Happy Birthday Pup

I just wanted to hop on and share a birthday card that I made. I made this for my brother in law that loves dogs and I also submitted for the Peachy Keen Challenge that they had on the Peachy Keen Connection.

I used a few "NEW" items for it. The first was the Happy-Go-Lucky Dog Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps, the second was the Celebration Background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps and the third was the paper pad that the teal colored paper came from.

I hope you have a fabulous day! Hugs- Glora

Now I'm Talking to the Sunbeams

I'm currently the volunteer Primary President, in charge of our church's children's organization - Sunday School instruction for young children ages 3-12. It can be challenging to coordinate the different teachers, classes, lessons, songs, and activities, but it is always rewarding!

Since this is the new year, the three-turning-four-year-old "Sunbeams" class is full of new and excited young ones who just graduated from the nursery (which is for the 18 months - 3 year old children). I made these shape cards, with a unique design for each youth, and wrote a welcome message for each child.

So no, I'm not going crazy. In this instance, talking to "Sunbeams" is perfectly normal!

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Happy Lashes

The sunshine comes from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge. I modified them in the Gypsy.

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter Faces XL

Peachy Keen Stamps finish these off perfectly! And I'm also entering this in their Anything Goes challenge.

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Simple Simons

These cards fit perfectly inside of Emma's 3x3 Fancy Envelope Die. I love that thing, it is perfect for all my 3x3 notecards.

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Basic Paper Doll Faces

Incidentally, the class name of "Sunbeam" comes from both St. Matthew 5:16 ("Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.") and their class song (lyrics below). What better group to represent these values than 3-and-4-year-olds?!

Words by Nellie Talbot, © Intellectual Reserve, Inc.

1. Jesus wants me for a sunbeam,
To shine for him each day;
In every way try to please him,
At home, at school, at play.

Chorus
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
I'll be a sunbeam for him.

2. Jesus wants me to be loving
And kind to all I see,
Showing how pleasant and happy
His little one can be.

Repeat Chorus

My Creative Time December Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Creative Time December Release Blog Hop. If you came here from the talented Cindy B's blog than you are in the right spot if not make sure to start back at the My Creative Time Blog to get the full blog hop in.

For my project I made a coordinating card and envelope. I have a sweet crafting friend Amanda that does this all the time. I love the look and wish I took the time to coordinate my cards and envelopes more often.

The A2 sized background was made using the new Love Collage. The darling little stitched hearts are the new Stitched Heart Layering Dies, The postage stamp shape behind the girl is the new Stitched Postage Frame Die. And last but not least from the new release is the sentiment from the envelope. It is from Emma's new Chocolate Greetings stamp set.

The little girl image is actually an angel from the January 2012 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps. I just cut off her wings and halo to make it a little girl. The cute little rose in her hair is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Peachy Keen Stamps - Fond Farewell Blog Hop

Well it is official, my year as a member of the  Peachy Keen Stamps design team has come to an end. It has been a dream come true and I will treasure it always. Kathy has been so sweet and supportive and has worked her Peachy magic over and over again. Angelica, DoBea and Lorie have all been amazing to work with as well. I cannot imagine the amount of time they put in to keep everything rolling along smoothly. Thanks to all of you for your love and support as well.

I CAN NOT wait to see who made the team for next year. I've watched a lot of your projects this year and I've got my fingers crossed for so many of you.

Anyway, you should have arrived here from Cristina's blog, if not make sure to get the whole hop in by starting at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. There are AMAZING prizes and lots of inspiration at EVERY stop.

We were all asked to share 3 of our favorite projects for the year. So here we GO...

This is one that was made using one of the awesome Stamp Kits of the Month. Kathy has amazed us month by month with some incredible stamps. This one is from the June 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month.

This one has a sentiment from the April 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month and the darling little face was a new set from this year as well called Here Kitty Kitty Face Assortment.

And I had to end it off with a peach card I made for one of the Peachy Keen Connection challenges this year. The face is from an assortment called Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment. It is an oldy but a goody.

For the giveaway at my stop Kathy is going to let me give away one of my favorite sets called Happy Lashes Face Assortment. I love these faces, they just make me happy! Thanks for being so kind and generous Kathy! All you need to do is leave me a comment and a way to contact you. Thanks again for a WONDERFUL year! Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Stamps - December Sketch Challenge

Hello Peachy Keen friends. It is time for another sketch challenge over at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog. This is a cute and simple sketch. I really enjoyed working with it we are also celebrating a VERY special BIRTHDAY. It is going to be the Peachy Queen's birthday VERY soon so we are incorporating that into the sketch too. Happy birthday KATHY. You are amazing and one of the sweetest and most giving people that I've had a chance to get to know. I hope that your birthday is as special as you are!

Here is my card. I tend to stick pretty close to a sketch most of the time as I did this time, however sometimes it is fun to just play around with a sketch too. For instance the first time I saw the sketch I thought it would make an ADORABLE window scene. Unfortunately I just couldn't get a vision for the right scene. I'm certain someone will make one and I will say, "Yup, that is exactly what I was thinking." Anyway, have fun with it I can't wait to see what you all make with it.

Isn't that hat full of snowmen just the cutest? It is from the PKS December stamp release and is called Snow Sweet Home. On the INSIDE it will say "HAPPY WINTER BIRTHDAY" which is from the brand new Snow Me a Man.

I paper pieced the hat, colored the snowmen with markers, chalks, and Stickles. Then I inked around the edges, pretty simple but fun too. I hope you will join in on this fun challenge and wish Kathy, the Peachy Queen a happy birthday too.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see what the other designers did with this sketch/birthday challenge. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora
