Everyday Cricut Day 3

This is a copy of my 3rd day project over on Everyday Cricut. If you have seen it wonderful, this is just a repeat, if not... ENJOY :).

Hello, wonderful Everyday Cricut Fans. This is Glora from Glora's Crafts and I am having so much fun being your Guest Designer this week. You are awesome fans. Thanks for your sweet comments. I've loved reading every single one.

Today I want to share a few things that I LOVE. First of all if you are not a Disney fan, I apologize in advance. I am a total Disney nut and love everything about it. I also love Core'dinations cardstock. I love the texture, the colors and the way it cuts in my Cricut! I am addicted to twine and ribbon of all sorts. The more the better. And I absolutely LOVE My Creative Time stamps and dies. True, I am on Emma's design team, but I would honestly LOVE these stamps and dies even if I weren't. Emma has an AMAZING eye for detail and design and I fell in love with her stamps the instant I saw the first sets that she was releasing.

And so with a little history of some things that I love, here is my card for today:

I cut Mickey in a chocolate brown instead of black because I wanted to keep with my fall colors. All of the paper is Core'dinations except for the card base and the peach (skin) color. Mickey is from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge and this beautiful leaf frame is cut at 5.25 inches from the Pooh and Friends cartridge. Even if you are not a Disney fan, these cartridges have a lot of extras images, frames, and such that you can make some beautiful projects with.

For the sentiment I used This and That by My Creative Time. I also used the Stitched Oval Die by My Creative Time. This die fits so many sentiments perfectly!!! I keep reaching for it over and over again.

I added a couple of brads and a little bit of twine along with a little doodling with my white gel pen and I was finished.

If you are a total Disney nut like me and would like to see a couple of my favorite Disney cards I will give you a link. I have a fun Mickey jack-o-lantern HERE and a cute Mickey Snowman HERE.

Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party

Hello sweet crafty friends. Today I wanted to show you the project that I made for the Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party. This block party is a big deal as they are celebrating one year of being in business and the winner of this fun block party is going to receive $600 of beautiful stamps. If you have some Market Street Stamps head on over for the full details and make sure you join in the fun for your chance to win. Click HERE to see the details.

I absolutely love Market Street Stamps and I'm especially addicted to their background stamps, I believe I'm only missing 3 of those beautiful backgrounds so far. I had just purchased the Sweet Spooks stamp set from their latest release and I had to use it for my project. I had this idea of making a vertical (image only) banner using the Sweet Spooks images and Market Street background stamps behind each piece. I really like how it turned out and I hope you enjoy it too.

Here is what the whole thing looks like just so you can get the general picture. Then I will zoom in on different pieces so you can see the detail better.

Here is a close up of the first three pieces:

I clear embossed all of the background orange oval pieces and I colored the images with Copics. Each image is also pop dotted up for some extra dimension.

Here is a close up of one of the bats:

I used the new Argyle background stamp for his background and some glossy accents on his eyes.

Here is a closeup of one of the ghosts:

I used the beautiful Cane background stamp for these.

And here is a closeup of a spider:

The background on this one is called Pretty Perfect Grid. I just turned it on an angle instead of straight up and down. The base of the spider is pop-dotted up. For this one I needed to stamp the spiders legs and its little string that it is hanging from. I had to stamp the legs and the string BEFORE I did the clear embossing. When you do this just make sure that you use an ink that embossing powder doesn't cling too and it works like a charm. I just used some Memento ink for the black and then I stamped the background in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see what you create for this fun Block Party too. Hugs- Glora

Fall Banner

If you are looking for my Whimsical Wednesday - No Tricks Just Treats post scroll down or click HERE.

I had made a mini banner for summer and when I took it down my oldest started to plead with me to make a fall one. Her requirements were leaves and the word fall. I had wanted to put the word 'autumn' but she insisted fall was better so fall it is. This is also my project for the current Let's Face It Friday Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is the whole banner strung together with raffia. I think raffia is such a fun fall look.

This is a close up of the first girly leaf:

I inked all of the leaves and added a few doodle dots. The leaves come from the Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge and are cut at 5". The darling face is from the Princess Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is a closeup of one of the fall letters:

The letter is cut from the Gypsy Font cartridge and is cut at 1.5" (base and shadow layers).

Here is the cute little boy leaf:

The face for this one is from the Boy Mates stamp set by Peachy Keen stamps.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little fall banner. Have a terrific night friends! Hugs- Glora

Whimsical Wednesday -"No Tricks Just Treats"

Today we have all made treat containers over at the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Blog. We hope you will make a fun Halloween treat container and join in the challenge.

This little milk carton was donated for our use from Regina at The Cutting Cafe and is called the Halloween and Fall Milk Carton Set. I don't have any other machine for electronic cuts other than my Cricut, but there was a pdf file and I just printed it off on patterned paper and cut it out by hand. It was super easy to cut out by hand, just straight lines and some scoring.

The little sucker and candy corn images are also from The Cutting Cafe, they are from a printable stamp set called Halloween Treats Just For You. The pretty crinkle ribbon is by Patsy at the Prairie Bird Boutique. The orange trick or treat circle is the Stitched Circle die by My Creative Time. The little starburst shape is a die from the Build a Banner Kit by My Creative Time and the sentiment is from the Mixed Holiday Sentiments by My Creative Time.

I hope you will stop by the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Blog and see what all the other ladies have in store for you. I also hope that you will participate in the challenge. Regina from The Cutting Cafe has sponsored this challenge with 3 cut files. Patsy from the Prairie Bird Boutique is also sponsoring this challenge with a bundle of shabby crinkle ribbon. I hope you get a chance to play along in the challenge. Hugs- Glora

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY - Robot Card

This is a card that I had started for the last Market Street Stamps sketch and just didn't end up having time to get it finished before the deadline. It is also the be-lated birthday card of my awesome brother in law. I had a lot of fun with this as I thought the cute birthday hat on the For All it's Worth stamp set by Market Street Stamps fit Robo Star perfectly.

I colored Robo Star up with my Copic markers and added some accents with my Sakura Gellyroll Pen. The orange paper isn't patterned paper but it is actually stamped with a really pretty background stamp called Cane by Market Street Stamps. The perfect birthday sentiment is from Wow! So Many Candles by My Creative Time. The little cogs were cut from the Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge and I made the bolts myself using George and Basic Shapes and my Gypsy.

I hope you are having a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Monday Madness... Imagine That - Race For a Cure

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday Madness... Imagine That with My Creative Time. Today we are all making 'Race For a Cure' type projects. We are also supposed to use our Imagines if we have them and patterned paper if we don't. Here is my card:

This is a standard A2 size card. The image is from the Sports Mania Cricut cartridge and was cut at 5". I cut it out a couple of extra times so that I could layer elements such as the tennis shoes and shirt. The perfect stamps (both sentiments and ribbon) are from Emma's Race For a Cure stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to drop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the Design Team have in store for you! Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Whimsical Wednesday Halloween Blog Hop

Hello crafting friends. Tonight is the start of the Whimsical Wednesday Halloween Blog Hop. If you came here from Joni's blog than you are in the right place, if not make sure to get the whole hop in by starting at the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Blog.

For my project today I have some Halloween treat bags and a card set. So on with the show. Here is my card set:

These are fairly simple cards. I used one piece of 12x12 patterned paper by SEI for all 4 cards. I got the paper at the Scrapbooking USA Expo. This piece of paper did all the work for me. The images were fun, embossed and have a fun metallic look too. The ribbon is all crinkle ribbon by the Prairie Bird Boutique. I did 4 different treatments with it. A regular bow, a double bow, and a couple of variations on a bunched up style. I learned most of these techniques from Kimberly at My Craft Spot. I added the darling Mini Ghost from Peachy Keen Stamps. I colored her up with some Copics that I'm still trying to figure out how to use - LOL. But I think she still turned out pretty cute. And all of the perfect sentiments along with that cute little spider come from the All Around Halloween Stamp set by My Creative Time. I love how they fit the cards perfectly. The fun thing about acrylic stamps is that you can make them wavy or straight like I have on these cards. Okay, I think that is about it on these, I just have a close up of each card.

I also have a couple of very simple treat bags to show you. These don't take long at all to whip up:

For these I used the XL Label Die by My Creative Time. I cut them out and then I stamped them with the coordinating border stamp from the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set. I stamped them with the I {heart} candy stamp from the Mixed Holiday Greetings by My Creative Time. Next I folded them in half and punched some holes for my square SEI brads. I put the brads in and turned them at an angle. I added some more beautiful crinkle ribbon from the Prairie Bird Boutique and some Stickles to the insides of the hearts and I was done. These could easily be mass produced for school treats or something like that. The patterned paper I used is from the DCWV Citrus Stack.

We have a lot of amazing sponsors for this fun blog hop, they are as follows:

1. Trendy Twine: Original Sample Pack
2. Trade Fish Designs: Rest In Peace Stamp Set
3. Prairie Bird Boutique: one bundle of Shabby Crinkle Ribbon-you get to chose the bundle.

And we also have a grand prize for the hop:

The grand prize for the hop is valued at a MSRP of $75.00. It is from PSA Essentials. This package includes the Stamper Body, a Peal and Stick Stamp Set, one customized stamp and an Orange/Black Inker.
