Smile, It's Your Birthday!

This is the card that I made for my nephew's birthday.

I made my own patterned paper for this card. I used some glossy stamping paper and the super cute Robo Star stamp by Market Street Stamps. I used my Versamark ink pad and then added some white embossing powder. I heat set the embossing and then with a sponge and some different shades of red and orange ink I sponged the background. I haven't used this technique in a really long time. I forgot how much I like it.

The little robot from B is Boy Cricut Lite cartridge is attached to an Action Wobble. I didn't have time to make a short video, but I'm pretty sure most of you can imagine it wobbling back and forth saying "Smile, it's your birthday," in robot language. Thanks for stopping by. I hope it is a great day!

  9. Glora,

Way cute!!! :) And I love the designer paper you made! Thanks for sharing the technique (I have a ton of photo paper that I think would pass as glossy paper).

Have you been shopping or are you going to be a designer for Market Street Stamps?! I love them...just have to make the time to go & check them out.

    Crafty hugs,
