My Creative Time Design Team Thursday! Red White and Blue!

Hello and welcome to another fun My Creative Time design team day. Today we were all to use red, white and blue for our projects. I'm so excited to see what everyone else came up with. Click HERE to go to Emma's blog and check out everyone's projects (Blogger has been giving some of us problems, so check back later if Emma's post isn't up yet).

Well my Gypsy has been a little bit sick the past month and today she decided not to work at all so instead of digging out my cartridges I went a little different route this time. I had some old Provo Craft clip art that is really cute but that I hardly use anymore. There were some paper dolls and darling Independence Day outfits that I printed and cut out by hand. I also chose a cute background from the PC HugBug collection. Then I added this beautiful banner from Emma's 'My One and Only' stamp set and this beautiful sentiment and stars are from the 'Encouraging Quotes' stamp set.

Thanks for dropping by today! Hugs- Glora

I was gone on vacation and have been busy with sneak peeks but I wanted to hurry and squeeze this one in. I also wanted to make this for the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge that started up yesterday. It was also a patriotic theme but we needed to add buttons, brads or bling. I added buttons.

That super cute sentiment is on the 'My Little Firecracker' stamp set by Emma at My Creative Time. These are the cutest patriotic sentiment stamps. And the super adorable face is Wide Eyed Kids. I just LOVE these faces! I find myself using them A LOT!!!

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you will come by tomorrow for Emma's awesome June release blog hop! Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time - Release 7 - Sneak Peeks Day 3

Alright, well here I am with a super simple shaped note card using two of Emma's new stamp sets. I used both 'Honey Do List' and 'Encouraging Quotes.' These are both awesome sets and I LOVE them. My clip board shaped card is actually made using a clip-board stamp from the Honey Do List stamp set. I just stamped it on some kraft cardstock and folded the paper along the top of the clip board. Then I cut around all of the remaining sides and voila a cute little shaped card. I stamped and paper pieced the remaining parts and stamped my sentiments on the front.

I know, didn't I tell you it was SUPER simple. I had thought of adding some flowers or something like that but ended up deciding that I wanted this to be something that I could give to a boy or a girl. Here is a picture of it standing up.

Thanks for dropping by. Please take some time to go to Emma's blog and see what amazing project she did along with all of the other SUPER talented Design Team members. Remember to comment on all the blogs for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice. Also remember to spread the word about the new release on FaceBook and Twitter for another chance to win a stamp set of your choice.

My Creative Time - Release 7 - Sneak Peeks Day 2

I just got home from vacation and didn't have time to participate in Day 1 of sneak peeks but make sure you stop by Emma's blog (My Creative Time) for a lot of cute sneaks. Today is Day 2 of the sneak peeks and we are all using 'Inspiring Words' and 'Inspiring Words Accents.' These are two different sets and can be used separately or bought and used together. They are super cute and mix and match so well. And the Inspiring Words Accents comes with the super cute little shape that I stamped the sentiment in.

I recently bought the Playtime cartridge off of E-bay and I thought this little girl praying would be perfect with this combination of Inspiring Words and Inspiring Word Accents. I really believe in the power of prayer and I think this will be a great pick me up for someone needing that reminder. The darling little face is a Peachy Keen Face. It is from a set called Just Baby Faces.

Remember to comment on Emma's project and all the design team member's projects for a chance to win a set of your choice of Emma's stamps. And don't forget to share about it on FaceBook and Twitter. She may just chose someone spreading the news to receive that set of their choice.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time's Design Team Day - Race For a Cure!

Welcome to another wonderful design team day with Emma at My Creative Time. Today Emma wanted us to create ANY project but using the Race For a Cure stamp set. This stamp set is AMAZING for it's original purpose but it is also perfect for so many other projects too. The font and sentiments are just beautiful. And another wonderful thing about this set is that you partner with My Creative Time in raising money for the Susan G Komen for a Cure Foundation. $2 from the sale of each set goes to this wonderful cause.

For my project, I wanted to use these beautiful sentiments for a TinkerBell scrapbook page for my daughter. She loves TinkerBell and this will be perfect for her. Click on the image below if you would like to see the layout closer up.

Vacation Countdown Chain

This is just a super quick post to show you a fun idea. Have you ever made the little countdown to Christmas chains? Well this is the same idea, it is just a countdown to vacation chain. I made this super simple because the chains were just going to be torn off and thrown away.

All I did was cut 1 1/2 inch strips of paper, I punched out some Mickey icons with my EK Success punch and I stamped the numbers on the icons with the numbers from Emma's Follow Your Dreams (graduation) stamp set. I LOVE these number stamps. They are an awesome size too. My kids were thrilled with this simple project.

I hope you will drop by tomorrow for my My Creative Time Design Team post :).

What Time Is It? It's Crafting Time!

I thought I would post a picture of what I made for my family for Christmas 3 years ago. I found some clocks on clearance at Staples and transformed them using: Disney Sandy Lion patterned paper, the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge, the Mickey Mouse font cartridge, my Cricut and some adhesive. I made 9 of these in all - they were a little time consuming, but not too bad considering I cut the pieces for each part at the same time. It definitely made things go much faster.

Voila - a Glora's Crafts original clock - featuring none other but Mickey Mouse!

PKS - Lady Bug Thank You!

Today, I have my card for the Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge #53. This challenge had an adorable sketch and a little twist to the challenge. We had to use some sort of a sponging techinque. I had a lot of fun with this challenge. I used the sponging technique on both the red dot background and the red part of the lady bug. Then I used a sponge and some ink to ink around the edges of the gray pieces.

This sketch was too cute. I'm certain I will be using it again. The cute lady bug and the thank you come on the same set Peachy Keen stamp set. They are called Lady Bug Thank You. The cute dotted background is one of my favorite background stamps by Market Street Stamps called Loopy Loo Polkas.

Race For a Cure!

Today I wanted to share a very simple race for a cure card. Emma at My Creative Time has made a beautiful stamp set for this cause and $2 from each sale goes to the Susan G Komen for a Cure Foundation. The stamp set is called Race for a Cure. I know a lot of us know and love someone who has been effected by cancer. I think this is a sweet set to show support for our friends and family that have battled with or are currently battling cancer.

Here is a picture of all the awesome sentiments and images for THIS SET. It is so versatile. I just love the font she has used for this set too.

Duck on Vacation...

I wanted to join in the Cottage Blog Challenge #1. I have a few of the CottageCutz dies that are designed by Peachy Keen Stamps and I absolutely LOVE them. They are so cute. For this challenge we were to base our project off a picture of beautiful pink blossoms that they provided for inspiration. I thought these flowers looked kind of like a lei all layered together so that is where the inspiration took me.

This is a pretty simple card but I really like how it turned out. I hand cut her hula skirt and drew some little flip flops on her too. I used the adorable Duck with Egg die for this project. Isn't she a cutie. And the perfect little sentiment is from Emma's My Teacher Rocks! stamp set. This is the card we gave my daughter's teacher for the last day of school today.

Here is the picture that brought the inspiration. Hopefully you don't think I stretched my inspiration too far Janice. And thanks for letting me know about the fun challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a great day. Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time's Design Team Day using a sketch

Hello and thanks for dropping by. For today's design team post Emma gave a sketch to work with and we were to create either a layout or a card. Here is the sketch we had to work with:

So I had this idea to make a LO and everything evolved from there. This is the part of my layout that looks like the sketch:

Here is the picture of the whole LO. You can click on the pictures if you would like to see them zoomed in a little more.

The Mickey ribbon going across is supposed to be a 'camera strap.' I also had a lot of fun making my own background paper. I used my HUGE acrylic block from Market Street Stamps and layered EVERY stamp from Emma's Camera Shy stamp set in a rectangular pattern. I added just a couple of small stamps from the Mom You Rock and You're My Best Buddy stamp sets to even things out. Then I inked it up and stamped it on my background. It took 4 times inking it up and stamping it to cover the entire red paper. I LOVED how it turned out. For the white background I used the "Seeing Spots" Cuttlebug embossing folder. I also stamped the 'capture a moment in time...' stamp repeatedly around the border of my photo mat.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam #5

Hello and welcome to a new month and another Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam. This is the first Wednesday of the month and so it is time for another cut challenge for Pam and me. This month Pam chose the cut. She chose the cute little baby rattle on the Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge. It is always a good idea to have some baby cards on hand. I discovered that I had a lot of spare baby girl cards so I wanted to make a baby boy card.

The cute sentiment is from Emma's (My Creative Time's) All Star Baby set. This set has SO many super cute baby sentiments on it. I LOVE it. I'm so excited to see what Pam has come up with for this cut. I hope you will drop by and see what she has created. She is SO talented! Click HERE to go to Pam's blog.
