Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 33

This Peachy Keen challenge is a sketch challenge. It is an awesome sketch. I loved it at first sight, but I just wasn't getting any creative inspiration on what to do. Today an idea finally hit me and I RAN with it. My daughter loves to draw pictures and write stories. I made a cover for a composition note book. This way she has a book to draw in and write about her school memories this year. I really like how it turned out and my daughter LOVES it. (If you want to see any of the details better you can always click on the pictures).

This is the sketch we had to work with, isn't it cute? I can see myself using this a lot!

I used the following items for this project: Create a Critter for the apple and the worms, Locker Talk for the words Back to School, I made the chalk board myself, I used Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies for all of the super CUTE faces. Then I added some ribbon, bows, a little bling and some white dotting with my Gelly Roll pen.

Here is a close up of the apple and worms. Enjoy!

I Won x 2!!!

I'm not typically a person that wins things. You know some people just seem to be more lucky than others. Well, my luck changed on Monday and I won two of my favorite Peachy Keen - Cottage Cutz dies. Below are pictures of these adorable little wonders :)! I'm so SUPER happy! Did I mention that I LOVE teddy bears and penguins. I couldn't believe that I won and then to find out that I won my two favorite sets! Woo Hoo!

Make a Wish

This is a birthday card for my Mom. She is the ultimate Disney fan and she loves the color red.

I used Sweet Treats for the present shape card, Mickey font for the Mickey icons.  I also used a MSE stamp that says Make a Wish! and my black pen to do some stitching. I'm entering this in Emma's Throwback Thursday. I hope it counts. I do have Celebrations, but I ended up liking the present on Sweet Treats better for this particular card.

Cuttlebug Thank You Card

This is the most simple thank you card. However, I think it has a nice look to it. I only used my Cuttlebug, a white ink pad and a paper trimmer. How simple is that? Have a great day!

Sweet Dreams

I had made up some baby cards to have on hand. It seems like I always need to have a few sitting around so I'm not trying to throw something together at the last minute.

Here is the same card, but in colors for a boy...

I really love this cute little sleeping baby Pooh Bear. I do wish that I had bought a stamp that says congratulations rather than hand writing it. I think that this image would make a super cute shape card. I think I will do that one of these days. I will post it when I do. The sleeping Pooh Bear comes from the Winnie the Pooh Font Cricut cartridge.

Have a Moo-tastic Birthday!

Our sweet little niece is celebrating her first birthday today! She is such a cutie and moo's like a pro. Her birthday present from us was a Fisher Price cow and ice cream truck set. We decided she had to have a cow card to go with it.

Items used:
Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter faces for the cow's eyes
Create a Critter - cow, birthday hat, gift sack, balloon and barn
Pooh Font- #1

Mickey Mouse Icon Window Card

This is a fun and simple window card.

I used the Mickey Font cartridge for the Mickey Mouse icon. I cut a circle from George and Basic shapes and then I used my Cuttlebug to emboss Happy Birthday in the middle of the card. I used a sponge and some pink ink for the happy birthday circle. This is a picture of the card when it is open.

I used the extra brown piece from the window card to make a seal for the envelope.

Peachy Keen Stamps - Challenge 32

The subject for this challenge was summer destinations. Our FAVORITE summer destination is DISNEYLAND. We had a fabulous time at Disneyland last month. This project will be the introductory page for our Disneyland vacation scrapbook.

I love how this turned out. I tried to give us all our actual look and I think it worked out well. Here is a close up of the paperdolls with their cute Peachy Keen Stamps faces.

For this project I used:
Peachy Keen Stamps - Simple Sallies for the girl faces
Peachy Keen Stamps - Basic Paper Doll Faces for the boys face
Everyday Paperdolls - for the dolls and their clothing
Mickey font - for the Mickey icons
Mickey and Friends - for Minnie's bow
Once Upon a Princess- for the castle
Gypsy Font- for Magical Memories
Rhinestones
White gel pen, black pen & Versamark watermark pen

Mickey Celebrates

This is a super simple birthday card made with some of the Disney Cuttlebug embossing folders (this set comes with two embossing folders and is called Mickey Celebrates). For this card I started with the ribbon and picked out cardstock to match the confetti.  I embossed Mickey's birthday celebration and then lightly ran my white cloud ink pad over the top of it. I think this helps the embossed images pop out more. I rounded the corners with my corner rounder and voila - a quick and easy card.

Tweet-y Congratulations

I made this little bird congratulations card for my nephew and his wife. They will be having a baby girl next month. My one and a half year old liked the birds so much that she tore part of it off. I tried to fix it, and it looks alright, I just wish I had kept it out of her reach. Oh well, hopefully I will know better for next time.

This is a window card, the little canary birds are actually on the second page. You can kind of see it in this next picture.

All the cuts for this card, including the scalloped card were from the Zooballoo Cricut cartridge. The stamps for the eyes are from Peachy Keen Stamps - Funshine Faces Side View. I made this card for My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge.

If you want a good laugh, read my previous post or click here. This is the funny entry my husband submitted for the "next big thing." Enjoy!

Dear Provo Craft,
I am writing to implore you to please NOT choose my wife, Glorajean, as the winner of your contest.

You see, my wife and I live in a moderate-sized home. She keeps her scrapbooking supplies in our bedroom, and ‘scraps’ late into the night while I try to fall asleep nearby.

The problem, as I hope you’ll understand, is that there really is not any more room for another “Next Big Thing.” Oftentimes, her project space spills over onto the bed and floor, making me dance carefully around the room to reach my clothes dresser without disrupting her work.

Over time, I’ve become accustomed to falling asleep to the chirping of her Cricuts. The glow of the Gypsy has become a nightlight that I’ve adjusted to. But I am afraid that if we have one more “Next Big Thing” to try to fit into that room, I might be evicted from the space and have to setup a sleeping bag in the front room in order to accommodate it.

Please understand that I love my wife dearly, and she is my entire world and more to me. I would never begrudge her hobby, or seek to withhold from her the happiness she finds in it. But just this one time, I hope you will not call Glorajean and let her know that she is a winner of your newest machine.

Sincerely,
A Scrapbooker’s Husband

I Have a Big Head...

This is a fun dinosaur shape card for a relative who is under a lot of stress and pressure from his not so smart boss (master) at work. He definitley needs a good laugh. I got the idea for this card from Simply Pam.

On the inside I wrote this quote from the movie Meet the Robinsons. I love that movie (so does the relative that this is going to)! I think he will love it.

"I have a big head and little arms.
I'm just not sure how well this plan was thought through...
Master?"

Look at that big head and those little arms. He he he! For this card I used my Gypsy to weld the dinosaurs together. The dinosaur is from Create a Critter. I also used my watermark marker to highlight the edges. I love that marker, I just trace the edges and everything shows up a shade darker. This is a quick and easy way to accent in just the right shade. Thanks for looking. Have a super day.

Sugar and Spice

This is a onesie shape card for the soon arrival of a new niece. It isn't quite a standard baby card as far the colors go, but I think they will really like it. They LOVE anything Disney. I made this card for Emma's (My Creative Time's) Throwback Thursday Challenge.

I used the New Arrival Cricut cartridge for the onesie and Mickey and Friends for the Mickey Mouse Icon and Minnie Mouse bow. I also added some tiny eyelets for the snaps at the bottom and neckline of the onesie. I stamped on Sugar and Spice and did some doodling with my black pen and a Sakura white gelly roll pen.
