Happy Easter

I love this darling sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I'm getting close to the deadline on this one but that is how my life goes sometimes.

I flipped the sketch on its side but kept everything else pretty close to the original.

I used several fun products on this cutie! The bunny is a Peachy Keen CottageCutz Die called Crunchin' Carrot Bunny. I've had it for a while and can't believe I haven't used it before. It is SUCH a cutie patootie bunny. I also used some My Creative Time products. The grass is the Stitched Grass Die (I'm SO glad to have that die - I was BEGGING Emma to make one for several MONTHS - thanks for giving in Emma). The awesome little egg dies and super cute sentiment are from the Hello Chickie stamp and die set by My Creative Time and the blue piece was cut using My Creative Time's Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. The papers are Core'dinations and Hootenanny by My Minds Eye.

I also wanted to link this cutie up to My Crafts Spots Cute Critter challenge because this bunny is definitely a cute critter if there ever was one. I hope you have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Guest Designer at My Craft Spot - Critter Cards

Happy Friday! I was SO happy to have been invited to guest design for Kimberly at My Craft Spot today. I have followed Kimberly's blog for a long time and learned lots of awesome crafty tips from her. She sells stamps and dies but she also sells beautiful crinkle ribbon, baker's twine, sequins, etc. in her My Craft Spot Shop. You should definitely check her shop out if you haven't already.

I love cute little critters and punny sentiments and was excited to showcase a couple of creations using her Cute Critters stamp set. Both of these are A2 size cards (4.25" by 5.50"). I wanted them to coordinate so I used some of the same products on both of them. The patterned paper on both is from American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad. I also used my corner rounder for the layered piece on each one of these and my Spellbinders Classic Ovals Die set for the oval background behind each critter.

For my ducky card I used the darling 'You QUACK me up!' sentiment from My Craft Spot's Cute Critters set. The adorable duck is a Peachy Keen CottageCutz set called Duck with Egg 4x4. I used some pretty crinkle ribbon and Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine.

To give my card a finished look I inked the edges, added Glossy Accents to the duck's eyes and chalk to her cheeks. I also used my Fine point Sharpie pen to make some accent dots.

Now for my second card:

Isn't that skunk SO sweet? I think this little cutie would brighten anyone's day. The skunk is another Peachy Keen Cottage Cutz die called Stinky Skunk 4x4. I thought she was perfect to go with this cute sentiment from the Cute Critters stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on the My Craft Spot's Ribbon Banners Wavy Die.

I did more inking, chalking, and added Glossy Accents to her eyes. I also added some Prima Flowers. I added adhesive pearls to the middles and drew some stems and leaves onto them so it could be a little bouquet of flowers. I also added more accent dots with my fine point Sharpie pen.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Thanks again to Kimberly for having me guest design for her. It was a lot of fun. Kimberly was also super sweet and has offered to let me give a stamp set away to one of my lucky followers. All you need to do is leave a comment here on my blog and let me know which My Craft Spot stamp set is your favorite. You can check out her stamps HERE

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

I have been loving the Peachy Keen Challenges and couldn't wait to join in this one too. I've had my idea for a bit and have been slowly working on it as I've had time the last couple of days and I'm totally in LOVE with the end result. I hope you like it as well as I do.

Here is the photo inspiration/color palate photo:

PKC-14-02

This reminded me of a bright and beautiful baby quilt. So I went to work making a fun baby card with a quilt background and bright colors and patterns. Here is what I made:

This required lots of stamping and paper piecing but it was well worth the time. The quilt background is an A2 sized background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps called Stitched Quilt. This cuter than cute little baby and the sentiment are from the Peachy Keen Stamp set called Hey Baby! I also used a couple of My Creative Time Dies for my card. I used the Stitched Oval for the baby to sit on and I used the Oval part of the Surprise Pop-Out Card Die for my sentiment base.

I hope you liked my card. You have until tomorrow night (Thursday the 27th) to enter the color challenge yourself (HERE). Hugs- Glora

Beary Special Birthday

I bet you can hardly believe that I've had 3 posts in 3 days, me either ;). Today my friend Pam and I are having our cut challenge. For the first time we are using an SVG cut with our Silhouettes instead of a Cricut cut. We both have a Cricut and a Silhouette Cameo so I would imagine we will start doing a mix of cuts from both machines.

I chose the cut because I LOVE it and I have a ton of birthday cards I need to be making. This one will be for one of my nieces. This cut was one of Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie of Day cuts. It is no longer free but it can be purchased for 50 cents HERE. It is called Birthday Bear. I was SO impressed with how well the Silhouette Cameo cut the balloon string. It is so thin and cut BEAUTIFULLY.

I had heard all of these people raving about American Crafts cardstock and got some for a great deal recently. I really loved how it cut in the Cameo and I loved how easy it was to stamp on even with its pretty texture.

I used PK-496 Everyday Character Face Parts by Peachy Keen Stamps to stamp my cute bear's face. I filled in the white spaces with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen and added some glossy accents to the eyes and nose. The adorable sentiment is from another Peachy Keen stamp set called PK-161 Happy Birthday BIG. It has a HUGE happy birthday sentiment and two smaller sized cute 'bear' birthday sentiments. I stamped this bear sentiment on the outside and the other bear sentiment on the inside. The piece I stamped the sentiment on is a die by My Creative Time. It is from the Build a Banner Kit I just lengthened it out to fit my sentiment. Then I added a seam binding bow to my bear and I was done. I hope you enjoyed my card. I can't wait to see what Pam did with this cut.

Make sure to check out Pam's cut HERE! Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Well if you didn't already know there is an ABC Challenge going on over at My Creative Time and I decided to join in on the fun.

I chose the letter 'S'... here is my card

My S items are as follows:

  1. Star (from the 3 Star Stitched Dies by My Creative Time)
  2. Stitching (I let Emma's awesome dies do the work for me there)
  3. Shine (I used some American Crafts metallic papers)
  4. Silver (color for my star and sequins)
  5. Sentiment (from the You're Brilliant stamp set by My Creative Time)
  6. Stamps (MCT sentiment and PKS face stamp)
  7. Sequins
  8. Smile (PKS Kawaii Face Assorment)
  9. Stripes (the turquoise metallic paper has a striped pattern)
  10. Small Size (3x3 size card)
  11. Staz On Ink (to stamp on the metallic paper)
  12. Sakura Gelly Roll pen (for the white on the eye and the mouth)

HELLO!

I just wanted to share a quick and easy notecard that I made with some of the newest stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps.

These cute little flowers, one of the faces and the sentiment are all from PKSC-26 February 2014 Stamp Kit of the Month. The other faces are from the PK-1370 Kawaii Face Assortment. The little flag I stamped my sentiment on is from My Creative Time's Chocolate Greetings stamp and die set.

I'm linking this up to the linky party at Peachy Keen Stamps (HERE). You have until the 28th to join in the linky party using stamps from the new release. If you have some of the new stamps I hope you will join in the fun! Hugs- Glora
