Monday Madness... Imagine That - Shaped Card

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today is another Monday Madness... Imagine That over at My Creative Time. We are all making shaped cards using our Imagine or patterned paper. I'm using Emma's stamp set called My One and Only. I thought that this 'eternal love' sentiment might look kind of fun done up with an aged look. This isn't my normal style, but I think it is good to try new things.

This heart cut is from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Since I don't have an Imagine I used some patterned paper from PaperTrey Ink. The paper is usually red and white and I inked it up with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The swirly heart layer and banner were cut in white paper and inked up with two shades of distress ink. I dotted around the edges of my heart and added some red rhinestones. And of course the sentiment and banner are from Emma's My One and Only stamp set.

Make sure you drop by Emma's blog to see what she and the rest of the design team have in store for you! Hugs- Glora

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I know, Valentine's Day hasn't even come and gone yet... but I got my beautiful Peachy Keen stamps in the mail and could not wait to start playing with them. So I imagine you will be seeing a fair share of St Patty day projects mixed in with my Valentine ones for a bit.

Anyway, I think this is the CUTEST leprechaun I have ever seen so I just had to make him up. Seriously, it seemed like he was just smiling at me daring me not to stamp and color him ;).

Do you see that beautiful patterned paper. It is a brand new Peachy Keen Stamps background stamp called Lucky Day Shamrock. I used my favorite background stamp technique and I stamped it with a watermark ink pad. Then I sprinkled it with CLEAR embossing powder, heated it up with my heat gun and VOILA a beautiful, glossy, embossed background. The cute little leprechaun and sentiment come from the Kiss Me Leprechaun stamp set. And for the golden colored piece behind the leprechaun I cut out Emma's XL Label Die and stamped it with one of the coordinating XL Label Border stamps.

Okay that is it for today. I hope you are having a wonderful and lucky day! Take care! Hugs- Glora

Valentine's Day Decorations featuring Peachy Keen Stamps

Hello sweet Peachy Keen fans today I have posted this fun project over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. I made these cute little dangling decorations, they are very simple to make and are about 2 feet long. I made 3 different ones to use as Valentine's Day decorations.

Are you interested in making some of these? Well here is what I used to make them. First, I cut this heart from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge at 5". I cut 3 white scalloped hearts and 6 pink hearts so that I could make them double sided. They swirl around a little and I wanted both sides to be equally as cute. For the adorable faces I used some of the beautiful 4" face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. Yes that is right 4" faces. I'm completely in love with them and my mind has been swimming with all the possibilities. I used the faces called, PKK-03 4" Happy Lash Simple Smile, PKK-05 4" Happy Lashes - Open Mouth and PKK-06 4" Happy Lash Mouth Open w/ Tongue Out.

Here is a little closer look at the face with the tongue out:

For the swirl piece all I did was take a spiral shape from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge. Here is a picture of what it looks like when it is first cut out:

I cut it at 4 1/2" but you could cut it smaller or larger depending on how long you want yours to be. I punched a hole in the piece at the very center and one at the end of the spiral. Then I put some twine through the holes and tied a knot to make some little loops. The top twine loop so that I can hang my decoration up and the bottom one is to attach the dangling double sided hearts. The weight of the heart on the middle part pulls the spiral down and makes a long whimsical decoration.

I think I will be making some of these for each holiday using these awesome 4" faces. I'm thinking shamrocks, easter eggs, ghosts, snowflakes, the possibilities are endless...

I also want to show you a close up of each heart real quick because I think these faces make the hearts look SO sweet! Just imagine how cute these hearts would look as a 5" shaped card for Valentine's Day.

For this one I used: PKK-06 4" Happy Lash Mouth Open w/ Tongue Out

And this one has PKK-05 4" Happy Lashes - Open Mouth

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you were inspired to try something fun and different. Have a super Peachy day! Hugs- Glora

Wishing you the Best Birthday Ever!

I made this card with a darling and special little 3 year old in mind. She LOVES elephants and the colors pink and green. So I thought this cute card with an elephant holding 3 balloons from its tail would be a hit with her and I was right :). She loves it and I'm so glad.

This darling elephant is a stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps and is called Happy Go Lucky Elephant. It is just too cute and did you know that this darling stamp has just been made into a die as well. You can pre-order the die at a sale price through January 30th HERE. And of course the stamp I used is already available for purchase. The balloons are a paper punch I've had for years and the PERFECT birthday sentiment is from the Wow! So Many Candles stamp set by My Creative Time.

I hope you are having a FABULOUS day. I will be back on Friday for a fun Peachy Keen Valentine's Day project. I hope to see you then. Hugs- Glora

MCT January Release Blog Hop

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today is the big day where you can grab all of these beautiful stamps and dies that we have been showing you this week. If you came here from the talented Cindy's blog than you are in the right spot. If not, make sure to start back at Emma's blog so you don't miss a single thing!

For the blog hop Emma asked me to feature her brand new Script Type Background. This set includes 2 beautiful 3x3 backgrounds. They are so pretty and full of inspirational words. The first one is more of a script style and the second is more of vintage typewriter style. Both a very fun and pretty. I have made a couple of quick projects with this set. The first is a card.

The background on the squares and on the hearts are from this set. I just alternated them back and forth. The heart die and the big sentiments are all from the already released 100% Sweetness set.

I also made a cute little box using the Script Type Background for the patterned paper (since the stamp is 3x3 and I needed a 6x6 piece of paper for the die, I just stamped it 4 times). I used the beautiful new Bubblegum Treat Box Die for the box and the AWESOME Be Mine bonus stamp set for the grungy heart and sentiment.

These would definitely make for some cute and easy Valentine favors.

Here are pictures of the newly released stamps that I featured today.
