Happy Easter Treat Basket

It is time for another 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time.

For my project I got my inspiration from a recent trip to Archiver's. They had these paper baskets that I've made before, but there's had something different. They had a peeking bunny over one of the edges. They had used some paper punches and hand drawn a face on theirs too. I couldn't get over the cute idea and knew that I had to make one but with Emma's dies and with a Peachy Keen Face Stamp.

To make my bunny I used Emma's Stitched Circle Die and the Stitched Oval Die. Easy peasy but cute too. I used the Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8" faces by Peachy Keen Stamps for the face. The sentiment is from Emma's To My Best Peep stamp set and the little piece I stamped on is a die from the Chunky Jar Accessories set.

If you haven't made one of these baskets before it is SUPER simple. My friend Pam made a video tutorial on how to make these a while back. Click HERE if you are interested in seeing her video. Most people make these with a 12x12 piece of paper (which requires a LOT of candy to fill it). I was going for something a little smaller and used a 6x6 piece of paper.

If you are interested in making these in different sizes I will give you some measurements below that might help you out:

*The original 12x12 size is scored at 4" and 8" (when completed the base and each side panel is 4"x4")

*For a 9"x9" piece of paper score at 3" and 6" (when completed the base and each side panel is 3"x3")

*For a 7.5"x7.5" piece of paper score at 2.5" and 5" (when completed the base each side panel is 2.5"x 2.5")

*For a 6"x6" piece of paper score at 2" and 4" (when completed the base and each side panel is 2"x2"). THIS is the size that I used for this project!

And if you want to make a really tiny one...
take a 3"x3" piece of paper and score at 1" and 2" (when completed the base and each side panel is 1"x 1")

Make sure to stop by Emma's blog and check out the other 3D projects!

Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

  8. How clever to make a bunny with the dies. I like the 6" smaller basket and less candy idea...and we can make four from a 12" paper. Great job! Pam's video is very good. The basket is more simple to make than it looks. Cute.

  9. Glora ~ this is soooo STINKIN ADORABLE! EEK! First how you created the bunny just WOW! Totally borrowing this idea! Then of course the papers ~ LOVE gingham but the inside of that paper is so PRETTY too! Of course the face! I have always wanted to make one of these and actually have one sort of made or scored! THANK YOU for ALL the measurements for the different sizes! Trying to figure out a way to copy this & save for future use! AWESOME as always!
