Live. My Bienvenue a Paris (Welcome to Paris) sign is stamped on the Vintage Stitched Label Dies and each of my pictures was cut out using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die.

My last quick project is a gift tag. I got this awesome bottle of  Sweet on Paris body-wash from Bath and Body Works and I wanted to make up a little thank you gift tag for it.

I cut out the Eiffel Tower die, from Springtime in Paris, on sturdy white cardstock and then I stamped it with the coordinating Eiffel Tower stamp and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I inked it up with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I added an eyelet at the top and stamped the Merci (thank you) sentiment to one of the Chunky Jar Accessories die cuts and attached it to the side of the Eiffel Tower. I think it turned out pretty cute and it took very little time at all.

April Showers Bring...

I wanted to share a mini sized card (3"x4") that I made to fit a gift card for Easter inside.

I made this up with the color/photo challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps in mind. The colors and picture just reminded me of spring in its sweet subtle pastel colors. What pretty inspiration:

This is what I came up with. A cute little chickie with her umbrella.

I used the following items to make this: Peachy Keen Stamps - CottageCutz Shower Peepers Dies and stamps. I also used the PK-107 Cloudy Day stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps. For the card base I made a shape card out of My Creative Time's Stitched 3x4 Journal Die and I also used the Stitched Grass Die as well.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Easter

I love this darling sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I'm getting close to the deadline on this one but that is how my life goes sometimes.

I flipped the sketch on its side but kept everything else pretty close to the original.

I used several fun products on this cutie! The bunny is a Peachy Keen CottageCutz Die called Crunchin' Carrot Bunny. I've had it for a while and can't believe I haven't used it before. It is SUCH a cutie patootie bunny. I also used some My Creative Time products. The grass is the Stitched Grass Die (I'm SO glad to have that die - I was BEGGING Emma to make one for several MONTHS - thanks for giving in Emma). The awesome little egg dies and super cute sentiment are from the Hello Chickie stamp and die set by My Creative Time and the blue piece was cut using My Creative Time's Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. The papers are Core'dinations and Hootenanny by My Minds Eye.

I also wanted to link this cutie up to My Crafts Spots Cute Critter challenge because this bunny is definitely a cute critter if there ever was one. I hope you have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Have a Beary Merry Christmas

Welcome! Today my friend Pam and I are doing our monthly cut challenge. I chose the cut this month and it is the reindeer teddy bear from the Cricut Lite Teddy Bear Parade cartridge.

The cute little bear face was stamped on with the Teddy Bear Assortment (stamp set) by Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments. I also used two My Creative Time dies, the Fun Stitched Edge Dies and the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. I added some Stickles and Glossy Accents and I was good to go. I hope you enjoyed my card and PLEASE make sure to stop by Pam's blog HERE to see what she made with this cut. Have a good day and I'll see you back here on Friday for two blog hops. Hugs- Glora

PKS December Release Sneak Peeks Day 3

Well it is time for another AWESOME stamp release at Peachy Keen Stamps. This kit is super fun and there are some fun image and background stamps being released too.

I just had to use EVERY set so I have a few projects to share with you today.

My first one uses the December 2013 SKOTM and the Birch Tree Background stamp.

Isn't that little dear sweet? I stamped everything on white cardstock and used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color them. I even spritzed the saphire blue background with some glimmer mist and it has a really pretty (snow like) effect in real life. I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die by My Creative Time for my tag base. I tied it off with some seam binding ribbon and hemp twine.

I always seem to need some quick and easy tags so I was super excited about the new Reverse Sentiments stamp set. It is absolutely perfect for many things including cute and easy gift tags. I just die cut a few scallop circles, stamped these sentiments, punched a hole in them and tied a little baker's twine to them. It seriously only took a few minutes but I LOVE them.

And last of all I made a fun winter card with the Cool Cats and the Candy Stripe Background stamps.

I hope you enjoyed my sneak peeks. These are some super fun stamps that will be available for purchase on the 5th. Make sure to check out the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see what the other designers have made with these new sets. Hugs- Glora

Happy Thanksgiving Card - MCT Favorite Stamp of the Month

Today we are sharing the new My Favorite Stamp of the Month sets for My Creative Time. You can purchase both of these sets and get free shipping but ONLY on these two sets. Free shipping for these sets goes until November 15th. The sets are Piles of Smiles and Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

For my card I used a sentiment from Piles of Smiles.

All the products on here are by My Creative Time. I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal die for my shape card (now it will fit inside the awesome Scallop Stitched Envelope Die). I used the egg die from the Hello Spring stamp and die set to make my pumpkin. I totally got this idea from my design team sister Kim. She made a darling pumpkin out of this die quite a while back. You can find it HERE. For the pumpkin stem I used the end of the curly mustache die on the What's Growing On? stamp and die set. I also used the leaf from the Stitched Leaves Dies. And the sentiment comes from Piles of Smiles.

I've used both of these sets several times. I thought I would share a few of my favorite projects using these two Favorite Stamp of the Month sets.

These ones use Mixed Holiday Sentiments:

Happiness is Eating Cookie Dough!

It is time for a new challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. This challenge is a CARDS ONLY challenge and you need to include a recipe with your card somewhere. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

I thought this would be a fun card to send someone who is having a rough day, I mean who doesn't love to eat cookie dough?

I included the recipe for a chocoate chip cookie dough that is safe to eat as is. In fact I believe the recipe said that it doesn't cook up well it is just for eating or adding to ice cream.

For this card I used the September 2013 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps for the bowl, cookie dough and face and cookie dough sentiment. I used the In the Kitchen stamp set for the 'Life's short eat dessert' sentiment. I also used a few dies from My Creative Time for my card. I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle dies and the Stitched 3x4 Journaling Die as well as the banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

HERE is a link to the recipe if you would like it (Willow Bird Baking actually has 3 different kinds of edible cookie dough listed here). Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Forum page with the title Challenges and check out what the other ladies made and join in the fun yourself. Hugs- Glora

BOO Halloween Layout

Happy Monday. Today is Scrappin' the Little Things at My Creative Time. I have a Halloween layout to share with you. It coordinates with another layout I made last year so now I have a great double page layout.

I used some new and some old My Creative Time products to make my layout. The BOO stamp is from the Treats for My Sweet stamp set and the 'You're So cute...' sentiment is from the new Spooky Starry Night stamp set. I used the Stitched Spooky Ghost Dies for the ghosts and the Stitched Tab Die for the tab. The two photo spots across the bottom were made using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. The ghost faces all come from a Peachy Keen Stamps face assortment called the Sweet and Innocent Face Assortment. I used some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique too.

I hope you will get a chance to check out Emma's blog to see what everyone else has made as well. Hugs- Glora

PKS September Release Sneak Peek Day 1

Well we have lots of fun stuff cookin' for you this month for the Peachy Keen Stamps September stamp release. I made a few projects and plan on sharing one each day until the final reveal on the 5th.

Here is a masculine birthday card that I made using the September 2013 SKOTM.

I love the fonts for the cute sentiment and I think this cake stamp is awesome. They are both from the September 2013 SKOTM. I stamped the cake image with watermark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. In real life it has a nice little gloss too it. I used some Washi Tape and the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die by My Creative Time.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to see what everyone else has created with these new stamps. Prepare to be amazed. Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs- Glora

MCT 26th Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time 26th Release Blog Hop. I have had WAY too much fun with this new release and I hope you have enjoyed all of the fun inspiration as well. You should have come here from the talented Courtney's blog. If not you will want to make sure you start at the My Creative Time Blog so that you get the full hop in.

I have a couple of cards for you today. I will apologize in advance this is a little bit of a longer post that I usually do for a blog hop. Sorry.

On both of these projects I used the new Cocktail Party Stitched Dies. I don't drink alcohol so you would think that I would have no use for these dies but there are actually some awesome shapes in this die set and I had some fun ideas pop into my head when I first saw them. Here are a couple of these ideas.

First up is my flower birthday card. I made the flower using 3 different dies sets. For the center piece I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die, the petals were made by cutting out the Cocktail Party Stitched Die 5 times (the piece that I used is the part that would usually go in the wine glass as the beverage), and then for the leaves I used the Stitched Leaves Dies. The sentiment for my card is from the new Some Days Simply Require stamp set. My card base was made using the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die and the polka dot piece in the middle was also made using the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die. All I did was just run it through my die cutter twice to crop it the size that I wanted. Last of all I tied some seam binding ribbon, from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique, into a bow at the top.

For my second card I used the little olive pick piece as a cupcake topper and the little heart sprinkles are the inner piece from the heart pick which is also part of the Cocktail Party Stitched Die. The cute cupcake is from the Celebrate Good Times stamp and die set. The sentiment is the same one I used in the flower card I just masked off  the 'to you' part. The gingham piece was cut with the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die (I ran this through my Cuttlebug Machine twice so I could make it 3x3.5). I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die for two of my pieces, first was the kraft background piece, I ran it through my die cutter twice to make it 4x5.25". I also ran the pink strip through twice so I could get the stitching going down the sides. Then for my scallops I used the scalloped edges from the Treat Slider Box Die. And I finished it off with some Trendy Twine.

MCT 26th Release Day 1

Happy Monday! My Creative Time is having their 26th stamp and die release and today we are showcasing some very fun stamps and dies. I was actually able to sneak in something from all of the sets that we are sneak peeking today. I also threw in a few oldies but goodies too.

First the new stuff: Chevrons are totally in right now and with the new Build a Chevy Background you have so many options. I had SO much fun playing with this set. The 'You've been BOOed' stamp is from the new Fright Night set. The '10*31' is from Spooky Starry Night. The cute little stitched ghost die is from the Stitched Spooky Ghost Dies. Now for the old stuff: I used the Stitched Fun Ticket Dies, the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die, the stitched circle from the Scallop and Stitched Circle die set, for my tombstone I used the Just Tags die and last but not least the cute little face is from last month's release Things I Love.... I thought it fit my "CUTE" ghostie perfectly.

I added a little ribbon and voila a cute little card to give someone when we BOO them this coming Halloween!
