Halloween Card Swap

I participated in a card swap over on the Peachy Keen Connection. It was my first time doing a swap and I had a lot of fun. We were to use at least one embellisment and a Peachy Keen Stamp. This is my card. I hope the recipients like it. I can't wait to see what I get back. I plan on taking pictures and posting them here when I get them.

I also stamped up coordinating envelopes...

I inked up all the pieces which took forever but was well worth the effort and I added glossy accents to the spider and the nose of the cat.

*My Creative Time stamps - Mixed Holiday Greetings
*Peachy Keen CottageCutz Die & Stamp set - Nikkity Knack Cat

You Are My Sunshine Note Card

Good morning friends. I have a quick card to share with you today. I made this note card for the current Let's Face it Friday challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. We were supposed to make something that radiated the warmth of the sunshine. I thought that red, orange and yellow were perfect for showing the warmth of the sunshine. I also inked the edges of everything to give it a little more warmth.

This beautiful dotted border stamp is by My Creative Time. It is called Small Talk. The sentiment is from Emma's Turn That Frown Upside Down stamp set. The face is from Critter Faces by Peachy Keen Stamps. And all the paper is from the Die Cuts with a View Citrus Stack.

Items Used:

*Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge
*My Creative Time stamps - Small Talk
*My Creative Time stamps - Turn That Frown Upside Down
*Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter Faces
*DCWV - Citrus Stack
*Maraschino twine from The Twinery
* Tuskineko Kaliedacolor ink for inking

Spinner Card Link Up and Day 1 from My Guest Designer Week at Everyday Cricut

Hi sweet friends. I wanted to share my Everyday Cricut guest designer posts over here on my blog. I'm planning on sharing one a week for a few weeks. If you already saw this over there then this is just a repeat, but if you haven't seen it yet, enjoy!

If you have been inspired to make a spinner card (the inspiration didn't have to come from me). I would love to see it. Just link at the bottom of this post so we can see your wonderful crafty inspiration.

Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite kinds of cards to create. One of my My Creative Time design team sisters, Nikki (Scrappin' Navy Wife), started me on this obsession. I've made a handful of these cuties and never get tired of them, I hope you don't get tired of seeing them either. Basically it is a spinner card, but instead of changing phrases or images when you spin the dial you change the faces. So here is face #1

Oh yes, did you notice the beautiful BoBunny Double Dot paper, Melanie, here on Everyday Cricut, makes beautiful projects with it and I just had to give it a try. I LOVE it, talk about polka dot heaven and it cut beautifully in my Cricut.

Now I spin the tab and the next face on my scarecrow is...

And finally I spin the tab a third time and voila, yet one more darling little face...

This is a standard A2 sized card. I only used two Cricut cartridges (along with my Gypsy) for this project. I used Wild Card for the spinner card base and the postage stamp piece. I used Simply Charmed for the little girl scarecrow. For the darling faces I used a set of stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps called Rag Doll Faces. The beautiful tri-colored twine is by Trendy Twine. And that gorgeous sentiment and die at the bottom are by Emma at My Creative Time. The sentiment is from her stamp set called Mixed Holiday Sentiments and the beautiful die is called the Stitched Oval Die. I can not believe how many sentiments fit perfectly inside this darling die. I think it is an absolute must have.

If you are interested I have a picture tutorial on making a spinner card. Click HERE to go to the instructions. If you would like to see other spinner cards that I have made in the past you can click HERE.

Monday Madness... Imagine That!

Hello friends and welcome to another Monday Madness... Imagine That with My Creative Time. Today, I have a simple birthday card for my nephew. I used patterned paper since I don't have an Imagine. I also used My Creative Time's Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set.

The little Mickey heads are a paper punch I got from Disneyland and the idea here is confetti. I used twine and a Zig glue pen for the strings. And the balloons are actually a Disney Cuttlebug set called, Disney Celebrations Cut and Emboss Set. Make sure you stop by Emma's blog to see what she and the design team have in store for you! Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Cricut Banner

**If you are looking for Gilby's Makeover walk scroll down or click HERE**

I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the Cricut Banner contest. The contest was to make a banner with the word CRICUT. There are supposed to be 5 winners of the new E2 Cricut Machine and many of the banners will be shown on HSN on Monday, September 26th. I don't have cable so if you happen to see my banner let me know ;).

When I heard about the contest I had a couple of ideas but only got one of them made and turned in before the deadline. Here is a full picture of the banner, you can always click on a picture if you want to see it close up, but I will include some closeups as well:

Close up of left side:

Close up of right side:

Close up of the letters only:

These banner pieces are from Birthday Bash and are cut at 5.5". I included LOTS of stitching...

And now to my VERY favorite part of the banner... The Cricut LOVING banner girls. Here is the brunette:

This cute brunette was cut at 9.5" and is about 10" tall assembled. Her face is a Peachy Keen face I bought on clearance last year (discontinued). It is a BIG face and fits this darling banner girl PERFECTLY!!! She is holding her lovely Cricut green Gypsy and her darling Creative Genius shirt was a bonus stamp that Emma gave out with one of her stamp releases.

Now onto our adorable blondy:.

This cutie is a quite the paper princess. Her cute sentiment on her crafty shirt came from Emma's Paper Princess stamp set. She has another huge Peachy Keen Face that I picked up on clearance last year (discontinued). Can I say I'm SO glad I bought these last year!!! You could get very similar faces, just a little bit smaller with the 7-9"  Basic Paper Doll Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps. Anyway, she has her Baby Bug Cricut with her and is ready to play with some paper because that is what makes her HAPPY!

I had a BLAST making this and I LOVE how it turned out. I plan on making one to put in my craft room when I get some spare time - LOL! I hope you enjoyed it!

Gilby's Makeover Walk

Hello sweet friends. Welcome to Gilby's Makeover Walk. We are celebrating Wendy and Gilby's new blog look with a puppy walk and I'm so happy to have you here. If you came here from my sweet friend Emma's awesome blog than you are in the right place. If you just happened upon this puppy walk, make sure to start back at Wendy's blog to get the whole walk in.

We were each asked to do a 'makeover' project. I was excited because this was an idea my husband suggested to me a while ago but I just never got around to doing. Basically a before and after paperdoll makeover. What I mean by that, is I want to show you what my paperdolls looked like before discovering Peachy Keen Stamps and then what they look like now. Here is the before card:

I really loved this card when I made it 5 years ago and that is why I actually have a picture of it. I think she turned out pretty cute, but I always had the hardest time getting the eyes and mouth even. Plus it is a pretty simple card, nothing wrong with simple, I just like that I've learned to do more with my cards when I want to.

5 years later here is the 'makeover' card:

I hope you like it because I LOVE it!!! Isn't her sweet Peachy Keen Stamps face perfect?!!! This face comes from a set that I use a lot called Simple Sallies. I love Peachy Keen Stamps because I get perfect little faces for my projects!!!! In addition, when I discovered Peachy Keen Stamps I also discovered Emma and Nikki's blogs. Thanks to their inspiration over the past couple of years, I have started adding stitching and doodling to projects. It adds so much to a project. And about 10 months ago Emma at My Creative Time started making stamps!!! She has got an awesome variety of beautiful sentiment stamps that work perfectly for just about any occasion. The beautiful 'magical memories' sentiment is from her Fun in the Sun stamp set and the 'thank you' is from her Follow Your Dreams stamp set. I think they look just right on here. I can't wait to give this thank you card to my parents after our next trip to Disneyland. I know they are going to love it!

Well that's it for my makeover project. Make sure you leave a comment on every blog while you are walking along so that you will have the maximum chances to win an awesome puppy treat!!! Wendy and Gilby have some awesome sponsors for this walk including: VK Design Company, My Creative Time, Peachy Keen Stamps, Buggaboo Stamps, Jen's Digi Stamps, Cutting Cafe, Pink By Design, Our Craft Lounge, My Pink Stamper, and Gilbyscraftster. WOW, what a list of sponsors - good luck and THANKS so much to the sponsors!!!

Whimsical Wednesday - Fall Colors

If you are looking for Candace's Girly Birthday Blog Hop scroll down or click HERE.

Hello sweet friends and welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. Today we are making projects using fall colors and a homemade embellishment. I made a card and tried some 'new' things for me. I always like to try different techniques and ideas.

First of all I wanted to mention the ribbon that I used. We were given some to use and it is BEAUTIFUL. The colors are rich and the there is just this shine and shimmer to the ribbon. It is hand died crinkle ribbon from Patsy's Prairie Bird Boutique. It is has a fun shabby chic look and crinkle to it and yet it can also be ironed flat as well for a whole different look. I love the versatility. For this card I was going for a flatter look so I ironed some but I'm excited to try it in its fun crinkly form as well.

My handmade embellishments are my rolled flowers. I hand cut the spiral shape and rolled these up. Pretty simple and easy but it is the first time I've actually done it and I love the way they turned out. I inked them a little and added some glimmer mist.

The beautiful sentiment and the die it is stamped on are by Emma at My Creative Time. They are the Mixed Holiday Greetings and the Stitched Oval Die.

All the cuts came from the Martha Stewart's Seasonal Cake Cricut cartridge. I made the leaf border into a frame by welding it in my Gypsy. The pumpkin is also from this cartridge. I stamped and heat embossed the pumpkin with a background stamp by Market Street Stamps. The background stamp is called Paisley. Other than that I just did a little inking with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Creative Inspiration Paints will be our sponsor for this week. One random winner will get to pick out five colors of their gorgeous paint. HERE is the link to their store.
I hope you will join in the fun and see what the other ladies on the team have in store for you. Click HERE to go to the Whimsical Wednesday Blog. I also wanted to remind you that we will be having a fun Halloween blog hop on October 7th. Have a wonderful day. Hugs- Glora

The darling 'happily ever after' sentiment is from My Creative Time's, You Had Me at Chocolate, stamp set. The beautiful blingy paper (which is SUPER glittery in person) is by Core'dinations and as mentioned above the stickers are by EAD Designs.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #60

Sorry these last two posts are SO close together, I am getting close to the deadline, so if you want to see my Market Street Stamps post just scroll down or click HERE.

I had so much fun playing along with the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge. I had an idea for the sketch and I just had to try it (hopefully it hasn't already been done by someone in the past). Honestly, I have seen so many beautiful scenes by the Peachy Keen Design Team that I hope my inspired idea isn't just something that I had seen in the past that popped back into my head - LOL. I must admit I am EXTREMELY novice at coloring with Copics, but I still had so much fun putting this little scene together.

I think this Vivienne and Friends stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps is SO adorable!!! I also used my leaf punch, my Cricut. The darling sentiment and die on the left hand side are by Emma at My Creative Time. The leaf patterned paper on the left was made with a leaf stamp from the Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set that was just released by Emma.

Thanks for dropping by tonight and I hope to see you in the morning for Candace's Girly Birthday Blog Hop! She has a couple of fun sponsors and lots of fun girly inspiration. Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time September Release Blog Hop

Well after lots of fun sneak peeks, the My Creative Time September Release Blog Hop is here! I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects and inspiration this week. Emma has made another amazing set of stamps and dies. If you came here from the amazingly talented Katie's blog you are in the right spot. If not, make sure that you go back to Emma's blog and do the whole hop because there will be giveaways at every single stop!

For the blog hop I get to share with you the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set and the XL Label Die. These are both amazing products. First I made a card:

The ghost is from the Smiley Cards Cricut cartridge and her face is stamped with Monster Mash Faces stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps, he is also on an Action Wobble. He looks so cute floating around through the night sky with the help of his Action Wobble. I used a few extra stamp and die sets for the card. The 'Happy Halloween' and the 'October 31st' stamps are both from Emma's Mixed Holiday Greetings. And the little die at the bottom is the Curly Label Die and the border for the die comes from the Inspirational Words {Accents} stamp set.

Now onto the NEW items that I used on this card! The beautiful calendar is from the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set, the die it is mounted on is the XL Label Die (this die is a nice size - approximately 3.25" x 3" - if I measured correctly).

The XL Label Die is a good size and I think it could make a darling banner shape, so  you get to see a banner too. Here is the whole banner, it is about 4 1/2 feet in length (sorry about the picture, this was as good as it got, but at least you get the general idea of how it looks all together), it is seriously SUPER cute in person:

Here are some close ups:

Here is a close up of one of the ghosts. For the faces I used the Everyday Character Face Parts by Peachy Keen stamps. The eyes really pop with some glossy accents on them. The little note in her hand is a stamp from the Mixed Holiday Greetings stamp set. The ghost is from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and is about 6" tall.

Here you can see the beautiful die really well. The letters mounted on it are cut at 2.25" from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and the paper is Core'dinations. I love the glitter. The banner is strung together with some beautiful orange and black Halloween twine made by Trendy Twine.

Alright I've kept you long enough. Now onto the exciting stuff!!!

***GIVEWAY ALERT***

For my giveway today, I am giving away the stamp set I showcased, which is the Whimsical Calendar Days! All you have to do to be entered to win it is leave me a comment here & you will have until Sunday at midnight to do so! EASY PEASY!!! GOOD LUCK! :)

My Teacher Rocks - Basket

If you are looking for the My Creative Time sneak peek #4 scroll down or click HERE.

Hello sweet crafting friends, I wanted to submit a project that I made for the Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday Challenge. It has been a busy week so this is going up right at the last minute.

I made a fun little container to put some pencils and other supplies in. My daughter's teacher asked for some pencils, erasers, glue sticks, etc. I thought they would look cute coming in this basket.

This basket is super easy to make and only requires a sturdy piece of 12 x 12 paper. This was some cute paper by Me and My Big Ideas. HERE is a picture tutorial that I found a while back on  Kristal Andrew's site (Getting Cricky) blog. These are super easy to make.

The AWESOME sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time. I've used this set A LOT and absolutely LOVE it!!!

The ruffle along the top is crepe paper. I got this fabulous idea from Kimberly over at My Craft Spot. I love the way it dresses things up. The pencils are from the Smiley Card Cricut cartridge. The adorable faces are by Peachy Keen Stamps - Boy Mates and Princess Faces. The twine at the top is by Trendy Twine.

This also seemed to fit the criteria for the Pinkalicious Blog Hop and Challenge so I wanted to enter it there as well.

Alright I think that about wraps it up. I hope to see you in the morning for the My Creative Time September Release Blog hop!!! Have a fabulous night! Hugs- Glora

Sneak Peek #4 - My Creative Time September Release

Welcome to day 4 of sneak peeks over at My Creative Time. Can I say that this new release has been SO much fun to work with. Today we are working with an AMAZING die and stamp set called Build a Banner Kit. It is FABULOUS!!!! I am seriously SO in love with this set!

Do you see those beautiful polka dots and stripes on the main banner pieces? Those come with the stamp and die kit and are just the right size to stamp and then cut your pieces (they are 2x2 in size). In fact I also stamped the baby's outfit and blanket with the houndstooth background that comes in this kit! The kit includes 4 dies and 4 (2x2) pattern stamps. The letters in the middle of the banner do not come with this kit, but the alphabet that comes with the Anyday Bingo and Crossword set fit perfectly inside! I also used Emma's Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies along with the All Star Baby stamp set.

The darling baby is from the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge and to make it even cuter I stamped its face with the Just Baby Faces by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Sneak Peek #3 - My Creative Time September Stamp Release

Wow, this week is flying by. Welcome to day 3 of sneak peeks over at My Creative Time. Today we are showing a die and a stamp set. The Die is called the XL Label Die and the stamp set is called Whimsical Calendar Days. This set is another one that could be used for all sorts of projects.

First I made a really simple birthday card (the beautiful shape around the calendar is the die). I also used Wow! So Many Candles stamp set for the birthday sentiment:

How fun would these be for all sorts of birthday and anniversary cards, not to mention holidays and special events?! Oh yes and scrapbook pages and more! So many possibilities.

Another thought that I had for this stamp and die set was to make a small shape card. Something you could just stick on a gift or hang off the edge of a gift bag.

If you don't know how to make a shape card out of a die and would like to see a short video tutorial click HERE.

This is what the inside looks like:

I made the shaped card out of white cardstock and then I cut an extra die cut in patterned paper to layer on top of the front. I used a heart punch and some glossy accents to highlight the special day.
