Sneak Peek #2 - My Creative Time - September Release

Hi sweet My Creative Time friends. Welcome to Day 2 of My Creative Time Sneak Peek week. Today we are all showing you a super fun set called Anyday Bingo and Crossword. Talk about a versatile set. There are loads of cute little images, along with a bingo board, crossword blocks, and a FULL ALPHABET. I love it and I seriously can't wait to see what Emma and the rest of the Design Team did with this stamp set. Here is a card I made using the bingo board, the little bunny stamp in the middle, and the beautiful alphabet (to spell out BUNNY):

For the 'bunny hugs' and 'bunny kisses' sentiments I used Emma's Color Me Happy Stamp set (from her very first release). I used a Cute and Cuddly face by Peachy Keen Stamp for the bunny. I was trying to make it look like the bunny was peeking over the edge of the bingo card. I hope it worked. The bunny is from the Easter 2010 cartridge. The image on the cartridge is only the head. I used the head piece and then the little muzzle looked like a paw shape to me, so I used my Gypsy to hide some of the features and used two of the muzzle pieces for the paws. Here is a quick diagram:

I also wanted to show you really quickly a gift card holder that we gave to my parents for Grandparents Day last Sunday. The words Grandma and Grandpa were made using the beautiful font on this new Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set (thanks Emma for giving me this idea). I used Emma's Gift Card Holder Die and the top sentiment is from the Gift Card Sentiments (both from August's stamp and die release).

Sneak Peek #1 - My Creative Time - September Stamp Release

Hello My Creative Time friends. Today is the start of another awesome stamp and die release from My Creative Time. Today we are showcasing the stamp set called Game Night. My family is really into playing games together. We have all sorts of fun board games and I lovingly refer to my mom as the Yahtzee Queen. So with today's set I thought it would be fun to make a game night invitation, something that I would actually love to make for our next big family game night.

Doesn't this little cutie look excited to play Bingo? This girl cut is from the Beyond Birthday's Cricut cartridge (she is on button #4 across the top of the overlay or on page 93 of the booklet). She is just supposed to be a silhouette image, but I thought it would be fun to cut her out three times, once in peach, once in yellow polka dots, and once in brown. From there I hand cut the dress, hair and barrette. I must admit that I did not like the way the hair turned out the first time so I used part of a hairdo from the Everyday Paper Doll Cricut cartridge to make it look better. The face is from the Princess Faces stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. And last but most definitely not least the darling bingo board and sentiment are from Emma's new Game Night stamp set.

I also did the inside of this card up just a little bit:

I want to make sure that you know that the 'Date:' and 'Time:' stamps are NOT on the Game Night stamp set they are from the "Honey Do" List stamp set that has been out for a while. I just thought that they coordinated PERFECTLY on here. See how the fonts match and everything. The darling dies and 'Let's play!' sentiments ARE on the new Game Night set.

My Creative Time's Design Team Day - God Bless America

Today over at My Creative Time we are posting projects in honor of the anniversary of September 11th. What a sad and scary day that was. I remember it very well, as I'm sure you do as well. I am truly thankful for the freedom that I enjoy and the many men and women who work hard to keep our country safe and free.

For this card I used a couple of Emma's stamp sets. For the star background and the God Bless America sentiment I used 'My Little Firecracker' stamp set. Then for the 'Thank You for your Service' I used the 'Happy Homecoming' set. I also have to say that I'm LOVING how many sentiments fit PERFECTLY into Emma's 'Stitched Oval Die.'

I hope you will drop by the My Creative Time blog to see what Emma and the rest of the design team have in store for you!!!! Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam #8

Hello sweet crafty friends. Today is the first Wednesday of September, which means it is time for another Simply Crafts with my amazing and talented friend Pam of Simply-Pam. If you are new to this, Pam and I take turns choosing a cut from a Cricut cartridge and make something with it. This month it was my turn to choose and I chose the gumball machine from the Sweethearts cartridge.

I made this card for my husband, in fact I have wanted to make it for him since I got the cartridge but never got around to it. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. To make a long story short, he hid my engagement ring inside a gumball machine (in his personal office) over 10 years ago. Little did he know that I was a sucker for gumball machines. Well I got the ring, he proposed and everytime I see a gumball machine I think of him 'my sweet love!'

For my card, I used twice as many gumballs to make it look more full, half of them are colored cardstock and the other half were cut on white cardstock and I colored them in with my Copics. I also added a piece of acetate to the front of the gumball machine to make it look more realistic.

Well, I hope that you make sure to drop by Pam's blog and see what awesome project she came up with using this cut. I know it will be AMAZING. Click HERE to go to Pam's blog.

Piano Birthday Card

I wanted to make a card for a very sweet friend. I work with her at church and she is simply amazing. I wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her. When I was thinking of a card for her I just wanted to do something that looked really classy. I hope I accomplished that plus she does play the piano so that helped with the inspiration as well.

All the cuts are from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. The beautiful music pattern is a stamp. It is called 'Vintage Music' by Market Street Stamps, and the oh so perfect birthday sentiment is from My Creative Time's 'Many Greetings' stamp set. I Inked the edges a little and added a few gold accents and I was done. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Simple Anniversary Card

I just wanted to share a simple anniversary card that I had made last month and forgotten all about...

The cut is from Lyrical Letters. If you are ever in a pinch for a cute and simple card this cartridge has some great little treasures on it. All I did was add some stitching and a sentiment and it was done. The beautiful sentiment is from Emma's 'Many Greetings' stamp set. This set has terrific sentiments for all sorts of occasions. I LOVE it!

That's it for me today, I posted a football birthday card earlier, so go ahead and take a peek if you would like! I hope you are having a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Items Used:

Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge
My Creative Time - Many Greetings
Sakura White Gellyroll Pen

Football Themed Birthday Cards

My Dad really loves football and his birthday was last week, so I thought this would be the perfect theme for his birthday card. I also incorporated the colors of his favorite college team - BYU. It was a hit!

This card is 5.5" x 5.5." I used Emma's 'Wow! So Many Candles' stamp set for the sentiment and embossed it with the Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug embossing folder. I also made a similar card for my great-nephew but his is standard A2 Size of 4.25 x 5.5.

I had made a similar style of a basketball card a while back. HERE is the link if you are interested on seeing it or getting more details on that one.

Items Used:

Sports Mania Cricut cartridge (everything but the Y)
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge (Y)
My Creative Time stamps - Wow! So Many Candles
Cuttlebug - Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folder
