My Creative Time Beary Special Blog Hop

***If you are looking for my Peachy Keen Blog Post scroll down to the next post.***

Even though its not quite Halloween, Emma has decided to give you all a "Beary Special Treat"! This doesn't cause weight gain but will cause CUTENESS OVERLOAD! Included in this hop, you will see a "Beary Special" stamp set that was designed by Emma for this special hop!  Also, joining us for this hop are 5 VERY TALENTED "Guest Designers"!

Well you really are in for a treat especially if you love teddy bears as much as I do. You should have arrived here from Debbie's blog but if not make sure that you start back at the My Creative Time blog so that you don't miss a single stop.

I made a couple of projects because I LOVE this set SO much. First up a card:

This adorable little koala bear is from the new Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge. The heart background shapes are also from that cartridge I just made it into a shape card using my Gypsy. The ADORABLE little face on the koala is from the Critter Faces - Medium stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. And of course that AWESOME sentiment is from the brand new Beary Special Thoughts stamp set by My Creative Time.

My Second Project is a layout.

The brown section is a 5.25 x 7.25 mat for a 5x7 photo. The pretty picot trim across the top of it is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Here is a close up of the top part of the layout.

These little bears and the stitched hearts are from the new Beary Special Thoughts stamp set. The sentiment is also from the set. It comes straight and I just curved it on my stamping block so that it would follow the curve of the paper. The twine is from Trendy Twine.

And last of all here is a close up of the larger bear at the bottom of the layout.

This little cutie was made using an old Coluzzle set that I have. That pretty pink polka dot paper in the background is actually flocked and oh so pretty and soft. It is by Doodlebug Design the smaller polka dot paper is also by Doodlebug Design. The brown paper is Core'dinations. The cute little face is from the Cute and Cuddly Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. The heart is a My Creative Time Die that comes with the 100% Sweetness stamp set. And the sentiment once again comes from the Beary Special Thoughts stamp set by Emma.

MCT Designer Challenge... Tracy

Hello My Creative Time friends, are you ready for another designer challenge? Today Tracy is our designer host and she wants us to use GOOGLY eyes on our project. I can't wait to see what you all create with googly eyes.

I wanted to make a googly eye ghost, it just seemed fun and appropriate. I've been wanting to use this Sandwich Fun face from PKS on a ghost ever since I got it. The eyes on the stamp almost look like googly eyes so I think they look great on this particular face. I also have the ghost on an Action Wobble so he is EXTRA cute and interactive. The candy pattern was made using a background stamp called Candy Background by PKS. The OH so perfect sentiment is from the Treats for My Sweet stamp set by My Creative Time.

I hope that you will take a chance and play along. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Make sure to stop by the My Creative Time blog to see what everyone else has made using GOOGLY eyes. Hugs- Glora

Items Used:

Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge
My Creative Time - Treats for My Sweet
Peachy Keen Stamps - Sandwich Fun
Peachy Keen Stamps- Candy Background
Sakura Gellyroll Pens
Adhesive Rhinestones
GOOGLY EYES

Follower Giveaway...

Hi crafty friends. In just a little less than one month I will have had my craft blog for 3 YEARS. I can not believe it. The time has flown by. I'm also very blessed to currently have a little over 900 public followers on my blog. If I can get to 1000 followers by my 3 year blog-a-versary (October 22, 2012) I will be giving a lucky FOLLOWER the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge along with the Wide Eyed Kids face stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps. These are a couple of my FAVORITES and I'm excited to be able to give you my sweet followers a chance to win them. If you follow me on FaceBook or subscribe to my e-mails you will want to make sure that you are also a public follower of my blog so you can have a chance of winning these:

To ENTER post a comment on this blog post and BE a public FOLLOWER of my blog. I don't normally require you to follow my blog but since it is a prize for thanking my followers you must be one to win.

You may enter a second time if you SHARE about this giveaway on your own blog, on Facebook, OR on Twitter. Just leave a second comment on this post (PLEASE only one bonus comment per person). A total of up to two entries.

Please note that if we make it to 1000 followers I will award the prize and I will only be paying US shipping so if you are out of the US and want to win you will need to be willing to pay the extra cost of shipping. I wouldn't normally do this but since the cartridge is bulky and a little heavier that is how I will have to do it.

Also the winner will have 1 week to claim their prize. If they don't then I will choose another winner.

If we make it I will award the prize on Monday, October 22, 2012. Okay I think that is all for the giveaway. I will try to remind you about it in the next few weeks and link back to it as well. Good luck!

Don't forget that it is Scrapping the Little Things over at My Creative Time, you will definitely want to check  that out as well. Hugs- Glora

MCT September Release Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the My Creative Time September Release Blog Hop. If you came here from Cindy B's blog that you are in the right spot, if not make sure to go to the My Creative Time Blog to get the whole hop in.

I've got a few quick things to share with you and then I will send you on your way.

First a quick and easy treat bag for a large chocolate chip cookie.

I used the new All Around Goodies for ALL of the stamps on this. I also used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies. I borrowed Ruthie's idea of adding some glossy accents to my cookie. The bag is a glassine bag from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and that pretty trim is a picot ribbon from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique. I must admit that this cookie is not homemade and it is NO LONGER fresh baked ;).

If you need some REAL quick Christmas gift card holders this project is just the trick. It doesn't take much time at all just a few die cuts and little bit of stamping.

For this one I used Emma's Embossed Gift Card Holder Die and Gift Card Sentiments. I also used the new Just Tags for the tag and the Just For You stamp set for the tree. For the embellishments I added a few star adhesive rhinestones, some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and a little ribbon.

And last of all I have a Halloween layout to share. My children love Halloween for the TREATS. I mean who doesn't love a bag full of SUGAR? Anyway, I thought these stamps and dies along with some previously released ones would make a fun layout.

The teal and orange squares along the top are for some 2.5 x 2.5" pictures. The middle mat will be for a 4x6 inch picture.

To the side of the main image mat I used the new Just Tags Die and stamped it with a sentiment from Treats for my Sweet. This is a removable die and just slides in and out so that I can add some personal journaling. The hemp is once again from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Along the bottom I used images and sentiments from both the All Around Goodies and also from last year's All Around Halloween. I also used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die.

MCT September Release Sneak Peek Day 2

If you are looking for the Peachy Keen Blog Hop just click HERE.

Well are you loving Emma's new mini release this month? I'm so excited to have these new My Creative Time stamps and dies. They are going to make my holiday treat giving a breeze.

When I first saw the new tag it seemed the perfect size to make a little treat slider with. I used Mini Hershey's Milk Chocolate candy bars for all of these but I believe something like a Laffy Taffy would probably work too. I made one for each of the upcoming holidays.

Here is a close up of the Halloween one:

For this one I used the new Just Tags along with last months stamp set called Treats For My Sweet. When you pull up on the ribbon the candy slides up with it, thus a TREAT slider. The slider idea wasn't my own I have seen a couple of YouTube videos in the past that showed hot chocolate and apple cider sliders I just added my own twist by making it a treat slider. This is what it looks like when you pull up on the bow:

My girls were pretty enchanted with how it could slide in and out. Simple but fun and a breeze to make.

Here is the Thanksgiving one close up:

For this one I used a Turkey from the Peachy Keen Country Bumpkin Minis stamp set along with the letters from the Just Simply Live stamp set by My Creative Time. These would make cute little Thanksgiving name place markers. The will actually stand up on their own with the candy inside.

And last of all this is a close up of the Christmas one:

For this one I used the new Just Tags, the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die, the new All Around Goodies and the previously released All Around Christmas.

Here is a REALLY quick video showing how to put one of these together. It is just music playing in the background because the kids were being lively :).

You will notice that I started the video with my tag cut out kind of like a card. I have another video that shows you how to do that with dies. You can find that video in this POST. You DO NOT have to do it that way. You could just use REALLY tacky glue on each side of two tags or you could machine stitch the sides as well. I just thought it would be easier to have one side already stuck together.

PKS Fall and Halloween Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps Fall and Halloween Blog Hop. I'm happy to have you here. If you came here from Amanda's Crafts and More than you are in the right spot, if not you will want to start back at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog so you can get the whole hop in.

I decided to make a Halloween layout for my project.

I used lots of Peachy products on this and had lots of fun giving each of these jack-o-lanterns a different face.

The title is made from a cut from the Cricut Craftroom exclusive called Classroom - October & November. The faces are from the Monster Mash face assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

For my jack-o-lanterns I cut them all out using the CottageCutz/ PKS Pumpkin Trio die and stamp set. I used all 3 faces from this set for my pumpkins but I also used some faces from some different sets as well. I've DIGITALLY numbered my jack-o-lanterns in the pictures below and I will tell which stamp set each of the faces came from.

#5 Pumpkin Trio, #6 February 2012 SKOTM, #7 Make a Monster. I really loved how the February stamp kit faces looked on these pumpkins.

HOP PRIZES: There will be 5 randomly placed PKS gift certificates rewarded for commenting on the blog hop. We don't know which blogs will have the gift certificates so to increase your odds of winning make sure to get the whole hop in. You will have until Friday morning to finish hopping. I also want to remind you of the special one day sale at Peachy Keen Stamps. There are tiered discounts, 99 cent shipping and a free stamp for every order. Happy hopping - Hugs- Glora
