Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party

Hello sweet crafty friends. Today I wanted to show you the project that I made for the Market Street Stamps Special Edition Block Party. This block party is a big deal as they are celebrating one year of being in business and the winner of this fun block party is going to receive $600 of beautiful stamps. If you have some Market Street Stamps head on over for the full details and make sure you join in the fun for your chance to win. Click HERE to see the details.

I absolutely love Market Street Stamps and I'm especially addicted to their background stamps, I believe I'm only missing 3 of those beautiful backgrounds so far. I had just purchased the Sweet Spooks stamp set from their latest release and I had to use it for my project. I had this idea of making a vertical (image only) banner using the Sweet Spooks images and Market Street background stamps behind each piece. I really like how it turned out and I hope you enjoy it too.

Here is what the whole thing looks like just so you can get the general picture. Then I will zoom in on different pieces so you can see the detail better.

Here is a close up of the first three pieces:

I clear embossed all of the background orange oval pieces and I colored the images with Copics. Each image is also pop dotted up for some extra dimension.

Here is a close up of one of the bats:

I used the new Argyle background stamp for his background and some glossy accents on his eyes.

Here is a closeup of one of the ghosts:

I used the beautiful Cane background stamp for these.

And here is a closeup of a spider:

The background on this one is called Pretty Perfect Grid. I just turned it on an angle instead of straight up and down. The base of the spider is pop-dotted up. For this one I needed to stamp the spiders legs and its little string that it is hanging from. I had to stamp the legs and the string BEFORE I did the clear embossing. When you do this just make sure that you use an ink that embossing powder doesn't cling too and it works like a charm. I just used some Memento ink for the black and then I stamped the background in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see what you create for this fun Block Party too. Hugs- Glora
