Emma at My Creative Time is having a Back to School challenge. You are encouraged to use the Paisley cartridge if you have it. I ordered mine two weeks ago and still haven't got it, so I used Locker Talk instead. I wanted to make some little cards to write notes of encouragement in. Then I will occasionally tuck one into my little girl's sack lunches. I hope they will be a fun surprise for her. I used Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies for the faces.

Dino Birthday Wishes
One of my many nephew's is having a birthday this week. I decided to make him a dinosaur birthday card.
This is SUPER simple, but I tend to keep cards for boys more basic. The dinosaur is from Paperdoll Dress Up. I used the Cricut markers to draw him and then cut him out. Then I used my Versamarker to color in his tummy and scales on his back and tail. The present is cut from Sweet Treats.

Christmas is Coming...
I saw the saying "Merry Christ-mouse" and an idea came to mind. I had to get it designed and put together. It was fun. I hope you like it (even if Christmas is over 4 1/2 months away :)). It never hurts to get a head start on Christmas cards right? I might actually get some sent out this year if I start making them now.
I saw the saying Merry Christ-mouse in a line of stamps by Sarah Pink Cricut. The mouse is from Animal Kingdom, the santa hat is from Paperdoll Dress-Up, the scarf is from Everyday Paper Dolls, and the candy cane is from Christmas Cheer. The face is stamped on with Peachy Keen Stamps - they have the BEST stamps EVER. They just make everything so much cuter! I cut the Santa hat 3 times and cut the pieces apart so I could fun flock and layer the pieces, I also used fun flock for the scarf. This card was lots of fun to make.

Adorable Tear Bear
I finally got a chance to play with the adorable Peachy Keen - CottageCutz Tear Bear. It is SO cute and the creative possibilities are endless. I LOVE adorable, cuddly, little bears and wanted to make mine soft and cuddly too. Isn't she sweet?
Here is a close up where you can see the soft fun flock on the sweet little bear.
This card was made using the Peachy Keen - Cottage Cutz Tear Bear die and coordinating stamps. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background paper and to cut out my die. I used my Xyron to apply adhesive and fun flock to the bear. I stamped the face with Staz-on ink and it stamped but it was a little bit too faint, because of the fun flock, so I used my bic ultra thin pen to carefully darken in the cute stamped face. I chalked the edges of the bear and added some blush and pink to the inner ears. I also added a stamped sentiment and some ribbon.
If you are interested below is a little more information on using your Xyron to apply glitter or fun flock:
I have enjoyed using my Xyron to apply glitter and fun flock before but on occasion a piece will come out without adhesive covering it completely. When that happened I thought I had to recut the piece and try running it through the Xyron again to get good coverage. I watched an awesome video by Kimberly at My Craft Spot that suggested just adding a little tape adhesive to the unapplied area. I tried it because a couple of my pieces didn't come out completely covered and it worked like a charm. If you are interest in seeing a video tutorial on this process click on this link. She does an awesome job.

PKS Challenge 34
Peachy Keen Stamps is having another sketch challenge on their challenge blog. It is another super cute sketch. I just had to use one of my new die and stamp sets for this challenge. I ended up chosing the cute penguin for this project and I can't wait to put something together with the adorable little tear bear.
Below is the cute sketch we were given to work with.
I used the following items: Planting Schoolbook for the scalloped edge, George and Basic Shapes for the ovals and rectangels and Alphalicious for the cute scalloped oval. Of course my awesome amie, Gypsy, helped me size everything. And of course I used the ADORABLE Cottage Cutz Penguin Doll die and stamp set from Peachy Keen and The Scrapping Cottage.
Below is a close up of that cute little penguin. I chalked around the edges, but unfortunately I couldn't get it to photograph very well. Oh well, she is such a cutie and super simple to assemble!

Wedding Cake Card
I finally used the wedding cake shape card from the Wild Card cartridge. I cut the flowers that were supposed to go on it, but ended up using my Prima flowers and rhinestones instead. This is super simple, but I like it. Have a yummy day!
