NSD Challenge #9 "Take Shape"

This challenge was to make a shaped card or scrapbook LO, etc.

This adorable little doggie is from the Everyday Paperdoll cartridge. I added a prima flower and a little bling.

NSD Challenge #8 "Love My Color"

We were encouraged to make a project all in one color with one neutral color. We also needed to add a flower to the project.

I liked this challenge because I don't normally stick to one color. I really like the end effect. I chose red because I had plenty of red flowers to use and I felt like it was appropriate for the sentiment I wanted to use. Next time I think I will use an embossing folder for the neutral paper too.

NSD #7 "Hey Dad"

This project was supposed to be for a dad or another male in your life. They definitely wanted a masculine type of card. My nephew is leaving on a mission soon and so I wanted to make him a card. I saw a card on Simply Pam's site that reminded me of the great tie/shirt collar cut on the Designer Calendar cartridge. I wanted to make this into a tri-fold card and for the most part I like how it turned out (I need to buy a congratulations stamp, my handwriting is alright but a stamp would have looked a lot nicer).

I wasn't completely happy with the original card so I had to make a new one. I designed and cut a shirt pocket in my Gypsy and added a Congrats sticker instead of my handwriting. I like this one much better.

Here is a look at the card opened up:

NSD #4 "I Like You Least"

For this challenge we were supposed to use our least favorite cartridge we have. I used Paper Pups. It was given to me and I just hadn't ever gotten around to using it. I actually really liked the pup I cut out and my girls loved it, so we might be using this cartridge more in the future.

The cuttlebug embossing folder is Divine Swirls and the doggie is popped up with pop dots.

NSD #1 "Mother Dear I Love You So"

This challenge was to make a card for your mom or another special woman in your life. For this card, I picked out an element from the patterned paper (a dragonfly) and I tried to use similar colors. These are not colors I normally would have put together but I like the end result. Here is my card:

The dragonfly is from the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge. The shadow layer is popped up with pop dots and the regular layer the wings are scored and slightly lifted.

NSD Challenge #11 "Colors of the Rainbow"

For this project we were supposed to use the colors of the rainbow. We had a box of crayons for my daughter's teacher (for teacher appreciation week) and wanted to dress it up. Here it is:

I covered the box of crayons with scrapbook paper. This crayon paper was super fun and had tons of color. I stamped a crayon and message on a white rectangle piece of cardstock, rounded the corners with my corner rounder and tied a ribbon around it.

NSD Challenge #2 "Getting Scrappy"

This challenge was to use our scraps. I have tons of scraps and always like to look for ways to use them. Here is my card for this challenge I made an envelope to match too:

These papers came from my scrap pile and the thanks sentiment is from the Don Juan cartridge and I did some doodling with a Sakura white gel pen.
