Accordion Birthday Card

My sweet husband just celebrated his birthday and I made this card for him. While I was at it I incorporated a couple of my favorite challenges. I followed the sketch at Peachy Keen Stamps and I did the 'no patterned paper' challenge at My Creative Time.

Here is the Peachy Keen Stamps sketch (I'm flipping it to show you how I interpreted the sketch).

Here is my card:

He he, isn't it cute. My husband plays the accordion and so when I saw this cut in the Musical Instruments set, in my Kawaii-a-Bunga Bundle from Lettering Delights, I was thrilled. I decided to use the print and cut feature on it. I printed on some pretty textured American Crafts cardstock. It really gives it a nice texture and look. My accordion is on an Action Wobble and looks pretty darn cute wobbling around. I stamped it with a Boy Mates Face stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment and music notes come from My Creative Time's, Wow! So Many Candles stamp set. The card base itself was cut using My Creative Time's 4x4 Journal Die + More die set.

The card was a success here. I hope you like it too!

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam

I've been meaning to share these little sunbeam postcards for a couple of months now. I am the Primary President at my church (which means I help with the children age 18 months to 11 years) and I like to give the littlest children, called Sunbeams, a happy greeting. The first few weeks in a larger setting can be a little scary for them so I like them to have something fun and just for them to take home. Last year I made some that looked like THIS (click HERE to see last years version).

This year I used my Silhouette Cameo to the max.

I designed these little 4x4 postcards and then printed them out. The outer edge was just SLIGHTLY bigger than 4x4 so I could cut them out using My Creative Time's 4x4 Journal Die + More. I gave the cards such a professional look.

The sweet sunshine and background are all files from Lettering Delights. Then I stamped on some cute Peachy Keen Faces. I had mostly boys in the class this year so I used the Boy Mates Face Assortment along with the Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! May the Lord watch over and bless you always! Hugs- Glora

P.S. Since it is Sunday and these cards were made for a religious purpose I thought I would share a link to my, I'm a Mormon page. You can find it HERE if you are interested.

Guest Designing for Emma

Hello friend, today I'm guest designing for the incredible Miss Emma of My Creative Time while she is busy taking care of her beautiful family.

Today I have a baby announcement to share. This card has a simple, clean style because I'm making a little more than 30 of these to mail out to family members to announce the recent arrival of our little boy.

For this card I used the following items: My Creative Time's Stitched Oval Die, and My Creative Time's All Star Baby Stamp set. I also used: the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge, the Welcome Baby Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and Boy Mate Faces by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Please make sure to continue to keep Emma and her beautiful family in your thoughts and prayers! Hugs- Glora

Fall Banner

If you are looking for my Whimsical Wednesday - No Tricks Just Treats post scroll down or click HERE.

I had made a mini banner for summer and when I took it down my oldest started to plead with me to make a fall one. Her requirements were leaves and the word fall. I had wanted to put the word 'autumn' but she insisted fall was better so fall it is. This is also my project for the current Let's Face It Friday Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is the whole banner strung together with raffia. I think raffia is such a fun fall look.

This is a close up of the first girly leaf:

I inked all of the leaves and added a few doodle dots. The leaves come from the Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge and are cut at 5". The darling face is from the Princess Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is a closeup of one of the fall letters:

The letter is cut from the Gypsy Font cartridge and is cut at 1.5" (base and shadow layers).

Here is the cute little boy leaf:

The face for this one is from the Boy Mates stamp set by Peachy Keen stamps.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little fall banner. Have a terrific night friends! Hugs- Glora

My Teacher Rocks - Basket

If you are looking for the My Creative Time sneak peek #4 scroll down or click HERE.

Hello sweet crafting friends, I wanted to submit a project that I made for the Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday Challenge. It has been a busy week so this is going up right at the last minute.

I made a fun little container to put some pencils and other supplies in. My daughter's teacher asked for some pencils, erasers, glue sticks, etc. I thought they would look cute coming in this basket.

This basket is super easy to make and only requires a sturdy piece of 12 x 12 paper. This was some cute paper by Me and My Big Ideas. HERE is a picture tutorial that I found a while back on  Kristal Andrew's site (Getting Cricky) blog. These are super easy to make.

The AWESOME sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time. I've used this set A LOT and absolutely LOVE it!!!

The ruffle along the top is crepe paper. I got this fabulous idea from Kimberly over at My Craft Spot. I love the way it dresses things up. The pencils are from the Smiley Card Cricut cartridge. The adorable faces are by Peachy Keen Stamps - Boy Mates and Princess Faces. The twine at the top is by Trendy Twine.

This also seemed to fit the criteria for the Pinkalicious Blog Hop and Challenge so I wanted to enter it there as well.

Alright I think that about wraps it up. I hope to see you in the morning for the My Creative Time September Release Blog hop!!! Have a fabulous night! Hugs- Glora

Guest Designer over at September Ninth

***If you are looking for the My Creative Time - July Release - Day 3 project please click HERE or scroll down***

Hello, everyone, I'm beyond thrilled to have been asked by Ruthie at September Ninth to be a guest designer on her blog today. I have been a fan of Ruthie's ever since she started as a Design Team member for Peachy Keen Stamps and now I'm lucky to be on the My Creative Time Design Team with her. She has a perfect eye for color and pattern combinations and makes the most beautiful banners I've ever seen! I love everything she makes but she is, in my opinion, the Banner Queen! I think I might be crazy to post a banner on the Banner Queen's blog, but she was the one who has inspired me to start making a few banners, so I felt it was only appropriate. This is a mini-banner that I made and is hanging on the door of our family room.

I'm going to show you a few more pictures just so that you can see the details better.

I'd like to thank RUTHIE so much for letting me have the opportunity to be a guest designer on her blog. Hugs- Glora

Let's Face it Friday - Old School

Last weekend my husband was helping me come up with things that happened the year we graduated, for the Let's Face it Friday Challenge. It ended up being quite a list but in the end my favorite was the move from DOS to Windows. I finally got around to getting it put together and my project is a VERY happy little laptop that has converted from DOS to Windows. I hope you like it.

The cute face is Boy Mates from Peachy Keen. The darling sentiment is from Wow! So Many Candles by Emma at My Creative Time. And last but not least that super fun background is called Grungy Border by Market Street Stamps. Have a fabulous day and I will see you back here tomorrow evening for the Whimsical Wednesday Blog Hop! Hugs- Glora
