Sunshine and Smiles

I wanted to make an encouragement card for a sweet neighbor. It has been cold, grey and snowy here. I thought this card might brighten her day.

This card is also my submission for the current Peachy Keen Challenge. I used Everyday Face Parts for the Sunshine's face. I used an Action Wobble on the sunshine. I thought it would make the card even more fun and playful. I think it worked :). This ADORABLE sentiment stamp is by Pink By Design's Take the Cake stamp set. This set is so cute. And some of the sentiments such as this one can be used for other occasions besides birthdays.

Here is another quick video showing the sunshine powered by an Action Wobble.

As always, please note that any videos suggested at the end of my video are not endorsed by me.

*Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face Parts
*Action Wobble

Online Shopping

I just ordered my Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite and Inspired Heart Cricut Lite cartridges from Walmart.com. I'm a little sad that Playtime only comes with the machine. But c'est la vie! Now it's time for some sleep. Good luck with all of your shopping!!!

Disney Diaper Cake with an Action Wobble

So I mentioned that I made baby shower invitations for my sister's baby shower. I also made her a diaper cake for a decoration at the baby shower. We had gone with a Minnie Mouse theme with the invitations so I stuck with that for the diaper cake too.

This project was a combined Cricut and Disney Print Creations project. I love the Disney babies on the print program. They are so sweet.

I put an Action Wobble on the Mickey and Minnie on the rocking horse cake topper. It was perfect. Everyone loved making them rock back and forth.

Here is a quick video showing the Action Wobble topper in motion:

I have several weddings to attend in the next little while, so I thought I should make some cards to have on hand. This one needed an Action Wobble so that the wedding bells could 'ring' back and forth. All it needs now is a little sound card so you can hear the bells ringing :).

Here is a short video of the bells ringing (powered by an Action Wobble).

Christmas Wall Hanging

Peachy Keen Stamps is having their regular Tuesday challenge and it is a sketch. I started doodling the sketch on a piece of paper for inspiration and while I was drawing it ideas popped into my head. Things like, that looks like a fireplace with a Christmas village on top, a Christmas tree would look cute there, oh and how about a rocking horse that really rocks back and forth (with the assistance of an amazing Action Wobble) over here. I started designing my creation in my Gypsy and then when I got around to cutting it out and putting it together this is what I ended up with.

It is a 12 x 12 wall hanging. I'm either going to put it in a frame sans glass or a shadowbox and use it for a Christmas decoration. There is actually a LOT of dimension to this project, it is just hard to catch in a picture. The tree and presents are popdotted and with the Action Wobble on the rocking horse it sticks out even further than the tree and the presents.

I used Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies and brown ink for the cute little doll's face.

I used an Action Wobble and Peachy Keen Stamps Funshine Faces Side Views for the rocking horse.

Here is a little video showing the rocking horse rocking back and forth. Because the Action Wobble had to be placed in the horses middle area it doesn't wobble like crazy, but just enough for a nice rocking motion. I love experimenting with these fun little Action Wobbles.

*Please note that any videos recommended at the end of this are not endorsed by me.

Items Used:
*Gypsy
*Christmas Solutions Cartridge for most of the images
*George and Basic Shapes, Christmas Solutions and Create a Critter for the fire and fireplace
*Action Wobble for the rocking horse
*Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies for the dolls face
*Peachy Keen Stamps Funshine Faces Side Views for the rocking horses eye
*Adhesive rhinestones
*Pop dots for the tree and presents to give added dimension
*White Sakura Gellyroll pen
*Black Ultrathin Bic Writer
*Versamarker

Full Disclosure: I was given the Action Wobbles at no cost to me to review on this blog. However, if I didn't believe in it, I wouldn't be talking it up!

Baby Shower Invites

I have been super busy making a bunch of baby shower invitations. My sister is having her first baby and I'm SO happy for her. I made a couple of cards so they could decide which one to use for the invites.

They decided that they liked the baby onesie card the best, but that they want it in pink. Tomorrow I will post the pink options. Maybe you can let me know which "pink" one you like the best. Have a good night.

Elf Ornament

I was excited when I learned that I would get the Christmas Solutions Cricut cartridge with the Gypsy download last month. I didn't have this one and had been wanting it. I wanted to break it in when I heard about the "Let's Face It" challenge over at Peachy Keen. We were supposed to make an ornament. I thought this cute little elf would work well. I stamped his face with Funshine Faces Side View Peach Keen stamps. My husband suggested that I make a character holding a present attached to a fun Action Wobble. This seemed like the perfect time to do that. I have a feeling my children will be playing with this ornament a bit.

Here is a quick video demostrating the Action Wobble. It is interesting how the size of the object affects how much the wobble seems to move. I am really having fun experimenting with these.

What is an Action Wobble?

I've had some of you ask what an Action Wobble is. It is a collapsible spring that has two flat sticky ends that can be applied to any flat surface. Here are some pictures of what one looks like (click the pictures to enlarge them):

These amazing little creations will lay down basically flat for shipping in an envelope but spring back to life when removed from the envelope. They are amazing!!! AWi (the makers of Action Wobble) have started up a Facebook page. Feel free to 'like' their page and learn more about Action Wobbles and to see some better pictures too. www.facebook.com/actionwobbles

Hockey Puck Action Wobble Card

This card is one that I hope I don't need to make again. My niece went to a college hockey game and got hit in the side of the head with a puck that came out of bounds. The poor girl ended up with 30 something stitches and a very sore ear/jaw area. She has been a good sport about the whole thing and we are just thankful that she didn't get hurt worse than she did.

Here is another short video showing the Action Wobble puck.

You ROCK with Action Wobbles

Hello crafting friends. I have yet another card using my super fun Action Wobbles. All I have to say is that Action Wobbles ROCK!!! This card shows you how well they rock. I also think that the Action Wobble company rocks. They have been awesome to work with and how amazing is it that they are giving away free samples. Don't forget to respond by 5 pm CST on one of the Action Wobble Team Member's blogs if you are interested in some of these awesome Action Wobbles. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to the amazing Pam of Simply-Pam. She is the one that got all of us craft blogging girls introduced to the world of Action Wobbles. Thanks SO much Pam. You ROCK big time in my book.

Here is another short video. I just can't show an Action Wobble card without at least a brief preview of how awesome they are. I also regret to say that this is one cut on Smiley Cards that won't work with Peachy Keen Stamps. The black is the base image and the pink is actually two separate pieces that end up making the sunglasses. I love it anyway, but thought I would share what I learned as I was designing this.

Gobble 'til You Wobble with Action Wobbles

I am lucky to be part of a focus group that gets to try out a product called Action Wobbles. These are similar to pop dots in the fact that they lift your projects off the page. They are different in the fact that they have a spring like design that gives them movement. I love the fact that they can lay almost perfectly flat (like in a mailing envelope) but then they spring to life with movement and fun. Action Wobbles will be available to the general public in January of 2011.

These Action Wobbles (collapsible springs) would work great for any project you want to give dimension and movement to. I thought it would be fun to make a 'Gobble 'til You Wobble' card with wobbling turkeys.

Here is a super short video showing how these little cuties wobble.

Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter Faces Medium
Action Wobbles
