Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

I have been loving the Peachy Keen Challenges and couldn't wait to join in this one too. I've had my idea for a bit and have been slowly working on it as I've had time the last couple of days and I'm totally in LOVE with the end result. I hope you like it as well as I do.

Here is the photo inspiration/color palate photo:

PKC-14-02

This reminded me of a bright and beautiful baby quilt. So I went to work making a fun baby card with a quilt background and bright colors and patterns. Here is what I made:

This required lots of stamping and paper piecing but it was well worth the time. The quilt background is an A2 sized background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps called Stitched Quilt. This cuter than cute little baby and the sentiment are from the Peachy Keen Stamp set called Hey Baby! I also used a couple of My Creative Time Dies for my card. I used the Stitched Oval for the baby to sit on and I used the Oval part of the Surprise Pop-Out Card Die for my sentiment base.

I hope you liked my card. You have until tomorrow night (Thursday the 27th) to enter the color challenge yourself (HERE). Hugs- Glora

Beary Special Birthday

I bet you can hardly believe that I've had 3 posts in 3 days, me either ;). Today my friend Pam and I are having our cut challenge. For the first time we are using an SVG cut with our Silhouettes instead of a Cricut cut. We both have a Cricut and a Silhouette Cameo so I would imagine we will start doing a mix of cuts from both machines.

I chose the cut because I LOVE it and I have a ton of birthday cards I need to be making. This one will be for one of my nieces. This cut was one of Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie of Day cuts. It is no longer free but it can be purchased for 50 cents HERE. It is called Birthday Bear. I was SO impressed with how well the Silhouette Cameo cut the balloon string. It is so thin and cut BEAUTIFULLY.

I had heard all of these people raving about American Crafts cardstock and got some for a great deal recently. I really loved how it cut in the Cameo and I loved how easy it was to stamp on even with its pretty texture.

I used PK-496 Everyday Character Face Parts by Peachy Keen Stamps to stamp my cute bear's face. I filled in the white spaces with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen and added some glossy accents to the eyes and nose. The adorable sentiment is from another Peachy Keen stamp set called PK-161 Happy Birthday BIG. It has a HUGE happy birthday sentiment and two smaller sized cute 'bear' birthday sentiments. I stamped this bear sentiment on the outside and the other bear sentiment on the inside. The piece I stamped the sentiment on is a die by My Creative Time. It is from the Build a Banner Kit I just lengthened it out to fit my sentiment. Then I added a seam binding bow to my bear and I was done. I hope you enjoyed my card. I can't wait to see what Pam did with this cut.

Make sure to check out Pam's cut HERE! Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

You're Brilliant

Well are you all loving the new release sneak peeks they are having over at My Creative Time as much as I am? Wow, Emma just keeps coming out with such fun and awesome products. I love it. Well if you didn't already know there is an ABC Challenge going on over at My Creative Time and I decided to join in on the fun.

I chose the letter 'S'... here is my card

My S items are as follows:

  1. Star (from the 3 Star Stitched Dies by My Creative Time)
  2. Stitching (I let Emma's awesome dies do the work for me there)
  3. Shine (I used some American Crafts metallic papers)
  4. Silver (color for my star and sequins)
  5. Sentiment (from the You're Brilliant stamp set by My Creative Time)
  6. Stamps (MCT sentiment and PKS face stamp)
  7. Sequins
  8. Smile (PKS Kawaii Face Assorment)
  9. Stripes (the turquoise metallic paper has a striped pattern)
  10. Small Size (3x3 size card)
  11. Staz On Ink (to stamp on the metallic paper)
  12. Sakura Gelly Roll pen (for the white on the eye and the mouth)
Okay, I think that is as far as I can stretch my S letter ;). Sounds like a fun little challenge doesn't it? You can still join in on the fun at My Creative Time HERE.

Have a great day! Hugs - Glora

HELLO!

I just wanted to share a quick and easy notecard that I made with some of the newest stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps.

These cute little flowers, one of the faces and the sentiment are all from PKSC-26 February 2014 Stamp Kit of the Month. The other faces are from the PK-1370 Kawaii Face Assortment. The little flag I stamped my sentiment on is from My Creative Time's Chocolate Greetings stamp and die set.

I'm linking this up to the linky party at Peachy Keen Stamps (HERE). You have until the 28th to join in the linky party using stamps from the new release. If you have some of the new stamps I hope you will join in the fun! Hugs- Glora

Upcycle Valentine

Oops, I had this scheduled to post (but hadn't finished up my post yet). I was going to finish it up and post it last night but we had this explosion of some sort at our little power substation down the street and lost all of our power for a few hours. My family actually saw the 'explosion' happen as we were driving home from my parents house. It was kind of scary. I decided to go to bed and forgot all about this post during the craziness of it all. I got up this morning (thankfully to having power again) and got ready for church and got home from church a bit ago and saw that I had a sweet little comment on this post and realized that OOPS I didn't finish the post. Haha, so there is your random story for the day.

I made this for a sweet friend that goes to my church. She is a mom of three grown boys that live away from home and she is divorced. She had mentioned that she wasn't super excited about the upcoming 'LOVE' holiday and I wanted her to know that she is VERY loved. She is such a sweetheart and I wanted her to know that me and my family were thinking of her and hoping she was having a good day.

The little circles/messages on the bottom of the kisses is ABSOLUTELY NOT MY OWN. I've seen people do these for quite a while now and thought I would try one too. I saw Peachy Keen's designer, Emily's, cute kisses with the new Kawaii Face stamps by Peachy Keen on them and knew I had to use a few of those for mine too. You should check out her SUPER cute post HERE

I used LOTS of My Creative Time products for this upcycle project (9 to be exact). The tube was from a tube of mini M and M's from Christmas. I washed it up and then decorated it. I used the Fun Stitched Edges for the scalloped bottom layer and some patterned paper on top of that. I used some pretty twine at the top and bottom too. I attached one of My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Dies with a sentiment from the Teeny Tag Holidays. I used the Build a Banner Dies for the circles on the bottom of the kisses. I dressed up those circles with sentiments/images from the following stamp sets by My Creative Time: Any Day Bingo and Crossword, You Had Me at Chocolate, Postcard Add Ons, Turn That Frown Upside Down and Chocolate Greetings.

Since I used more than 8 My Creative Time products on this I wanted to enter it in their current designer challenge HERE. I'm also linking it to the linky party at Peachy Keen Stamps since I used face stamps from the newest release. You can find that linky party HERE. Hugs- Glora

Yummy Chocolate Sucker Valentine

I had these yummy chocolate suckers that I got from See's Candy. I wanted to dress them up for the recipients and so I made these little sucker holders.

I used a bunch of Emma's, My Creative Time, products to put these together. I used the Stitched Lollipop Holder for the main piece. I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies to layer on top (these items coordinate perfectly). I decided that I wanted to cut a heart out of the middle of the circle piece (to let the pretty red metallic paper show through). I used the new Stitched Sweethearts and XOXO dies, I thought these were perfect because they left the pretty stitching on the outside of the cut. I stamped the sentiment using the All Around Holidays stamp set. I used some pretty Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine to hang my hearts (these were the insides of the heart that I cut out of the circles). I also tied a quick twine bow at the top.

I thought I'd enter these into the the Trendy Twine Valentine treat packaging challenge. I have one more Valentine's post. I might just get it up tonight. We will see. I hope you are having a great Saturday! Hugs- Glora

Princess Valentines

I know these are a little late but I have a few Valentine projects that I didn't get posted before the big day (actually I was making most of these during the little one's nap on Valentine's Day). That has just been life lately. I think these turned out pretty cute and wanted to share them. I have a couple of treat projects that I will be sharing in the next couple of days too.

I used the sketch from the My Craft Spot challenge this week.

This first one was for my oldest girl:

The SVG and patterned paper are both from Lettering Delights. The princess is from the Ice Princess Cut Set using the print and cut feature on the Cameo. Her darling face is from the In the Garden face assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. The darling sentiment is from More Gift Card Sentiments by My Creative Time and the Ribbon Banners - Wavy die is from My Craft Spot.

Here is the one for my younger daughter:

I used the same format and supplies for this card except that the princess file is from Lettering Delights Happily Ever After Cut It set. My girls loved them. I hope you had a terrific Valentine's Day too. Hugs- Glora

Teddy Bear Valentine

Well I finally took some time to put together my entry for the sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I got my new stamps and had to ink up one of these SUPER cute teddy bears.

Here is the sketch:

PKC-14-01

The adorable teddy bear is a steal of a deal this month and can be found HERE. It is called PK-1372 Teddy Bear Love.

Isn't that bear SWEET?! I used several My Creative Time Dies too. I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die to make my own stitched shapes for the card (the background mat and the two rounded rectangle pieces). I also used the Stitched Scallop Heart Die Set, and the Stitched Sweetheart and XOXO Dies. I saw Ruthie use these two sets together and knew I wanted to do it too.

I used some glossy accents and some chalk to finish up my card.

I also want to enter this card in the linky party at Craftin Desert Divas. I used green, pink and white from the color inspiration photo.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora
